Around 15 minutes of a fireworks show i went to. You can hear many different types of fireworks go off, with crackling, explosions, bangs, booms, etc. In this. There are people and kids talking and laughing in the background throughout many parts due to this being a public event, which may be good or bad depending on what you would like to use this for. The fireworks were not very far away, which means that they do sound close. I even got covered in some ash during the experience. You do not need to credit me for this sound, use it how you like.

Quiet urban residential area in tokyo at about 2 am in the late summer (october, i think). You can hear far off traffic, some night insects and a drunk guy who came to close to my hidden mics to take a whiz. Excluding the peeing guy, quiet parts are perfect for looping (for ambient background sounds in video or audio works). The peeing guy might actually be useful, so i didn't cut it out. Faithfully recorded with a stereo mic pair placed at a 90 degree angle. The left-right balance was adjusted and the stereo field was expanded later to fix the lopsided sided flatness of the original recording. Other than that, the recording is unprocessed.

Recorded on september 4, 2020 on an ipad. Some parts or maybe even all of it may sound like just noise to some people. It was recorded in a government fenced in square. So there are buildings on 3 sides of my location and a gated entrance at the front. It is mainly drums that are played for a dragon dance. These dances are performed at special occasions, such as a new business opening. There is a troop of about 8 people there to perform the dance. For the first half of the recording, the two dragons (four people) were preparing and they were actually performing the dance for the second half of this recording.

My keurig coffee maker has been sounding a little rough so i decided to record it with my zoom h1n this morning as it made me a cup of coffee. It's the entire cycle with the general noise of a kitchen. Mainly you can hear my 20 year old fridge humming in the background during the quit parts of the keurig cycle. Don't plan on using it for anything, so have fun with it. The audio from when the coffee starts to pour into my cup is on the left side, so that was pretty cool to listen too on the headphones when i played it back.

Just joined. Here's my first submission :). Recorded a few samples of "voice horror", a friend and i were going to make a short film but it never panned out. Basically the sound is a "disembodied voice" recorded on some tech that the entity damaged the quality or something. Used several filters and a vocoder. The idea was to vocalize the first parts in a way that it would be hard to understand, having the viewer listen more closely, and build the fear with the audible phrase ". . . And now there's somebody living on the other side of the wall and i think he can see usssss".

Bought an old sony walkman from an antique mall. It was advertised as "radio works, but cassette player does not play. " this was true, and i was surprised at the noises it made when you tried to play tapes, though whether or not you have a tape or not it makes these types of noises when you switch it to the metal/chrome setting with dolby b on. You can add a 60 hertz hum if you touch any of the metal parts, and can somewhat mess the sound by messing with the spindles as they move. I may upload some more samples of this at one point, with cleaner recording of each of the sounds you can create.

Here's some more of that young couple next door. For this one, they probably went 15+ minutes. Their libido must be really high for this day/night. From my listening, it seems like they were not doing it in bed the entire time. They must have used other furniture and played around in different positions. From 3:30 or even before that is when they start. Passed 5:00 is when the woman starts to moan loud. 14:55 is when they finish. 16:07 guy says i'm tired. Note that the original audio had more bed and furniture creak noises, almost 30 mins long, and some of their chats cut out. Also note that some of the noises left in on the good parts may not be sex noises. This was edit and shorten with audacity.

