Wav-file recorded with the zoom h6 with stereo microphone. Recorded inside a staircase from a house from around the 1950s. A woman is walking down the stairs, passes the recorder and walks down to the cellar. You hear the keys in her hand and a car passing in the distance. She opens a door. At some point there is slight handling noise from holding the recorder. Bonny orbit sound library.

I wanted to record the sound of a keyring - or rather the keys strapped to it - make while in mid-air. There are the keys audible, recorded hitting the stack of hay (soft landing) and air blowign into the mics while the recordied has high velocity. I was throwing my recorer with my left hand, while simultaneously throwing my keyring with my right hand. The throw was vertical and the landing zone was a pile of hay. I thing there are some interesting sound here, i'm uploading it unedited to make it possible to cut out whatever you like. Recorded with a flying zoom h2 at 48khz/24-bit, edited, nomalized and converted to flac using audacity.

2 finger snaps that can be used for anything. I made them for use in some of my music on my youtube/soundcloud, however because i'm so kind i uploaded them here to use in anyway. There isn't a set tempo or key, just 2 finger snaps that you can chop up, reverse, and do whatever you want with them!.

Hitting radiator with fingers and scrapping over with a metallic object (car-key). Additionally amplified, notch-filter and accented subs. Results in a interesting sound scape. I've started to save my files in pcm format (instead of acm) because there was additionally quality loss. Recorded with a ultra cheap microphone unit of my mp3 player. Reduced noise.

Original drum sample recorded straight from an original vintage yamaha psr-36 digital synthetizer from 1988. Best quality you can find online. Also, some samples aren't half bad. Use creatively and add some fx's. No eq or fx. Just some denoising.

Two sustained voice samples i subsequently pitch shifted and layered for an ambient work (to achieve an 80's choir pad effect). The key is almost in middle c, but slightly off. . . Because i can't sing. The second, lower voice sample was recorded extremely close to the mic to achieve clipping; i wanted to get a buzzy, boomy sound out of it.

Wasn't going to upload this, but it was pointed out to me that it sounds like the intro to a song in a minor key. Not sure i see that, but the suggestion is that some composer will seize on it as an opening to an instrumental that fits it. I want to see if that will happen. If that's not practical, i feel sure someone will find a use for it.

Keycap clicks 1 cherry mx clear switchmechanical keyboard clicking. Different keyscherry mx clear mechanical switchesthe cherry mx clear switch is a medium stiff, tactile, non-clicky mechanical keyboard switch in the cherry mx family. The slider is not actually clear but colourless (in effect, translucent white). The word clear is cherry's own designation to distinguish it from the older cherry mx white which is a clicky switch. Older types of the "white" also have translucent white sliders and are therefore visually indistinguishable from clears. The cherry mx tactile grey switch is used for space bars in keyboards with cherry mx clear switches. It has a similarly-shaped stem but a stiffer spring. Mx clear is reported to have first appeared in 1989; however, it was included in a march 1988 numbering system datasheet for mx switches so it is assumed to have been in production in 1988 or earlier. This is a fragment from the aria ah mes amis at a lower pitch and badly performed. Iintend to use it for a coursera homework (audio signal processing for music applications). The intention is to transpose it and simulate a morfing like a falseto to the true key where the tenor hits high c, which i obviously cannot hit, otherwise i wouldn't be taking coursera courses and uploading to freesound. . .

Created using tracktion waveform-10. I used 3 instances of the builtin synth subtractive, 1 was for the body of the snare the other 2 were the noise to try and replicate the wires of the snare, finally i used zynaddsubfx to create the transient. There was some eq applied to boost key frequencies in around 200hz and mastermix plugin to compress the audio.

Five is four: a polyrhythmic analog-synth loop with ambiguous five or four time signature. Slightly frantic sounding, arpeggiator-like rising pattern a bit like a shepard tone, it's a 5/4 pattern, but accents are distributed in 4/4. 180 bpm, key is a-minor (a-minor then f-major). Two loops marked in wav file, first is the bare synth pattern, loop is samples 0 to 640,000; second is with a pad, loop is samples 960,000 to 1,600,000.

Edit (mar 2018): no need to ask if you need to give me credit. Up to you. Just continue your amazing work with sounds & music. ;). Specs: 80bpm, 48000 hz, 24 bit, wav format, (i think it is in the key of g# / ab), original file name - haunting tone in g# abinstruments used (all found in reason 5 soundbank; all virtual): "a" piano, grand piano, pizzicato strings, violin, a random ghost layer synthesized in maelstrom graintable synthesizer, double basseffects used: a little equalization here and there; a little bit of delay on the pizzicato strings; volume automation.

Arpeggios in bm key : bm, am5b, g, f#7. Played on acoustic nylon guitar. Melancholic / sad feeling, the second chord has a dissonant flat dominant to give a hint of strangeness to the phrase. Sound capture using internal guitar electronics (godin multiac grand concert duet). Recording device is a tascam gt-r1. Initial sound was stereo with left and light sides 180 degrees out of phase. I converted to mono using audacity. Recorded on the 12-dec-2015 in houston, texas.

Raw audio of me typing on my old perkins brailler, this time with a sheet of paper in it. I believe something was wobbling around the desk and i couldn't get rid of that noise with audacity, however it isn't all that unnatural for an object to be vibrating or wobbling when someone is typing on a heavy brailler like this. Recorded with a zoom h1n.

Line samples from a casio ap-45 on the default grand piano patch. Samples every c and g from c2 through to c9 with a short sustain. Velocity is pretty aggressive and it doesn't sound quite in tune to my ear. Feels like it's a little bit out. You may want to tune these yourself, if you plan to use them for anything significant. Minimal post processing on these. Just enough to get them roughly even in terms of overall volume.

Line samples from a casio ap-45 on the default grand piano patch. Samples every c and g from c2 through to g8 with the sustain pedal down. Velocity is pretty aggressive and it doesn't sound quite in tune to my ear. Feels like it's a little bit out. You may want to tune these yourself, if you plan to use them for anything significant. No post processing done, so it might be worthwhile to normalize the samples out, if you're planning on putting them into a sampler for playback.
