I recorded this in 2019 on the bank of the secure river in bolivia in the amazonia jungle. The are many different animal sounds going on in this clip, birds, monkeys insects.

I needed a sound that clearly represents peeling tape from a roll. I found some surgical tape of the kind used to secure a bandage, and proceeded to peel it from the roll, tear a piece off and apply it. All of that is here.

I record the wind blowing under a métal security door. It was inside a theatre. I was with my hand recorder nagra lino. Strange ambiance.

Heavy chain, padlock pulled through metal gate, unlocked. Keys rattle, footsteps, locked again, chain rattle.

Unlocking the safety frontdoor with keys needs more than one turn. Then closing and locking it again. The second unlock has a pause before the mechanism finally unlocks the door. At the end the door is getting locked from the inside with keys.

Listen with secure stereo headphones. The first wave sounds mono; it should appear as though the sound is coming from the center of your head. Every monday morning at ten o'clock the deafening sound of an air-raid siren disturbs the peace over a large area of the leafy commuter belt that is berkshire, uk. I used to work security at an apartment in a major college town so i had quite a few opportunities to catch some action. I'm not going to reveal the name of the city or town i was in for obvious privacy reasons. This was one of my best catches. Her sexy moans makes her sound like a porn star and if i'm not mistaken, i think she was getting anal. It sounded like she said "fuck me in the ass" at least twice, maybe three times throughout the recording.

Plane- it’s difficult to get good recordings of planes taking off these days. There’s always major streets or highways close by which results in a bunch of unwanted traffic noise. It’s difficult to find a good vantage point to set up because there’s hardly any public parking with unobstructed sight lines (or in my case hearing lines) to the planes. Plus, with all the extra security measures in place these days, how suspicious would i look setting up a laptop andsome cables and some other electronic equipment in the general area of the runway?but i managed to get this recording. It’s not spectacular, but it’s ok. There’s some worker truck at the end of it which gets in the way, but doesn’t ruin it. Here you can hear this high-speed train come screaming through burbank's downtown station (traffic can be heard on i-5 in the distance). You will hear a security guard walk behind me just before the train comes through. He was one of our trusty transpo officers making sure i wasn't up to no good with my zoomh4n device.
