A recording i made by using a small camcorder which i proceeded to drop on a wooden desk. The sound was obviously extracted from the video i recorded. Could be useful sounds for pov/first-person-movies projects. Enjoy!.

A gathering of small birds chattering in a bush outside my house, chattering to each other. Some wind noise, wind chimes and (unfortunately) the vibration noise of the minidisc recorder drive spinning are all clearly audible at various points.

Another sample of a seagull at whitby, uk. Recorded in mono on my point & shoot camera, then made into pseudo stereo by pasting the mono recording into both left and right channels, then inverting/flipping the right channel.

A slow, fingerpicked chord progression on a 6-string guitar. I recorded this using my zoom h4n recorder and some external, stereo microphones. The microphones were the samson c0-2 and i had them mounted on two separatemicrophone stands: 1 was pointed at my left hand on the fret board to hopefully get the finger-squeaks, and the other microphone was pointed right above the sound-hole about 3 inches above the opening. This is a larger stream in the shawnee national forest. At this particular point on the stream had a large log over which the water was flowing gently. . . . Not as much gurgling and popping sounds, just a nice smooth, flowing sound.

A simple 303 loop (not an actual 303, it's the nekobee softsynth). I recorded it in fixed point with a much too high input volume, so it was very distorted. It sounds kind of cool. You may use this sound for any purpose without attribution.

I needed a wall of crickets but could not find a decent one so i used some samples and multiplied them to make it sound like hundreds of crickets. Enjoy. Nice to fall asleep to, but the loop points could use some fixing-up.

This was made from a 2-second stutter on a voice recording i was doing. I pulled it and played with it, looking for the various ways i could manipulate it. At one point it started sounding spooky and a bit dramatic. I kept going with it, and produced this.

On a music tour mostly travelling along the volga river and stopping at various places on the way. Captured on portable cassette recorder. Was never told what place this was, just that it was the "little town' and i suspect at this point we were on the oka river. May 1992.

Wasn't going to upload this, but it was pointed out to me that it sounds like the intro to a song in a minor key. Not sure i see that, but the suggestion is that some composer will seize on it as an opening to an instrumental that fits it. I want to see if that will happen. If that's not practical, i feel sure someone will find a use for it.

A gigantic flock of crows (corvus corone), at least 100 birds, circling right over our house at lubeck, germany. Hasty recording, therefore some rumbling at some points, but a nice clear recording nonetheless as they circled very near. Recorded on zoom h2.

I combined two drum sound samples, one of the impact with a deep echo, and one a hollow wood tube strike against a hard object to a certain rhythm. I want to point out that the sample that streams on the website has a small static noise in it. . The original, when downloaded, will not have this noise. I made 2 versions of this one, the one i kept for myself scares me more than this one, lol, but this one has more stuff going on in it.
