A snare from a cheap kids drumkit, recorded with a mobile phone. I've used it to add noise to a cleaner snare sample and it was very effective.

This is the sound of my alarm clock beeping. In my opinion, it's one of the worst alarm clock sounds in the world, with a horrible, grating alarm sound. Sorry about the part where i yell at my crew, and the dialogue about the shower curtain. Also when i say "yeah, bitches. " it had been a long day on set.

A series of nondescript samples recorded in a fashion inspired by error. They are made so that even if they are arranged in a rhymthmicaly correct order, they still sound horrible. The samples come from unearthed past tracks.

A horrible sound for a contest, created by paulstretching the sound of an old photo-slide scanner six times, then slowly layering it on top of itself up by a semitone every second and adding reverb. Please comment on where you intend to use the sound, and feel free to post a link to the work where you used it if you want (i enjoy watching/listening to anything you create!). The sound was recorded using a "h1 zoom v2 recorder". Originally edited using audacity and paulstretch on 25th september 2016. Note: audio quality is always better when downloaded.

Ascending to the second floor in my grandmother's barn. Assortment of thumps and squeaks, including a horribly loud, squeaky pulley and a pedal-operated flywheel thing, and some good footsteps going up and down a wooden staircase. Recorded on a sony pcm-d50.

This is a version of the sound that (if you're over 25) you can hear. It's called mosquito. They've been using it as a silent deterrent in the uk to clear streets of teenagers. . . Hmmmm. Makes you wonder. Not a great sound sample, but horrible to listen to and a reminder to us all of the power of sound. And the invisibility of it. Kj.

A sound composed from bunching wet paper towels smacked against the floor and a wet bottle of liquid being sloshed mixed together to create an impact sound. Creates a horrible sensation of flesh impacted by a powerful shockwave. A bottle with liquid being sloshed around gently can provide the needed element of a subdued liquid sound - taking away the need to filter it with low pass filters (but it can help boost other frequencies).

I was trying to make a techno song for my friend that went horribly wrong!!! i converted her voice into midi, then opened the midi into sony acid and used refx nexus to try and make a techno song, but something went wrong in sony acid during rendering and it took 30 minutes to render, and this scary suspense ambiance was what came out of the failed rendering of the song. . . This is perfect for those scary movies you need to make. . . I hope you find a use out of my failed song attempt!!!.

I captured this sound on my canon powershot a460 digital camera. It was a horrible night, with strong winds and heavy rain. I went to my garden shed and positioned my camera at the small window inside my shed as there is a small hole in the right hand corner of the window, and through this small hole the wind blows through it making this whistle sound, almost like a flute. This sound of mine is for anyone to use, no credit needed, but it would be nice if you could tell me what your going to use it for, if possible, that would be fun. :) http://creativecommons. These are not squeaks of pain! no rats were harmed! if you own rats, you know that they are very greedy when it comes to food, and will actually yell at you if you try to take it. Here are my two rats, rem and ezio, eating some bread, and me chasing them around with my hand to get them to squeak. They were not happy with me. So these squeaks basically mean, "no! my food! get away!" it's kinda cute. Sorry it's horrible quality, little rat voices are very soft. The squeaks that sound like painful squeaks are rem, and the more whiny ones are ezio. It's funny how they have distinct voices just like humans. Eeeeeeeeyup. Annoyed rats.

Sounds of a 15-year-old dog with laryngal paralysis chewing on a rawhide bone in her crate. (very sad to me as lela is a beloved family member and near the end of her life, but maybe someone can put all this suffering and racket to good use. ) at about the 01:17 mm:ss mark, things get louder because i leaned the recorder up against her crate, near her face. Prior to that the mic was about 5' away, on my kitchen table. I apologize for any unexpected clangs. I didn't edit this file, just uploaded it. Good luck. I'd say "enjoy" but these sounds are pretty gross. :).

This is a quick little bass heavy remix i tossed together using cc0 sources from right here on freesound. I have never tried mixing anything remotely musical before, so this is a first. Not the best, but maybe someone out there may still enjoy it. I imagine this would maybe be usable as an intro for something, but perhaps it just belong in the bin.