Recorded with my squier telecaster and squire mini-bass through the focusrite interface into reaper. A nod to kenny gioia for the reaper tips. The guitar was sent through the walrus slo pedal on 'dream' setting. Also added a pitch change to compliment some of the guitar parts. The bass was double tracked for better sound. Bass amp is a behringer bxl1800. Comments welcome. Bartolome calatayud was born in 1882 on the island of mallorca, received in 1899 the diploma of honor 1st class granted by the workers instructive center palma for his "superior musical knowledge in guitar playing". Although less famous in the classical guitar world, bartolome calatayud has left much enjoyable and exciting music written for classical guitarists of all abilities. Recorded in my dad's bedroom with lifecam hd3000 webcam. This is a much better recording than my previous oxygen concentrator file, as i hauled my desktop into the bedroom at the other end of the apartment where the machine now is, when i was home alone. The webcam is on the bed about 3 or 4 feet from the machineat the beginning of the file you hear me flip the big switch and the machine comes on with a long on beep and thumps. I edited it to start then. At 00:1. 8 what i suspect is the water pump comes on, though i may be wrong. That's when the gurgling starts though. The machine has a small reservoir for distilled water to moisten the airflow. A cup or two lasts several daysyou'll hear various hisses and thumps in a 15. 6 second cycle as it runs. At 03:03 i flip the big switch to shut the machine off, and it bubbles and gurgles away for the rest of the file, as water i assume slowly perculates back into the reservoir, the bubbling getting quieter and quieter until it doesn't even sound like bubbling anymore, until it finally ticks to a stop. At 03:16 you hear me step as i get my foot loose from the mic cord lol. At 04:13 the furnace shuts down as a car finishes going by outside in the bass register, faint traffic noises and the furnace being the only background noises you'll hear aside from my moving around a couple times, and a faint bluejay at the end. At about 07:00 you can barely hear the machine anymore, but i could hear a faint ticking with my own ears. At 07:04 the furnace comes back on. At 07:08 you'll hear a bluejay faintly calling outside and a car going by outside after, which finishes the file at 07:20. I edited out my walking to the computer to shut the recording down. A close up recording of an overheating usb slot-loading cd/dvd drive that repeatedly tries to spin up, but fails and makes some clicking noises. Note on low frequency sounds: i recorded this with a zoom h1n recorder at about 2cm distance from the drive slot. I held the recorder in my hand and rested my hand on the surface the cd drive was resting on, so there is somewhat of a mechanical connection between the drive's vibrations and the recorder. I believe this led to the low frequency parts of the recording. About halfway through the recording, i lifted the drive up with my other hand and held it at a 30degree angle to the surface and recorder. As you can hear in the recording, this made it spin up a little longer before failing and spinning back down.

Another recording of rain and thunder, but in some ways a better one. This one is a surprisingly big crack and rumble preceded and followed by a nice sounding rain. I made this by positioning a stereo-matched pair of akg c451b condenser mics in an exaggerated x-y configuration (a wider stereo field) and aiming them out of my open window. The mics went into a universal audio 2-610 preamp, an apogee duet 2, and then ableton at 48khz and 24 bits. I believe i had the mics set flat, and there was no post processing (though i was mightily tempted to upload the much-better-sounding eqed and compressed files) so that you can fine tune it to suit your needs. You'll notice that the loudest parts of the thunder boom clipped the input, but, due to the pleasant and forgiving nature of vacuum tubes, the clipping sounds more compressed than distorted. Feel free to use this sound in any commercial or artistic work! you do not need to credit me.

Here is another night of that couple next door. They were active for around 25 minutes. Sounds like they had a really good night. The recorded audio of this was over two hours long and edit down to this length. Many of their conversations before they you know and after they finished were excluded out. At 2:32, sounds like the woman said "wanna go ahead,. . . "starting around at 3:45 was when they probably began to have their fun in bed, but there were still bits of soft chit chat between the couple. At 13:25 is when there are bits of moans coming from the woman. At 14:50 is when the rising action really begins. At 25:00 was when their fun was coming to an end, and you should be able to hear some of the noises from the guy. For those who just want the good parts of the audio: 13:25-25:56.

My original dw toms, mixed with themselves 1 octave up [the octave up is lowered -6db and the envelope reshaped to allow loud only the attack]. Then for that resulting mixdow again the same thing [so i used the same method two times]. At all steps i was using the simple compressor[not multiband] for not allowing overlimiting. For the two general mixdowns [because it was a double process] i used hard compressor at -0. 45 dbs. And for the two octavic parallel channels i used hard compressor -3. 60 dbsbecause the octave doesn't sound realistic if not well compressed. For all my dw octavic tomsed i used the same exact method. My original dw toms are here if you want to read data or mics. These toms do not sound realistic as stand alone sounds. These harmonics work better only in a complete mixdown, and have increased audibility than the original recordings [for silent music parts use the original because low velocity of parallel instruments will expose the supportive tom-harmonics].

