One explosion sound i created using wavepad sound editor, adobe audition 3 and my high quality microphone. Sounds used to get this explosion, in case you want to replicate it;. -kicked rocks (recorded by me)-throwing rocks from a distance (recorded by me)-edited and stretched beer hiss (recorded by me)-edited chambagne pop sound (recorded by me)-rocket hiss (replica by me). Applied effects;. Mastering (in adobe audition 3), increased "exciter" up to 11. 5%. High-pass filter (in adobe audition 3). Stretch (in adobe audition 3), in "high precision" mode. Reverb (in wavepad sound editor pro). The sound sounds very common, because most people use this method. In case you want to use it, please give me credits.

Sample of a metallic percussion hit. The sound is quite dark and muffled. I call it underwater drum, because it sounds to me like it's underwater. This sample is tuned to a1 but there is a very dominant overtone at b1, which is the musical interval of a minor second. The source of the sample was the platter of a dismantled hard disk drive, hit with a wooden mallet. It was then pitched down a lot. The sample is almost raw, i just added some slight eq. The sample was intended to be used with a sampler, you may want to add some reverb for this and filter the previously mentioned overtone, when you use it in combination with other tuned instruments. Also, the pitch is probably not perfectly tuned. Microphone: akq perception 120post-processing: pitch manipulation & eq.

A scary tune i made in garageband for something called victors crypt!. Did some minor chords on a very reverbed piano. Added some drums at the middle and threw in some more scary stuff to spice it up a bit. I believe this could be used for an intro/outro, something scary, spooky, weird, thrilling, horrific, creepy, cool or anything you can think of. This is an edited field recording that i used in a track of mine. I recorded it at the zoom natural park, near torino, italy. It's actually 4 tracks of waterfalls and birds signing, with a little delay on the birds. It's made to loop around itself unnoticeably. If someone is interested, i'm willing to release the whole field recording. It's 7 tracks, but very little of it is devoid of external noise. If you like this but don't like my edit/would like more control over it, please comment. I can and will upload at least the 4 tracks i used to make this one. Learn more about zoom: http://www. Zoomtorino. Itlisten to the track i composed using this: http://soundcloud. Com/zoomtorino/injohannesburg-aware/. My track is going to be featured in the park throughout the summer! isn't that great? :).

A dark bit of music i made in garageband for something called victors crypt!. It's basically two guitars with a lot of twang and reverb doing the main part. A piano is lying on a massive chord with some tones in between. It's dark, eerie and full of murderous vibes. Could be useful in anything cool, intro, outro, game, dark, eerie, spooky, creepy, scary, horrific, mysterious, crime-ish, thrilling or whatever comes to mind. We have the movie "chronicles of riddick" starring vin diesel, and at one point thandie newton walks around him, seeking approval. She gets it, as vin growls, "it's been a long time since i smelled beautiful. " his voice is incomparable, as he exudes a touch of evil with that. Nevertheless i laugh every time i hear it, because it suggests he needs a shower. Try as we might though, we can't quite duplicate it. This was the most recent and possibly best effort. We can't publish vin's voice so here you go. Repeated it once with a bit of reverb. We tried this before and it was moderated and posted. Apologies to the moderator, there was a glitch in the file because i can't get him to say "i" instead of "i've" and i had tried to remove the letter "v. ".

