Hitting with my hand a huge wind tunnel for industrial fan testing. I've used it a couple of times, but can't think of any concrete situation it can be used for. Mono recorded with sennheiser 416, tascam hd-p2. No need to attribution, use it freely.

An old sample. I don't remember if this was made in soundforge or goldwave, but i think it was originally a recording of my voice. . . Some kind of chewbacca-like noise. Heavilly flanged. Oh, and please, forgive the onomatopoeic naming convention, but i like my sounds to look like they sound.

This is a sample of howling wind created in logic pro x using a few of choruses, flangers and fm synthesis. It isn’t the most realistic recreation of wind, but i think it’s a great layer to put under actual wind recordings. This is also suitable for horror:esc sounds.

An old recording of a metal utility rack being raked by another metal piece. I think this was captured with a cheap olympus digital recorder, thus the big noise floor. I was getting some neat percussive sounds modulating in the soundhack morphagene. Feel free to use as you like!.

This is an unusual cat purring track. The cat (his name is squeek) has a rather high, loud vocal range. Try the eq'd version catpurr01lp if you want something closer to normal. Edited and noise reduction via audacity. Enjoy- i think squeek did.

Actually a quite simple patch with not many modules involved. A rewarding patch! have to take some notes. Fm-modulation off-course. Self oscillating filters. Lfos. Sample and hold. Modular fun! well. . . I think its fun.

It was recorded on cubase 5 with an at2020 usb mic. There were about four vocal tracksvocal harmony starting in f#. It builds up in stages and gets better towards the end. The chords are f#7, f7, a#, c#. I think it's 80bpm. Apologies if not.

I was warming up the fireplace and the flame just really took off. It sounded really epic and sinister so i decided to record it. The menacing vibe was captured fairly well with the recording too i think.

I recorded this at costco in federal way, wa and it is 3 freezer motors running consecutively. I was also walking along the freezers to try to get a stereo effect but don't think it worked too well. But if anyone can use it then go for it :^)i used a 'yamaha pocketrak c24'.

I call this 'lunar wind' becuase its an affected sample that i think sounds like a unearthly wind. I recorded a real life wind and processed the signal with some heavy eq and compression. The sound is 100% continuous recording.

I went out to the lake to record some ducks. This day they weren’t squawking as much as i’d hoped, but the wind was calmer than it normally is, and the wind really is your biggest enemy when making outdoor recordings like these. But overall, the recording isn’t bad. The ducks are smallish black ones with white beaks called the american coot. Lots of tweeting birds in there too, especially the first half, and i think those are just the normal small sparrows that you see everywhere. Couple people chatting, but they’re way in the distance. Several different species of frogs croaking and droning. Recorded with my iphone at raccoon lake near centralia, illinois at night. There is a big splash near the beginning from something in the lake, which gives it more of an air of mystery, i think.

I did this by tuning my voice as low as i could get it and recording it. Then i slowed the voice down to 0. 400, instead of using the paulstretch. I, again, did this with audacity and used my laptop to record it. Pretty good, i think.

I was fiddling around with an analog synth that went into a peavey km50 keyboard amp and i made this soundit has loads of pitch editing giving it the house-ey feel to it and i think it was an fmaj5/9 chord with extra 6ths and 4ths.

Part 2 of 3, swooshes. While on skype, someone i was calling left the mic on while he packed for a trip. A transmission error caused a unique distortion effect while he was moving gear and typing. These are the swooshes, normally made from dragging objects or sustained rustling. . . I think.

This is a 'helicopter' esque pass by created with my vocals, a tone generator and a guitar tremolo pedal. I think this could be best used as a layer. It really needs some background noise and potentially more engine noises to sound realistic. Use it as you like!.

A heavy summer shower recorded from my window with a zoom h2. There are some background noise (child's voice, but i think no car, can't swear to it though) and two claps of far away thunder. The rain becomes lighter in the last 1'30. Free for any use. I'd be happy to know if you used it :-).

A short transition woosh i made with paper and audacity. We can hear a smooth outstretched white noise sound combined with some scrapped paper. It's my first sound so tell me what you think about it in the comments please!.

I generated a square tone with audacity and applied a few effects to it, mostly wahwah i think, and faded in and out. It's the same as "machine. Wav" that i've uploaded, but louder. If you repeat it, it makes a very believable sound for an old video game machine.

My first posted sound effect, this is something made on my synthesizer for fun this morning that i think people could get use out of for horror videos and such, as the sound kind of reminds me of a spider or some kind of creature not unlike one scuttling across a wooden floor.

It is a psicosphere sound designed by me, made by processing an audio recorded from blowing in a glass bottle. I think it came out an interesting result, specially if you want to create a dramatic atmosphere. Enjoy! and please comment if you like.
