Okay, this one has a strange story behind it. I don't remember why i was recording, but it was my voice (probably a narration,) and when i listened to it, this sound showed up at the very end. I was the only one home, and i don't remember a sound outside prior to pressing the stop button, but it was there. Weird, random, and unexpected, but neat all the same!.

Recorded with a little usb-stick mic that i sat on the counter near the sink. The sounds in this pack are of me cleaning a 16" glass bong with hot soapy water. I wasn't planning to record myself, but i ended up making interesting noises and thinking i better record them!.

This is merely the sound of a cd case opening and closing (if anyone is interested, it was the cd for the ending theme of the cross ange anime, sung by eri kitamura, though that doesn't change the sound. . . )this kind of snapping sound can also be used for little things opening and closing. I used this sound for a medicine cabinet sound at one point.

For this sound i used 4 differents kind of tonality :440 hz392 hz349,2 hz329,6 hzand then i used the effect low and high and i put an higher pitched sound to make a sound more like videogames style, just like my other sound named stagecleared. This sound have a sad purpose like when lose at a game.

I was busy recording something else, and sneezed twice. The recording came out particularly crisp, so i cleaned it up the rest of the way, and decided to post it here. Recorded with a zoom h1 n. It's a high tide and the waves are slowly lapping at the kelp strewn sandy beach. Recorded at rathtrevor beach, vancouver island, on the salish sea. There was a dog barking in the far distance, edited out. I also edited the ending with a fade out.

Erh's nugroove1 with some edited samples of erdie's explosion sample, it ends with a reverse explosion. I took the sweeps out of erh's loop and put them on 2 different tracks, and there is an obvious change in tempo. Some simple delay, uncompressed, a simple eq setting. . . That's all.

A classic deep woods, summer soundscate. The insects' droning seems to slow everything down as the high tempuratures bake the land. Every now and then you'll hear some bird calls in this recording. Towards the end, the insects temporarily stop and a goldfinch answers with his/her own call.

This is the sound of a bamboo being shaken lightly, originally i had meant to make the sound of a light wind but the sounds turned out too harsh. So i ended up being able to salvage the sound of a bush being shaken or moved through. For all those forest troopers, here you go.

Cricket ball bouncing on a bat: sounds like a constant knocking on a door but has a slight ting at the end of each bounce. Recorded using the zoomh4n and using the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. No processing has been done to this sound. The bat used in the sound is a kookaburra kahuna 150 english willow and the ball was a bellingham & smith 135g match cricket ball.

Lighting a safety match. No other effect apart from using the zoom h6's xy mic at 90 degrees and a bit of trimming and the tinest amount of volume automation to rise the end part to an audible gain. Possible applications could be used for a character who smokes cigarettes, foley for a ignition sound effect or literally lighting a safety match.

I have generated a sound ( sinusoidal, 300hz) and i have altered it with the level tool. Then, i have added a pluck ( pitch 114) and reversed it. I have created a “white noise” which i have stuck after the pluck. Finally, i have generated a sound ( sinusoidal, 1000hz). I have put it at the end and altered it with the level tool. Recorded during a wet winter storm on january 12, 2014 in nova scotia. Wind gusts were reported to be 100 km per hour with heavy rain. Recorded using a zoom h4n using onboard mics standing under an awning for cover. Curious how this ends up being used.

A short song i made up for a game i am making. Generally meant to sound medieval. I did not record this as exported from an app. I didn’t end up using it, instead i used teller of the tales by kevin macleod. Play my game on scratch. Mit. A heartbeat sound i created. Fairly consistent through most of it, and then speeds up into heart-attack mode about 30 seconds from the end. To make it, i took a kick-drum sample and a snare-drum sample, and made a pattern of kick-snare, kick-snare, kick-snare, over and over. I then eq'd them to be less distinct and drum-like, added tape saturation to increase the low-end thumping, a small chorus effect and some compression to get rid of the drums' attack. . . Basically just over-processed the hell out of it. Then i used a plugin called wok m-st to get a fake hard-panned stereo effect. My goal was to make it sound like your heartbeat sounds in your ears when you've been running too fast for too long. I think it sounds cool.

This is a bass kick i made with a nice crunchy toned delay. It started life as a mono bass kick off my 808 drum machine, i converted it to stereo then inverted the right channel, i distorted it and processed it with 100% envelope to really boost the front end punch. It's c2 pitch for convenience.