Thrilling and cool music i made in garageband for something called victors crypt!. Made this drumbeat with a lot of percussions. After i recorded the bass i decided to go with an "airy" guitar with a lot of reverb in the chords. I added electric guitar and a synth-choir as well. A little scary sumthin' sumthin' i made in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. It starts with a steady drumbeat before the main melody comes in, played on a kid piano. For some reason toy instruments are the spookiest. Woohaa!i put some chords in a lot of reverb between that repeating melody. This is an updated (improved is debatable) version of my previous electric contact stun gun firing sound, except longer and without peaking. Oh and higher sampling rate so you can hear all the higher frequencies better when you pitch it down. You'll immediately notice it sounds like the boring buzz of a bee. Oh well, not like you'll get a lightning storm. That's about it. Don't forget to have fun. Copy pasta---also commonly and incorrectly referred to as a "taser" which is on the same level as calling a magazine a "clip". See google for more info. I can't help that it sounds like a bee. Also if it's too short, you'll have to make it longer in your daw. Uses (apart from videos that involve a stun gun or maybe a real taser brand taser): magic lighting zaps? a game show buzzer?. Possible vst modifications. Reverb: sound impulses for speakers. Distortion (guitar style): military style radio noise. Chorus/flange: science sounding things. Pitch: at -30 semitones you get some low pitched sound similar to a airsoft aeg which may be ideal for montage airsoft videos where piles of tokyo marui m4s traditionally muffled by the gopro waterproof case. // at -45 semitones you resemble gun fire at a distance. Mathematically at 10 rps (600 rpm) you could use this as a sit in for a distant fired ak-47 rifle ideal for video games, war movies, mods, etc. Apply a resonant filter and some reverb for appropriate outdoor acoustics. And nobody will know your distant machine gun sound was a civilian stun gun except for us semi colon right parenthesis. Or you could also apply ringmod at ~9000 hz to simulate ear ringing for those ptsd scenes. Or some gau-8 avenger. Trimming + looping + pitch: if you can loop this properly in a daw you could even create a saw style bass for electronic dance music.

A piece of music i made in garageband for something called victors crypt. The tune starts out with a bassline, pretty slow. But when the beats come in it's a pretty fast paced piece. Kept things simple and just added some low pitched strings and, voices and some reverbed sounds. It ends in a kind of mysterious and spooky way. Suited for anything dark, spooky, eerie, suspence, thrilling for instance. Think it would work great to a game, youtube-channel or episode, movie or whatever you feel like. Made in ableton live this time, it is a multilayered loop consisting of recordings of an ak47, a 30 caliber 1918, and an m60 machine gun to make a rediculous powerful sound. A very short clicky kick drum with the high end reduced is added before the initial gunshot to make it punch more, otherwise it would sound weaker. There are two mechanical bolt sounds, one covering the upper mid range, and the other covering the extreme highs. Shell ejections and two reverb tails were mixed in at the end with some simple automated panning to make it move around the stereo field. The tempo slowly decreases to simulate barrel heating. Lots of processing. The layers were eq'ed, then ran into a software amp that is gently distorting the low and mid range. Then smashed together with ott multiband upward/downward compression to bring out the details. A maximizer was used to bring up the loudness some. Enjoy.

A tune i did on acoustic guitar to something called victors crypt. Did it on a four track recorder on my phone. I had the idea in my head that it would fit perfectly with strings. The band satanic overdrve took my idea with my permission and used strings and arranged it on their selftitled debut album. They even did an animated video to it. Here's the link to it:https://youtu. Be/pme7_yty9zw. I think of a mad scientist doing evil experiments in a dark basement somewhere in the woods. Would fit to something in the horror genre, something wicked and dark. . A very mellow and ambient music loop. Completely seamless. It has a horrid start because of the whole seamless loop stuff, please read further down. . . The piano piece is one of orangefreesounds' many beautiful looping piano melodies. I added some effects and an ambient mellotron using the free, but stunning redtron se vst instrument, which uses recorded samples of a real mellotron. Highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic mellotron sound. . . Please excuse the rough start, the reason why it sounds so weird is because it is a prefect loop, that means that everything, including all the effects, loops perfectly. What you hear in the very start is the reverb and delay effects from the end carrying over to the start. It will sound completely seamless once looped!. . It might not sound good as a preview, so i recommend to download and listen to it on your own device, as the website has a bad habit of compressing and adding a bunch of annoying squeaking sounds to the audio. .

