I used audacity to record this sound with no editing. I used turtle beaches x12 to record. The sound was from an old antique wind-up toy mechanism (music box) that was made in japan. I covered the metal with my finger to change tone of the song. The song played on the music box was called "close to you". I made this using an alto recorder and then adding reverb to it. I have made it longer or shorter by just adding or taking away pieces in the middle. It was made to convey a sense of foreboding. I hope you like it. I am grateful for all the sounds i have found and used in freesound - feels good to finally be able to give back and contribute!.

Me doing a creepy sound i can imagine being used in the background to create a creepy/scary atmosphere in a game/video/audiobook. Recorded indoors on the 05. 04. 2015 using a blue yeti microphone and audacity recording software.

This is a very quick and dirty lo-fi recording of a very unsettling noise i am currently hearing outside of my 2nd story bedroom window. I have no clue what it could be. I have lived here for over a decade and never heard this sound. It's like wind, but it keeps fading in and disappearing again. When it starts, it sounding like very rapid, almost whistling, shallow breathing. I can't imagine what is making this sound, but it's pretty unnerving, and i'm too creeped out to open the curtains. I'm hoping someone can recognize this and tell me what this is because i'm starting to get very uncomfortable after about 10 minutes of hearing this on and off again. I am attempting to record it as it happens, so i've got several recorded instances of this if you want to hear more of it.

I imported a non-sound file in audacity and this was the last few seconds.

For zombie movies and scary movies :d i did that on my guitar i was going to use it for a zombie movie but we never did it but enjoy its yours.
