I live next to a car repair place and they have a couple of hot rods that they fire up now and then. This is a '55 chevy and to me the idle sounds like a dragon breathing. Audio from video clips recorded this morning, thurs 29 april 2021, in south yorkshire. Blue tit right at the start of the recording. Some breeze has got picked up by the microphone on the camera. The bluetits are nesting in our garden and i've been filming them coming and going. They often perch and sing before going into the nestbox. Sometimes it's other bluetits visiting the garden rather than just the two who are nesting.

I moved the zoom h1 n onto the window sill in the veranda. It picks up the rain beating on the thin plastic roof sheathing above, and on the glass windows next to the window sill. It is rainy weather - january winter rains on vancouver island. It is a hard driving rain. My recollection is that it was about twelve millimeters in one hour. It was wet, the trees grow fast & tall.

This sort of kickish type sound is one of my experiments with my model d. The ones near the end sound the kickiest and there's a nice filter sweeping as it goes along. Recorded around midnight in mount saint francis woods in southern indiana on the kentucky border on a dr70r with shotgun mic. Not loopable as the wind picks up over time and is noticeable when you loop back to beginning. Light editing in reaper (eq down some wind sounds, splicing out distant traffic). Individual bullfrog chatter sounds also on profile.

I used audacity and text-to-speech to recreate a voice line spoken by the cybermen from the 1967 doctor who episode "the moonbase". The video clip is available in the public domain. Transcript:. This is a knife i use often at my workplace cutting different materials. It’s called an ofla knife- they’re pretty small and can retract and come back out again with a drag of a switch. This is me dragging that switch up and down, slowly for each individual tick and then all at once. I know in this recording the background isn’t completely silent, i’ll try to reupload a recording when it is at some point.

Iphone recording of a group of people sitting in a theatre in downtown boston, ma, prior to a film screening. The room was perfectly tempered and acoustically treated, and people were talking at a relatively normal level without echo or reverberation. It was too good to pass up recording it. At first, there are people talking near by, but towards the end, i am further back and the group chatter effect can be noticed in whole.

Long easy rain. Recorded from my front porch the evening of may 22, 2018. Almost half an hour; slice it up to use your favorite parts. Rain slows down around 3:00. Some distant thunder around 16:20. Look out for a few small ambient noises like splashes or traffic. A perfect audio bed under your sound design of a rainy scene. Or layer it to create a storm.

I recorded people blowing up fireworks in my neighborhood last night with a zoom 6 using the stereo mics. Then i isolated individual sounds and tweaked the eq some in adobe audition, then ran those sounds back-to-back to make these "machine gun" sounds. Let me know what you think? I don't have a modular system to speak of but after watching some of divkids videos i realised my xiao could sound really nice in an ambient eurorack setup. Coming hair: you can hear the typical crunch of tangled hair being combed out. You can hear the hairbrush gliding through the hair. It varies in tempo and rhythm to add realism to this sound. As she struggles with the knots it is slow but picks up tempo as her hair becomes less tangled. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg in a recording studio. Great for any make-over montage or scene.

To create this effect i sped up and changed the pitch of an alarm clock, and followed it by a beep from a tone generator, which created my desired effect. Electro-magnetic interference from the colorino talking color identifier and light probe when held near the internal ferrite antenna on the back right of a 13-year-old boombox near the bottom of the am broadcast band, from 530 to 580 khz. You first hear the device inactive being brought near the radio. This gives a low buzz of stacato clicks. At about 00:23 the light probe button is briefly pushed, you hear a quick boop of the light probe with low light level combined with the beginning of the white noise of the device active. If you put your ear near it after you use it, you will hear a slight hiss from the audio amplifier carrier idling for about a minute after last use. On the am radio this translates to white noise. At 00:26 there is a double click and a distorted voice says black. The voice is being picked up by the am radio. 10 seconds of white noise and i press the color button again and it says black. I put something else over the color sensor and it says a few more things. At 00:51 i hold down the light probe button and try to point it at the light above my desk while still holding it close enough to the radio to pick up the emi signal. You hear a warbling tone at 00:59 as the light reaching the sensor increases and decreases in brightness depending on how it's pointed. The signal fades in and out as the device is moved around. This has all happened at 530 khz. At 01:37 i step the radio up to 580 khz where you get a stronger signal. Wibw from topeka competes with the noise throughout the rest of the file. At 01:51 you hear the distorted error beep as i press the color button without anything but air and light in front of the color sensor. It must be pressed up against the thing you want the color of, or it gets in too much ambient light and errors out with a loud protesting beep.

As these are recorded using binaural in-ear mics, i purposefully don't turn my head to keep the sound clean and coming from the same direction. The amtrak pacific surfliner winds it'd way up and down the pacific coast coast. This train is known for spectacular coastal views. Here you can hear this high-speed train come screaming through burbank's downtown station (traffic can be heard on i-5 in the distance). You will hear a security guard walk behind me just before the train comes through. He was one of our trusty transpo officers making sure i wasn't up to no good with my zoomh4n device. Thanks for keeping us all safe officers!. The train makes a pass from right to left and i kept recording so you would have some room-tone at the tail. Enjoy!. Christopher c. Courter.

Damaged smartphone screen protector being broken and crushed in bare hands (should've used gloves. . . ). Recorded with behringer b-1 microphone into focusrite scarlett 2i2 3rd gen. Into audacity on arch linux at 192 khz/24 bit. The recording was not processed or edited in any way to retain maximum flexibility to sound artists who will use this as an element. This can be useful as a sound effect for freezing or burning or deep-frying or even rain (when slowed down). Thanks to extremely wide frequency range the recording can be cleanly slowed down up to 25% speed. There's clean frequency content up to 80 khz in the recording. In a few places the mic gain was too much and a pop is clipped, but could still be useful for sound of braking or snapping something (bone?). No denoising was applied - perform your own if needed, though the sounds are mostly free of background hum (a bit of pc noise can be heard in the first minute before i turned down the gain).

This started out as a good idea for one of my projects but began to have a life of it's own as i rolled up my sleeves and fussed over every detail. As you will hear, this sound file/track embraces panning like their is no tomorrow. You should be able to fold your sounds into it. Recorded on february 9, 2001 in an old appartment complex lobby on the 2nd floor. We held a fundraiser for a local charity and it included a place for people to get together, play board games and an n64 was set up. The sound features three people including myself playing a multiplayer level of donkey kong, people chatting, the heater running, elevator, faint backgroudn music and the sounds of the nearby hallway.

I created this instrumental while i was messing around on audacity one day and i actually used it to record a song called "erbie bowser" feel free to look it up on youtube. The instrumental includes whistles, claps and a voice loop all performed by myself. The only un-authentic part added was a risset drum. I created a chip track to which i added a reverbation effect. I copied it and then rendered both onto a new track. Reusing the same sound , i lengthened the tempo and increased the pitch on the second one. I then reused it a few times to imitate the sound of the ball bouncing off the table, speeding up the tempo and adding a fade out effect.