Here it is! my first ever submission on freesound! i decided to start this all out with a bang, and post something really cool that i'm proud of making. I'm not sure exactly what this creature was supposed to be. I'll leave that up to your imaginations. How it was made:. Software: fl studio 20. Plugin(s): serum, valhallaroom, ott, fruity parametric eq 2, and fruity delay 2. This was made completely with synthesizers. I used serum for the main synth, made copies of it, and modified each of them to sound unique from the other. I'd try to explain how the synth was made, but there's a lot of stuff. To process it, i used ott to make it sound more powerful and clear, eq to get the frequencies and texture right, delay with a low pass filter to get that outdoors echo feel, and valhalla room for the reverb. I had fun making these. Enjoy!.

Pistol fired outdoors with ricochet. Single shot, fairly close, with fast fadeout. Narrow stereo image, no panning, almost monophonic. Wholly synthesized. No weapon was fired in the making of this sound. It's an emulated sound effect of a sidearm gunshot with a cliche ricochet sound, like in the vintage western movies and ww2 films that they showed on tv when i was a kid. Can be used in a game, perhaps, or a none-too-serious vidclip. The sound of the pistol cartridge explosion is default flstudio kick, clap and snare slowed right down. A single tap of delay is added to lend an impression of echo off a middle distance hard surface. The ricochet noise was made with sytrus running as a vsti inside flstudio. It took an entire day of head scratching, oscillator tweaking and envelope mangling to get something that reasonably resembles a sound that i recall from the old movies. I think i'll shoot myself before i try something like this again. :). Plus the usual flstudio compressors, eq, reverb and delay - nothing tricky, just standard stuff.

Theme scary siren :. Production step :i record a scream. I cut it and extract two different sounds from it. I change the pitch to get the sound more high-pitched. I also change the tempo to be more slow. I separate the track in two and invert the last part. With the enveloppe tool, i change some part of my track manually. I amplify the track. I also use the reverb effect and amplify the size of the room of 60%. I used the noise reduction. At the end i fade out. I used the noise reduction. Description :this sound look like a siren or an alarm. Because the sound is high-pitched, it award an horrific aspect to the track. For me this siren can take place in an old and creepy factory. In some aspect, there is some metallic noise in this sound. The no-regularity of the siren also participate to this strangeness feeling. Typologie de schaeffer :. This started out as a good idea for one of my projects but began to have a life of it's own as i rolled up my sleeves and fussed over every detail. As you will hear, this sound file/track embraces panning like their is no tomorrow. You should be able to fold your sounds into it. Either snaking through it with your own panning sounds, or laying your sounds straight down the middle. - you should find several looping points within the 2:28 runtime. Most of the sounds i upload are from songs where i have lost my direction. In sharing them here, i hope someone can pick them up and make them part of something beautiful. I would love to hear what you make of them as it will be a source of inspiration to me. To see the possibilities beyond my own horizon. Everything starts off as a soundbridge project. I occasionally use aria maestosa for midi composition as the sounds are basic and pure. Audacity can't be beat when it comes to clipping. Engine dj is my library manager.

I have built a nonlinearcircuits sloth lfo, the regular version. Sloth is a chaotic lfo. The output is based on the lorenz system. It is a system of ordinary differential equations. It is notable for having chaotic solutions for certain parameter values and initial conditions. In particular, the lorenz attractor is a set of chaotic solutions of the lorenz system which, when plotted, resemble a butterfly or figure eight (very much from wikipedia). The sloth has two outputs x and y. Think of them as coordinate pairs. The output will probably never repeat itself but there is a pattern. I have built the regular sloth it usually takes approx 15 seconds to make a rough figure 8, one cycle in the “butterly”. The knob changes the chaotic pattern. At some settings the signals will spend more time in one strange attractor than the other. Now i’m testing the module in different ways. In this sound i have connected white noise to a filter. The filter frequency is controlled by sloth (x output). In this patch i have set the initial frequency at 12 o'clock. . . The output sound from filter goes to reverb.

