Samples takes from chimes made by cutting a galvanized steel pipe into specific lengths, each hung by a nylon string. Chimes were played by striking with a large steel nail.

I needed the sound effect for a car arriving. These were recorded in my driveway. 2011 honda element, waliking to car, starting it, backing down driveway, driving back up driveway, stopping car and walking away. Recorded using the internal mics of a zoom h2n. Recorded was on a tripod about three feet from car. These sounds were originally used in a performance of vanya, and masha, and sonia and spike.

A second recording from the same downpipe with a different distance and anglerecorded with a lg g2 minihas been converted into the wav format.

The effects and plugins that i use for these sounds called "image sonification" are: eq, paulstretch, reverb among others.

Raw unedited recording of harsh metallic tinking sounds caused by a hot metal plate being hit by water droplets. The plate was hot enough to induce a leidenfrost effect preventing most of the water from boiling and sizzling away leaving mostly the impact sounds.