This is a recording of an office paper shredder starting up. This model of paper shredder has a button that you can press to run it briefly in reverse, in order to clear paper jams and clean the blades. If the shredder hasn't been used in a while, it takes several seconds to start, and makes a cool noise while doing so. The click at the start of the recording is the switch being pressed. You then hear the motor struggling to start up for about five seconds, and finally it comes up to speed. The high-frequency crackling you hear, particularly once the motor is running smoothly, comes from bits of paper still rolling around in the blades (easy to convert into a campfire or rain). There's another click at the end when the reverse button is released. I uploaded this because several parts of the recording sounded like they'd lend themselves to morphing in various ways to create other interesting noises. Recorded with a hand-held zoom h4n, stereo 96 khz / 24 bits, with the built-in mics, positioned about six inches above the rotating blades of the shredder.

I used audacity to synthesize the five-tone chime made by the montreal metro's jeumont train element 41. Backstory: the train itself was an mr-63 type train modified by canron circa 1971, adding a current chopper to the train's started system. The chopper produced an 'idle' tone at around 45 hz, and as the train departed, five tones at frequencies of 90, 120, 180, 240, and 360 hz. Originally there were 3 'elements' (a set of 2 motor cars and 1 trailer car) with the jeumont-schneider current chopper (element 40, made up of cars 81-579, 80-040, and 81-580; element 41, made up of cars 81-581, 80-041, and 81-582; and element 42, made up of cars 81-583, 80-042, and 81-584). During the early 2000s refurbishments, element 40 was retired from service to provide spare parts for the other elements, which were then connected with elements of 'normal' mr-63 trains. Only the 81-579 car remains from element 40. Element 41 and element 42 were then retired in 2018 when the other mr-63 trains were retired.

The parts edited out to make this 6:17 cut were aspects of piv sex that was too quiet to hear -- other sexual positions, i. E. , the female lying face-down with her stomach touching the bed, male atop, were at a much slower tempo so as to be nearly silent.

A heartbeat sound i made, complete with some gurgling, blood-rushing sounds. Just uploaded a version without the gurgling, in case you prefer the way that sounds. To make this, i took a kick-drum sample and a snare-drum sample, and made a loop of kick-snare, kick-snare, kick-snare, over and over. After that, i eq'd out the more drum-like parts of each sample, added reverb to dull it, a chorus plugin and some compression to remove some of the drums' attack. . . Basically processed the hell out of them. To get the blood gurgling sound, i filled a water-bottle almost all the way full and turned it sideways, so i had a massive air-bubble floating around. I then tilted the bottle back and forth in front of my blue yeti usb condenser mic, so you could hear the air-bubble swishing. I had to be pretty gentle, because if you rock the horizontal bottle too much, the bubble moves too fast and makes a fake-sounding "gloomp. ". When i was happy with it, i mixed the heartbeat sound and the gurgling sounds so they'd work well together. Both the sounds were in mono, so i used a free plugin called wok ms-t on both of them to create a fake hard-panned stereo effect. I wanted it to sound like you'd been running, and were hearing the heartbeat in your ears. I think it turned out pretty cool. .

This is a recording of myself sleeping, beginning ~ 1:00 am local time (~ 3hrs after going to bed) on january 10th, 2020 (which i later discovered was a full moon). I was in the midst of experimenting with recording myself all night long out of curiosity, using a laptop placed near the head of my bed. This particular recording was the only anomalous one (the rest consisting mostly of just breathing or snoring with occasional sleep-talking). This ~2 hour recording has several interesting properties, which make it hard for me to believe that these sounds were actually going on while i was sleeping. On the other hand, i don't have a memory of editing this file if i did. Either way, i find it unsettling. I found the file in oct 2021 while organizing my samples. As far as i can remember, this is the original raw recording. On further inspection, i discovered that it has some additional peculiar properties that make it even harder to believe i could have made it without remembering doing so. The audio spans almost exactly 118min (7080s). There’s a frequency sweep with a cycle-length of 6480ms that repeats throughout the entire recording. Dividing the 118min by 6. 48min (60 cycles) results in 18 parts containing exactly 60 cycles and a remainder of 12 cycles.