Some cafe ambience severely altered with blok modular fx. Was originally a long jam cut up into a bunch of individual files but i figured searching through them would be a pain so i merged them back into one file. So listen through and pick the sounds you like with a wav editor, or enjoy it in its own regard as abstract sound sculpture or something. I don't want to divulge too much of what the patch looked like but it random note values with each keyboard press which were then ran through a waveshaper. Later on i add some reverb and use various things to alter the panning for some strange stereo effects. Edit: you might want to use a dc eliminator on the samples because the waveshaper creates some dc offset (basically useless low/zero frequency noise for those not in the know). But maybe it has some aesthetic value for you to keep it intact? you decide. Http://www. Meldaproduction. Com/plugins/product. Php?id=mutility this free vst has a dc eliminator included.

I made this sound in september 2003 - i used a fairlight mfx 3 - a direct descendant of the first sampler ever made - and the best ever to this day editing software for ground breaking features and functions. Clip based eq and level which you could cross fade between made the use of automation almost redundant in precise to picture editing. It also had a unique alternative jog function. You could loop 1 frame or so as you chose of sound at the orginal pitch which made it easy to find transient points. I then 'grind' the play head over a solo'd sound and play this into a reverb unit. I have many of these accidental experiments and one day i shall make the fairlight pack!. Until then enjoy this alien - from mars with love :). Ps - you can do this experiment today! i found that i can use sound flower as an out put in audio finder. If you open a sample in the sample editor - you can recreate the fairlight jpg by grabbing the playback head in play. You may then route sound flower thru an input channel and get some unusual effects that are difficult to achieve. . If you can improve on this method let me know!.

Clean recording of various sounds that would occur when maneuvering around an office space (specifically a desk) and manipulating common office objects. Recording features lots of paper rustling and sliding across a wooden desk, handling pens and a stapler, stuffing manila folders and plastic binders, and towards the end there are some sounds of small-medium sized personal bag being unzipped and zipped and then being filled with some of the office materials. Should work great for filling in general office noises in a scene or reinforcing actions that involve any of the materials featured in the recording. There should be enough variety to allow you to glean more isolated sounds or just use assortments of layered sounds. Recorded with an akg p170 into a tascam 208i audio interface at 48khz/24-bit. Microphone was positioned roughly 1. 5 - 2 feet away from the source. There is some slight room reverb present, which is intentional, and should match common office workspaces well. An 85hz high-pass filter was applied to remove any unintentional, unnatural low-frequency rumbling that may have been picked up during recording.

A heartbeat sound i made, complete with some gurgling, blood-rushing sounds. Just uploaded a version without the gurgling, in case you prefer the way that sounds. To make this, i took a kick-drum sample and a snare-drum sample, and made a loop of kick-snare, kick-snare, kick-snare, over and over. After that, i eq'd out the more drum-like parts of each sample, added reverb to dull it, a chorus plugin and some compression to remove some of the drums' attack. . . Basically processed the hell out of them. To get the blood gurgling sound, i filled a water-bottle almost all the way full and turned it sideways, so i had a massive air-bubble floating around. I then tilted the bottle back and forth in front of my blue yeti usb condenser mic, so you could hear the air-bubble swishing. I had to be pretty gentle, because if you rock the horizontal bottle too much, the bubble moves too fast and makes a fake-sounding "gloomp. ". When i was happy with it, i mixed the heartbeat sound and the gurgling sounds so they'd work well together. Both the sounds were in mono, so i used a free plugin called wok ms-t on both of them to create a fake hard-panned stereo effect. I wanted it to sound like you'd been running, and were hearing the heartbeat in your ears. I think it turned out pretty cool. .

