Desperately needed to find a sound for a hand that's moving in the air, but couldn't anywhere here. This is what i made and used, it's not the best but it worked for me. It was made with waving a sketchbook in front of the mic. Recorded on my mac's mic.

Happy accident: recorded a finger snap on a asus t100's internal laptop as a test sound, applied (heavy leveller, normalization)*10 and this came out. Sounds like a fine punch/damage sound on speakers, maybe for a 8-bit game.

Whooshing sound, rather like the sound a stick makes when you whip it through the air. I made the sound accidentally by moving my zoom h4 fast through the air and quite liked the results. If you do us it, i'd be curious to know how, in the comments.

The wind and rain is whipping the plastic coverings of a construction site at one house, some things fall down from the scaffold. The rain becomes more and more heavy and loud, the raindrops beat down on the leaves of a chestnut tree and the plastic sheets. I whipped up this wacky reinterpretation of the twilight zone intro while doing a sound design concept. A stark recording of a bunch of northwest winds whipping through a small town. This was recorded in december 17th 2013 during the height of the frenzy of the holiday season. I think that it why i enjoy this recording so much -- the lonely yet comforting desolate wind in contrast to the frenetic sensory overload that the holidays can sometimes be. The wind chimes are a nice touch too. Recorded on my front porch using my zoom h4n recorder and it's internal stereo microphones with the record volume on 80.

I sold my giant couch, and two professional movers came to pick it up. Before they moved it, they whipped out a huge roll of clear plastic, and expertly passed it around and around the sofa until the whole thing was wrapped. The noise the wrapping made was astonishingly loud and echoey in our place, and sounded very. . . Uh. . . Science fiction-y. Recorded on my samsung note 20 phone, and some movers' mumbles included, so not desperately high quality -- but maybe someone can use part of it for a wizard rending the space time continuum with a sharpened wormhole, or some such. :-).
