This is a project i worked on for my electronic music composition class. It was made using audacity. It is comprised of 27 different sound tracks. 2 of these tracks use sounds created/recorded by users "shoba" and "branrainey" of freesound. Org (shoba's 'sending machine. Wav' and branrainey's 'cansound. Wav'. The other sounds are of my own creation or recording.

I came across this singing bird in a tree the middle of the night in a residential neighborhood. This is one funky bird! he's got so many different sounds hes making. The recording isn't as clean as reinsamba's legendary "nightingale", as there is a bit of traffic whine in the backround that comes in at times.

This is just a noise taken off my home phone, it is the standard noise that plays after punching in a number. I used a direct feed for this one, although there really was not much different. This is the only sound from a direct feed that wouldn't come in so terribly soft.

It's a recording of someone using a hammer on a different level of the house. You can hear the doors of a room being closed and opened from outside and some other noises. There is a background noise of a refridgerator working in the second room. Recorded with a zoom h2.

Drawing curtains: in the sound you hear curtains being drawn from one side to the other giving a harsh "shhhhhh" sound. There are different variations in the speed in which the curtains are drawn as well. Recorded using the zoomh4n and using the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. A low shelf was added to this sound to cancel some handling issues.

Construction work outside my house at night. You can hear some drilling and hammering and different construction tools as well as some men talking and cars passing by. Recorded with my iphone 11 mic.

I was filling a giant plastic bucket in the kitchen full of water using the hose attachment. I tried let the water hit the bucket in different ways to change the acoustics of the sound over time. If you can use this, go nuts - i'd love to hear anything you can do with it.

Erh's nugroove1 with some edited samples of erdie's explosion sample, it ends with a reverse explosion. I took the sweeps out of erh's loop and put them on 2 different tracks, and there is an obvious change in tempo. Some simple delay, uncompressed, a simple eq setting. . . That's all.

Basically it is a recording of a river that runs near my house. You can listen to the current of the river and different birds that are usually heard in the river bed in spain. It is made on a sunny spring day with very little car circulation by the corona virus. Recorded with a zoom h1 in stereo.

Paging through a book: here the quick flip of a page can be heard. The air being shoved around can be heard the sharp lifting of a page as well. It consist out of different tempo's to suit the users preferences. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg in a sound studio.

Pouring pellets into a bowl: here cat food is being poured into a metal bowl. You can hear the crackling of the bag, the metallic clatter of pellets hitting the bowl. Different temp’s can be found due to the speed in which the pellets were being poured. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg.

In 's-hertogenbosch in holland we have carnival every year. This is a recording in the centre of the city. A recording of several 'dweilorkesten' that is a band that plays musing in the street. 'literal' translation is 'mop band or mopping band'. The go trough the streets like someone mopping the floor. This recording at the market-place is made with hundreds of people around. The ambience here is totally different from other places in the town and the world. It complete different than the south american carnival. Recorded: march 7th 2011, markt, 's-hertogenbosch, holland. A synth line i made for the 127 search ;) i made this one on reason. Used three thor modules, effected each one differently. Gave two a delay of different time panned opposite, and the other a reverb. This is in the key of g. 楽しみます.

A collection of 8 plasma rifle-style single shots, inspired by the plasma rifles you hear in the terminator movies. Each shot is slightly different so there is some variety. I created them by layering single gun shots with other sounds and then running them through a granular synthesizer with some effects.

While doing sit-ups in my bedroom - i've discovered that the friction of my back with the floor makes hilarious "fart-like" sounds, in all kinds of variations. I grabbed my zoom h4n recorder - and recorded some. Good fart sounds are sometimes not so easy to find :). (this is file 1 of 2. Each was recorded in a different rec. Level. . . ).

This recording was taken in the highland park, a chicago suburb. In this recording, the person recording took notice that there were many different pitches in the sound of the air in the open space. Listeners will also hear a rushing car and birds chirping. Furthermore, listeners will hear similar drops of water hitting a puddle off a gutter.

A seven note scale (c c# d# f f# g# a#) over separate octaves. Some notes repeat in the same octave, but are slightly different samples. Each note starts on the grid of 100bpm. For the technical it is a tesla coil that uses a static spark gap, while high-voltage-discharge-2 clip uses a rotary gap giving a different sound altogether. Metal whistle in different durations for your project. Blown with high power and a tongued attack. I could not find the sound i wanted that i had in mind, and was tired of all the wimpy whistle sounds so i made my own with the whistle i keep on my car keys. Just a super raw recording of the rhythmic patterns of my windscreen wipers. All made with a mobile phone from inside the car. Some parts are loopable. The "positioning" of the phone was changed every now and then, so there are different angles and "nuances". Kinda. My phone records in mp3, didn't even know.

I made this using audacity to reform and change the frequencies for a few sounds i recorded at my desk which were made with a lighter, imitating the sound of a water drop with my voice, a rotating object hitting different things (cans, lighter, wooden desk, etc. , my creaky chair, me imitating a fly with my voice and finally, tapping on an empty can.