Please rate if you like this sound :). This is my voice. I was trying to recreate a similar sound to those of the shrieking nazgul creatures in lord of the rings. They are referred to as different things but overall a creepy, evil, raspy, breathy type screeching sound. I created this with a type of practiced scream on a blue yeti usb condenser microphone. I recorded in audacity and added some reverb, fade in, and fade out. It was originally for a video game voice over audition. I also have the original with no fx if needed. My example/inspiration were the creatures in lord of the rings, fellowship of the ring. They are also called the fell riders and the black wings (when they ride the fell beasts), as well as the shadows, the servants of sauron, and the nine servants of the lord of the rings. The orcs of the tower of cirith ungol call them shriekers. I download from this site often, so i thought i would return the favor :). Feel free to contact me with any other requests!. **please rate if you like this sound. I appreciate it so much!!**. This is an effect i created with my voice to create a demon growl in audacity using my audio technica microphone. I wanted to create a sound that could be creepy but not too scary for kids or children's stories originally. Then i added the paulstretch effect in audacity to create a more ominous, creepy, scary, evil, sound for a more horror like ambience. I am uploading the original as well without paulstretch and maybe another version with echo and/or reverb. I download from this site often and want to give back by uploading my own sounds! please contact for any requests. You may use this sound for free but please credit me using either tiffany marz or voices of marz. Thank you!! enjoy :). I'm attempting to create a controllable thunderstorm for a film, and this is my first legitimate attempt. This recording consists of 4 samples of rain, and another 3 samples of rain+thunder that i recorded one afternoon. Equipment used was the inbuilt mics on a roland r-26, and a sennheiser me66 into a sound devices 702. The clips were recorded at 96khz/24-bit, and they were processed at 48khz/24-bit. For processing, i put the samples into kyma, and crossfaded for texture. The howling wind sound is an analog-style low pass filter's frequency, level, and resonance being controlled by a wacom intuos4 pen/tablet. The rain slowly swells, which was done by changing parameters of a granular reverb. The thunder was also controlled by the wacom tablet, with x, y, and z (pressure) dimensions mapped to making the thunder swell in level, density, and texture. This could have been output in surround, but i don't have that many monitors ;). This style of "rain-synthesis" can also go on indefinitely. Please let me know what you think of the quality of this track; eg, if it sounds real, if the wind sounds ridiculous, too much thunder, etc. Use this sound (wherever) if you want to, or let me know if you'd like an mp3 of this, or for it to last longer. I'd like some credit if you do use it, but it's no big deal. A blog is up explaining the method of creation here:http://www. Kylehughesaudio. Com/2/post/2013/02/tempest. Html.

It's a 15-minute long drum improvisation. It contails a lot of different beats and rhythms played so you might cut-out some loops for your needs. The kit has:- single kick- snare- hihat- 3 toms- broken crash that sounds really short- ride. The kit was old and not in perfect condition. I also used my sticks to play on some other part of the drumkit, like metal stand for the crash etc. I also got up and stated running around in a circle hitting sticks together and afterwards hitting drums and cymbals while running around the drumkit. I took my shoes off before i started so you can't hear my footsteps. I didn't use a metronome and i know i don't hold the tempo and it's a bit wiggly sometimes. I think this performace was inspired by band mr. Bungle. I recorded this with zoom h2 handy recorder's front stereo xy mics. It was standing on a table about one meter above the floor. Facing the drumkit and me. It was captured into a 48khz/24-bit wav file, then i trimmed the ends and converted this to flac using audacity. No processing applied, though i think it sounds nicer when you put these effects:. 1. A compressor:-attack: 10ms-release: 50ms-ratio: 2. 5:1-treshold: around -24db2. A reverb:-decay: 1. 5 to 2 seconds-dry: 0db-wet: around -15 db. It amazes me how much energy compression actually adds to drums!. I made this with my podcast (http://unfamusic. Com/fnr/) in mind. I want to overdub guitars, vocals and make it one big schizophrenic song. If you're interested to hear it, leave me a comment so i can find you, or just subscribe to my podcast's rss (http://feeds. Feedburner. Com/unfa-fnr/).

