Compiled a number of different clips with background field sounds all recorded on a nikon d3200 dslr using windows moviemaker and then converting the sound track into wav format. Consist of walking to shed door in wellies(very poor sounds), opening shed door, rustle of taking apples out of plastic bag followed by chopping noises, closing of shed door then sniffing and chomping of apples by three horses.

This is an alert signal from a real fire station. I tried to make a sound how they wanted it, and what i believe what was needed. Few things like 1) start softly to ease it when waking up in the night 2) some pauses for better recognition of speech or other signals heard same time 3) good cut trough background noise or whatever, stressless but good cut trough 3) limited length before announcement.

It was fun to watch their reaction to the recorder but they eventually figured out it was harmless. A mixer truck, freshly loaded is mixing (extremely dry) concrete in the drum as it spins on the frame of the truck! i held the mic to the exterior of the steel drum as it spun. So there are underlying cat engine noises in the background. The concrete is so dry, its load enough to over power the majority of engine sounds.

A processed audio of tropical cicadas during the evening (6 pm). A few background noises slipped and were unable to be removed during audio processing stage (around 2. 3 khz and bellow were removed). These tropical cicadas are active during the evening. These cicadas are able to produce calls above 2. 5 khz. This audio was recorded around 25-50m from the source.
