Recorded a guitar being plucked and slowed it down to 0. 1% speed. This creates the nice initial pluck sound. Then copied and resampled the copy and slowed down again by 0. 1% speed, this time preserving the original pitch. This created the ultra-long decay tail. Added eos reverb.

A casio pt-1 rhumba loop, 4 times and already cut loopable. Recorded with a yamaha 12xuk mixer. No fx applied. I made this because i needed it for a project and since i love this rhumba rhythm i like to share it. Around 60bmp.

I was filling a giant plastic bucket in the kitchen full of water using the hose attachment. I tried let the water hit the bucket in different ways to change the acoustics of the sound over time. If you can use this, go nuts - i'd love to hear anything you can do with it.

Ancient bits of sound i had rendered a long time ago for a friend's music project i secretly collaborated on ;). These are old programmed synthesizers with heavy effects, each one slightly different. And they're perfectly loopable if you want!.

Blending a smoothie. Blender goes on and off a couple of times to help churn frozen strawberries. During the blending, there is the sound of a spoon tapping on the pitcher. Recorded in mono mp3 mode on a zoom h2. The recorder then created a 2-track file (and i assume both tracks are identical). Compressed and normalized to -3. 1 db in audacity. Exported in flac mode.

Yet another field recording of a spanish market, this time at alhama de murcia with a market vendor shouting to his potential costumers. Recorded with a sounddevices 442 mixer and 2 sennheiser 416 mic's onto a tascam dr100-mkii.

This sample was created by taping a razor blade to a contact microphone and allowing the blade to scrape against the edge of a record spinning on a turntable. The reverb was added in real time, so there's not a dry signal recording. Very reminiscent of tg's "hamburger lady" in some ways. Sounds like a human voice almost.

Live drum recorded 10 years ago with my sm 58 mic on the snare and another (kick) drum mic on the bass drum, fed into some mixer then into my line 6 tone port that went into my ableton live session at the time. Sorry i dont recall any other details.

Rain light/moderate falls on the balkony made out of stone. High quality recording with rode nt1a (two times, stereo-mixdown). The rain sounds very close to the mic, very clear and with all the high frequencies catched. Hope someone can use it for whatever. . . I used it as an intro in a song :-).

Another example on "listening" to a computer. Many sounds you hear are overtones from fans. The sharp noise is data transfers. Most of the sounds are caused by moving the mouse. The processors are not "heard" by placing a small antenna between the flat cables from two hard discs, you can capture the data packages. That may be done next time.

A hardstyle screech i programmed with my access virus c synth. It's pretty usable, i'm not gonna upload many versions of it with different pitch envelopes. Just cut it, pitch-shift/time-stretch, etc and you might come up with something unique.

Here are some percussive sounds of a thermal mug. I've put hot water in it, shaked it and pressed the valce button to release the pressurized air (that's the first pop). Then opening and closing it again several times. Nice percussive samples to cut out from this. Recorded with zoom h2.

Button pressed on the inside of a lift. The lift sets in motion for a short amount of time. Announcement says "4th floor" and doors open to an empty foyer. Door close automatically, button pressed and lift moves back to 3rd floor. Recorded on a tascam dr-01 in stereo at 16bit 48khz wav.

The cricket is in northeast china very popular in summer fields. This sound is from my feeding pet a green big one in winter and it's named winter cricket by the artificial breeding technology. Late august here in the midwest is the time for the loud choruses of insects. This recording, done in the backyard of a small town, features the classic"ebb and flow and swell" of the dusk insects. Since a park is nearby, you also hear in the background the excited voices of kids playing---maybe these youngsters do realize that soon they will be back in school and that the joyous, careful time of summer play and reflection will soon be over. The beginning of this mid-january 2023 recording features some sounds from several people playing pickleball. Towards the end of this audio, the laughter of the kids really takes center stage. By now covid is getting smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror, mother nature has decided to give us an extra 15 degrees of warmth and the adults, and youngsters are having fun just being outside and smiling and laughing. Some creatures chirping at night, with city ambient noise in the background. I don't know if they are birds, or bats, or what. I stayed at my grandmother's place for a few days, where these creatures are heard every night, but no one ever saw them to be able to identify them. Trying so hard to alleviate the boredom. Synths are cool. I tried to make a sound to emulate the slim phatty poly/multiosc. Moog that i saw earlier, it's nowhere near as big and beautiful but it helped pass some time. Like champagne on a beer budget, it's just what might be.

Suicidal pill was played originally on a grand piano. The melody is looped, becoming more distorted each time.

Sound of a single droplet. The standard sound for like a leaky faucet or a drop hitting a puddle or bucket of water. I actually made this sound with my mouth and tapping my cheek at the same time, but it is a very convincing drop sound, which can easily be looped at the speed you want for that "continuous drop" sound in the background.

Weird e-piano/synth ditty, used a few times in tracks over the years. Has a peculiar moody quality. Anyway i'd probably just process the hell out of it with distortion/granulation/slicing and using it as a droney texture because it's sloppy and weird.

I recorded this effect in orpington, england, on a mixpre3 recorder with a beyerdynamic mce72 stereo mic 24bit 48k wav. I caught this pair of canadian geese flying overhead and landing in a nearby pond during lockdown in orpington. March 17th 2021 at 0630am. The a21 is ever present but a lot less traffic noise at this time of day.

Incredibly clear quality of a dvd case opening and closing, i used audacity to remove some of my camera's noise and the result honestly blew me away. At around 3 seconds in i say "again", to clarify that i was opening and closing it one more time, edit where needed.

I searched for a long time to find a jaws harp sample and eventually found one and successfully extracted a few notes from a very old appalachian folk song field recording, well out of copyright. I sampled a single note, which then fed ok into a midi keyboard, allowing me to effectively play jews harp melodies. The result was pretty ok.
