2:21 field recording of exterior daytime environmental windy day in an exposed lincolnshire countryside location, but with mics partially shielded inside a bus-shelter for less in your face perspective. Recorded with a balanced stereo pair of mics and edited to remove intrusions.
In this sample you hear a recording from inside a well sound insulated room, directly under the roof of a house. Strong rain hints the roof and produces low frequency muted sounds. In the background you hear the constant noise of the rain, coming through the window. There are also a few raindrops hitting the glass of the window. The sample was recorded using the built-in stereo microphone of a zoom h4n recorder. It was slightly processed to remove unwanted low and high frequencies which were not related to the actual recording. A door is trying to keep itself closed with a strong wind (very fast thanks to the mountain). You can notice the cracks: it's old, more than 30 years old. Two strong wind gusts at braddons lookout, devonport. Recorded from the back of a station wagon, 10 june 2019, with a rode nt4 inside a rode blimp, onto a marantz pmd661.
It is a thunderous sound that is both constant and very strong. It had to be activated by a person by generating friction between the floor and the chair when dragging it.
This is a recording of the wind whistling between the cracks in the window, creating very unpleasant unpeaceful atmosphere (with occasional very quiet blind scratching against the window). Made with canon camcorder.
It is not a constant sound because several alterations are perceived during its reproduction, there are moments when it is soft, strong, slow, etc. It was activated the moment a person chopped potatoes.

Message 1-3 are captured by nasa, but recently even other countries have registered very strong, but short signals. The receivers are masers and the frequencies are in the higher gigahz range. Message4 was from russia.

Very strong sounding grasshopper. When i rode home from work at 11 a. M. I heard a strong sounding grasshopper in a neighbor's busch i run into my house and picked up my recorder and mic and run out tried coming closest possible for good sound, but it was a little too close because the hopper become silent. Many moan-sounds on freesound are sexually driven/based, while i was searching more a kind of moaning trying to pull/push something in/out a well/hole/closet. . .
It is a strong sound that in a moment it is perceived that it becomes weak but returns to its initial state and remains constant. It was activated by opening the water tap and the hose.