Ok, i don't know how many of you might be interested in this, but i figure there's no harm in posting it. I'm working on some original songs. Laptop-based, electronic songs, with many orchestral parts, including violin, viola, cello, and string bass. Presonus studio one has some very nice vst string instruments, and i have some really great ones for kontakt. But they all are missing one thing, and i couldn't find the (admittedly esoteric) sound that i'm looking for anywhere on the internet. Being a viola player myself, i recorded myself playing these very particular incidental sounds. Let me explain-. There's this 'grabby' sound that a well-rosined bow makes just is it is first being drawn across the string. Listen carefully to any of the pros and you'll hear it. In your laptop sequences, if used subtly, right at the point where the first note of a phrase is initiated, this sound can give the string part a marked sense of realism*. This, combined with vibrato, reverb and a nice warm/tube/tape saturation setting, nobody will be able to tell the difference between your vst and the real thing. About the audio-i tried to keep them as pitchless as possible, thus not limiting their utility. I recorded two sets of all four open strings (c, g, d, a), first close mic'ed, and once from a few feet away, in stereo. Or to say it another way, the sounds are as follows-1. Open c close2. Open g close3. Open d close4. Open a close5. Open c far6. Open g far7. Open d far8. Open a far. It's totally overkill for me to record all the different versions, but i suppose somebody out there might find one more appropriate than another for their purposes. They work pretty effortlessly for violin and viola, but you might have to pitch them down for cello and string bass. I added no processing whatsoever, apart from normalizing each individual sound. Aiff, recorded at 44/16. Nady scm-2090 stereo condenser mic, focusrite saffire pro 24 interface, recorded in logic. Not the quietest room, but these sounds will be so far down in the mix that it won't matter. Free for all to download, no attribution necessary. Http://www. Freesound. Org/people/bruce%20burbank/sounds/220917/. As an example, here's the part i'm working on that motivated me to record these sounds, with the grabby sound in place. See if you can spot the three times i used it. *pro tip- much the same way i'll insert an inhale breath right before horn or oboe phrases.

guardians of limbo (spectral voices, ethereal sounds, odd vocals) sample of fx preset from magnus choir vsti software. Virtual choir (musical instrument). Software description:. Magnus choir is a vst, vst3 and audio unit virtual instrument which can be used to create natural and synthetic choirs. The male and female choruses combine to form a mixed choir, featuring the classic satb (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) structure: women sing soprano and alto, while men sing tenor and bass. Versatile to generate a wide spectrum of choirs, vocal textures, choral pads and voices with modulation capabilities for a new level of realism in digital sound creation. • 54 preset sounds ready to use, including a vast array of natural and synthetic sounds, from oohs, aahs, men and women in mixed choirs to the celestial choir of angels, reso pads, dark atmos, creepy voices, ambient ghostly and birdsong effects, as well as cinematic and soundscapes. 01. - abbey ghost02. - ad infinitum formant03. - ad libitum chorale04. - aeternus lux lucis05. - alchemical signals06. - angelic vox07. - angels between us08. - apocalyptic chamber09. - astral singers10. - aurum vox pad11. - birds sonic sweep12. - caelestis kingdom13. - celestial choir14. - choral ensemble15. - choralis pad16. - cinematic padilius17. - cosmic odyssey voice18. - cryogenic dimension19. - dark cantus20. - digital voice21. - dystopian chorus22. - elves land23. - enchanted goblins24. - ethereal voices25. - guardians of limbo26. - lost souls in the dark27. - male & female aahs28. - morph dreams29. - morphed vowels30. - mystical vowels31. - nebula dark atmos32. - necromancer summons33. - neo choir34. - octave aahs choir35. - octave vox pad36. - oniric sequences37. - oohs choir38. - psychedelic vox39. - psychomanteum reso40. - quasi spatial voices41. - relaxing paradise42. - restless spirits43. - sanctus holy chant44. - sonorous skies45. - sopranvox c4-c646. - spatiotemporal atmos47. - spectral hell48. - synthetic chorus49. - synthesized vocals50. - underworld embryos51. - vinyl chorus52. - voices in the mist53. - vowelled soundscape54. - vox vocis texture. • low frequency oscillator section: these knobs apply modulation to the selected instrument. By using the lfo to modulate various aspects of the audio signal, you can apply effects such as vibrato or tremolo. • adsr envelope generator with attack, sustain, decay and release parameters. • pitch bend: the pitch bend knob directly changes the pitch of the selected instrument. • reverb built-in: provides a spaciousness and depth to simulate the sound reflections from walls, floors and ceilings following a sound created in an acoustically reflective environment. Small rooms can be modeled as well as large spaces. • filter section: with filter type box for low pass filter and high pass filter. • amplitude range parameters: it controls the loudness, the way in which we perceive amplitude. The sensitivity level is set by the user. • panning potentiometer control. • midi cc automation: implementation of midi continuous controller parameters for use with external hardware control via daw.

