I recorded my voice while playing freelance horror games; scp-087-b and slender sanatorium. This was so i could get genuine reactions to use as stock voice clips for future use. Some pretty interesting stuff came out. This is when the first "thing" that happens when you start, like hearing the first creepy sound or grabbing your first note.

Cymbals were pitch-shifted, compressed, equalized, and subjected to other effects in order to make them capable of filling the roles usually occupied by actual drums. This is the second part of an audio filtering project (in general, signal processing). This sample shows a noisy recording of my voice, after transforming the signal using the xft (extended fourier transform), applying a filter to cut some frequencies and later applying the inverse xft. All this done with an algorithm in matlab or mathematica written by me. Check the recording before the filtering process by hearing the file "holaoriginal. Wav" and please comment.

Striking a wooden barrel with a thick wooden drum stick i have for large percussion. Minimal eq to remove useless frequencies below 80 hz, no boosting more than 2db, so very non destructive. No compression added. No permissions needed but i'd love to hear what you used it in!.

This is another one of those sounds i frustratingly could not find here so i decided to perform and record myself. Hammer hitting a nail: in this sound you hear a metal hammer hitting a metal nail into a slab of wood, creating a harsh sounding sound. Recorded using the zoomh4n and using the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. A high shelf and a band was added to the sound to make the hammer hitting the nail more clear. The hammer used was 2kg hammer and the nail was 5 cm long nail and the wood was a piece of eucalyptus tree wood.

It was made with extraordinary plugins erhu guzheng yangquin and a sense of extraordinary expression, valley reverb, and glides. Authentic expression of chinese traditional instruments is hard to imitate so this scene is very short, but useful. This is an a gathering of college students having a backyard get together with a bean bag toss (cornhole) as the primary entertainment. Male and female voices, profanity, and the sound of bean bags landing on the boards. Urban city setting, so occasional motorcycles and trucks can be heard passing, birds and squirrels chirping, dogs barking, kids wailing, and occasionally you can hear a radio playing.

This is a little recording on my tascam dr-44wl in kjfk airport new york, waiting to fly home with my wife. There was a bird flying around the in the building at our gate, which two young kids were loving. You can hear them say they see the poop, which i did see too lol. Recorded at 320kbps mp3.

Recordings of a fairground in a small town in germany, starting the day's business. Wide angle shot of the fairground, somewhat later. All the rides are working, some early customers are milling around, you can hear german "schlager"-music playing and a spooky voice beckoning people to the haunted house ride. Recorded with a zoom h2, mics set at 90° dispersion.

It's painful but it had to be done. . . Here's the field record of a demolition plant in the paris suburb of pantin. An old factory is beeing reduced to dust, prior to some housing developements. On this recording, you can hear one excavator actually tearing down the building while another one is sorting junk in the backyard. Recorded with a zomm h2n in x/y stereo mode.

5 min recording. Question. Do you hear any form of repetitiv pattern?the "engine" for this. . . Is a feedback patch. Chaotic? maybe. The colors the soundfile get here on freesound reveals patterns. I use this feedback patch to derive timing and pitch. I restrain the pitch. It's bad enough as it is. The feedback patch is made with 2 lfos, 1 vclfo and a vcad.

Recorded using jez riley french contact microphones, on a windy day on the south coast of england. I connected a pair of contact microphones to different parts of a metal fence and let the wind do the rest. Starts off gently and gradually the intensity increases as the wind picks up. You can hear the fence rattling and a ambient drone of the wind blowing.

I recorded myself walking around the outer waiting area at my office. There are some very nice floorboard squeaks in here. Unfortunately, the environment isn't as quiet as i'd like; you can discern some traffic noise coming from outside the office building. I know a gentleman who started cutting his kids' hair and just never stopped cutting hair, long past his retirement as a farmer. I've never seen him take a cent for it, and he has friends; so he's never out of practice. You will hear an electric clipper used to taper hair on the back of the neck and to trim sideburns. He does not use a barber's straight-razor, but a small electric razor finishes the job.

I recorded this sound with my nokia lumia 900 cellphone inside a boeing 737. The airplane landed, the pilot is saying good-bye through the loudspeakers. You can also hear the engines of the plane and people unlocking their seatbelts. Additionally, there's a crying baby on the background. The plane landed on schiphol airport.

This is a field recording taken in a suburban location in the city of cincinnati just over ten minutes in length. This sound was recorded with an ipod touch (5th gen). I was in need of some sword sound effects for a project i'm working on, and after i made these, i figured i'd give them away for free here on freesound!. The sound you hear is actually just a couple of large kitchen spatulas clashing together.

Here's a recording made in saint-urbain (charlevoix) pq, canada in the forest a morning of august 2014. You can hear grasshoppers, crickets, wasps and a creek in the background. This recording was made with a sound devices usbpre2 into a tascam dr-680 (spdif) and 2 microphones studio project c1 in ortf stereo pattern. It's in 24 bits 96khz , 40hz low cut.
