This is a snippet of a lesson i had with my incredible undergrad professor where we talk about a piece i was writing for bowed piano ensemble. He was incredibly influential on my creative process and as students we would regularly use his voice in electronic pieces by stealth recording his lectures. It only felt right to use one of these snippets for this project since it brings back so many great memories.
Short samples useful to add transient accenting to sounds, can be layered with other samples, can be used to make drum samples, basses, organic keys, or stretched, reversed, sliced to create even more complex snippets.