What i hear in this sound is a crashing starship as you regain consciousness surrounded by chaos of the crew and emergency systems. At 00:52 there's a really cool explosion hit that fits the starship in danger vibe. Created from roughly 230 sounds in reaper by looping, batch actions and modulated filtering. All sounds came from a folder of freesound cc0 sounds i've been collecting. Here is the file list if you are curious:. 103117__geronimo83__elephant. Created by divkid for use in the make noise soundhack morphagene. There are dry-only, fx-only, and mix versions of this reel in the pack. See it in action at https://youtu. Be/rk4ufmfcouc. Patch walkthrough. The patch starts with the qu-bit chance providing discrete random values (sample and hold) going into an instruo harmonaig. This takes the stepped random voltages and quantizing them to a given scale. I put in the notes c d eb f g ab bb which is a c natural minor scale, the relative minor of eb major (for anyone that's curious). However like most of my modular work i didn't actually tune the oscillators to anything specific. So treat the scale as a pattern of intervals not a set of specific notes. The quantized notes then form 4 voice chords giving us a root, third, fifth and seventh cv output that will be diatonic following the scale pattern, meaning the third will be major or minor, the seventh major, minor or dominant and the fifth natural or diminshed to suit the scale. With the 4 quantized outputs on the harmonaig these all go into the four oscillators on the synthesis technology e370 quad morphing vco. Each of the e370 oscillators are in the basic morph xy mode using the built in rom b set of wavetables. Wavetables are modulating by various mixes of the befaco rampage, mutable instruments tides, wmd multimode envelopes and music thing modular turing machine. The modulation sources are mixed and split with multiples and mixers. These modulating wavetables then go into a bubblesound vca4p where i'm using 4 mk1 intellijel dixie oscillators all un-synced and free running with sine wave lfos. Each lfo freely fades the voice in and out of the vca4p. As this is unsynced there's no regard to pitch changes linked to changes in amplitude and the swells. I find splitting the gate/rhythm from pitch regarding sequencing to be a freeing and interesting way to work that's not available on traditional instruments. This is just a simple application of that idea with the lfos fading freely unrelated to the other modulation or sequencing of pitch. The sound then goes from the vca4p mix out into a befaco mixer and praxis snake charmer which the output section of the larger case and i'm sending a 'pre' auxiliary out into my fx case. The dry sound first goes into the erica synths fusion delay / flanger vintage ensemble which is giving me short modulated delays giving vibrato like sounds and pushing the input level and overdrive gives us some warmth and grit that thickens up the sound and also fills in the gaps left by the free running lfos pulling quieter sounds and compressing in the on board tube. This then outputs to the feedback 1 bit multitap delay module which has it's delay chip pushed to longer times for some added crackle and noise. I'm using the two delay taps for a shorter and longer delay with little feedback to mix the dry sound for a generally noisier and smeared version of the input. This then goes into the xaoc devices kamieniec with it's on board lfo as slow as possibly for a mildly resonant phase shifting. This goes into mutable instruments clouds set to sew random grains slowly and randomly which are pitch shifted up 2 octaves to fill out some high end flourishes against the closed chord voicings at the core of the patch. Finally this goes into a long lush reverb from the halls of valhalla card in the tiptop audio z-dsp. The stereo fx chain and the mono dry signal are mixed in the befaco hexmix and recorded as a mixed stereo file. I'd consider this to be the main 'reel'. However i split the dry signal and the fx only wet stereo signal and recorded those at the same time so you can choose which reel to use and experiment with dry/wet or blended sounds from this patch.
