I placed a beta source (co 60) towards a series 900 mini-monitor (gm tube), starting from about 50cm away. Saturation is reached 5cm away. I used a zealsound microphone and recorded directly into my laptop using audacity. The sound is as recorded.

I recorded my dishwasher with my phone and used made it into a shaker-ish loop by speeding it up and using an expander. Its kinda weird but with the right processing it can give a really nice texture and rhythm to your tracks. Tempo is 125 bpm. Have fun.
