A light thunderstorm in carrboro, nc. Not too much wind or heavy rain, but some very good thunder claps. As the thunder slowly fades away, some distant traffic and a siren can be heard. Recorded on a zoom h2. This was uploaded as vorbis instead of flac or wav because it's quite long but i thought people might find it useful to have the whole thing. Some intelligent de-clipping was also performed in audacity to remove some slight distortion from the loudest claps.

Recorded just after the clock struck midnight, signaling the beginning of 2023 in greenville, south carolina with a tascam dr-05 stereo recorder. Very nice clear recording with basically zero unwanted noises except for an occasional light water drip. Audio edited to perfection by me. ;) did some light eq, compression, limiting, and stereo balancing, as well as removing some of the constant ambient white noise hiss. A recording of the creek mühlgraben in the bavarian forest on a trail from the village rettenbach to the peak schopf. Occasional birdsong can be heard, as well as the rustling or falling of leaves in the wind. The recording was taken at an idyllic spot where the small creek flows over pebbles and around rocks. The recording was made on 18th october 2022 at 11:52 am with my huawei p10 lite, no additional processing was applied.

This is a sequence of bass notes created using vst instrument alchemy on preset dancetrance/ leads/ higher states. Run through ohm boys lfo delay and sequenced at 102bpm at a#3. Works well with my 'break away 102' breaks. The best way to loop this is to take the last two breaks of the sequence and loop those as the effects roll nicely into each other. I've left the ending part in if you want to let it fade out smoothly into your sequence as the bassline ends.

A stereo field recording of hundreds of several species of frogs at spring in raleigh, nc. Recorded at a very large concrete stormwater retention pond. The tall concrete walls made a nice effect acoustically. There are a few other faint sounds such as my dog walking around, a bit of wind and a car door as the pond was next to a parking garage. But, the frogs definitely dominate. I recorded this with an olympus ls-11.

Basically a spaceship hyperdrive/warp drive engine or whatever. Includes spin-up, engine drone, and spin-down. Feel free to loop/extend the engine drone portion for as long as needed (it's completely loopable). This is a first in a series of loops made with the x-base09 drum-kit i have posted long time ago, i thought this would be a nice addition. Loops will be mainly processed in live9. Information will be available depending on the loop. This loop is a dry unprocessed loop, all i did was reduce the release on one of the kicks, as it has a long delay, and i didn't want that in the background of this loop, some midi velocity on the hi-hats, and i added a groove (chachacha) with only 10% quantization. This first loop was mainly to show the original sound of the individual hits as they where recorded, playing as a loop to give you a better picture of the sounds and therefore i added it to the x-base kit instead of x-base loop pack.

This is my first upload: a short walk between the stalls of the vismarkt in groningen, netherlands. Is was a splendid and sunny saturday morning, about 9. 30 am, may 7th 2016. In the first part of the recording, a garbage truck is already cleaning up. Fish crates are being piled up and money is exchanging hands. As the name of the market square suggests, the stalls are filled with fresh north sea and wadden sea fish. But i also passed stalls where cheese, meat and spices were sold. Business was thriving at the time of the recording. The groningen vismarkt is broadly recognized as one of the finest food markets in the country. I used an iphone with a zoom iq5. As said, this is my first recording, so please bear with me. . . I intend to learn.

A complete trip on métro (subway) line 9 of the paris subway system, from the alma-marceau station to the havre-caumartin station. Starts with descent into the métro station and ends climbing up the steps back out at the destination. One train is allowed to pass, at about the 1-minute mark, as we wait on the platform, and an announcement giving the times for the next trains can be heard. The ride on the following train begins at around the 2-minute mark. There are two loud sounds between about 9:10 and 9:20 and some loud low-frequency wind noise at around 10:40 (as we leave the métro station and return outside), so beware. Recording with zoom h4n, originally 96 khz/24 bits, uploaded as mp3 320 kbps because the wav was so big (almost 500 mb).

A rather lengthy sound byte that i heavily edited to the point of being unrecognizable. It sustains a flat note with varying bass levels causing an unnerving effect or the listener or player. I had designed this track for a roleplay plot involving a cursed train station, the plot came out kinda rough and it fell through midway. . . But, the audio track i made came out good enough to post here like my first sound involving my transformers oc!. We have the movie "chronicles of riddick" starring vin diesel, and at one point thandie newton walks around him, seeking approval. She gets it, as vin growls, "it's been a long time since i smelled beautiful. " his voice is incomparable, as he exudes a touch of evil with that. Nevertheless i laugh every time i hear it, because it suggests he needs a shower. Try as we might though, we can't quite duplicate it. This was the most recent and possibly best effort. We can't publish vin's voice so here you go. Repeated it once with a bit of reverb. We tried this before and it was moderated and posted. Apologies to the moderator, there was a glitch in the file because i can't get him to say "i" instead of "i've" and i had tried to remove the letter "v. ".

I noticed there were no dry ice on oven rack sounds here so here is a recording of dry ice interacting with a steel oven rack. As the dry ice melts it creates vibrations on the metal that evolve as the material travels across the surface. It is an awful sound resembling a combination of saxophone, violin, bagpipe and screaming (any species). This was recorded on halloween 2018. It was a tradition in my family when i was a kid to get some dry ice on halloween and fill beakers with colored water to surround the candy display. The addition of dry ice on oven rack sound effects developed later and truly scared a lot of kids because it is so loud and terrible. These days we make some dry ice kief as well which makes the holiday even more festive and weird.

I played a bit with the filters and oscillators of a free vst synth. This sound is useful for cutting and applying different effects over it. I think that it can be used standalone as well.
