Trying out my new tascam dr-40. Easiest thing to test it on was the wind chimes outside my house. Just a simple recording of the wind chimes in action, with some crickets in the background and a nice fade out.

Here is the sound of a 50-caliber barrett rifle being fired. You'll first hear the sound of the bolt being pulled back. Really cool sound if you can listen on some nice big speakers. Recorded with my handy zoom h4n using a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone. I was standing about 20 feet from the rifle, and i still have the input gain turned way down to about 30, just to make sure the circuitry was not overloaded. Also, since this was in a big, wide-open field, you get a nice echo.

This was recorded in a large theatre. It is not completely silent so it has a nice unique tone. Recorded on my h4n at 24bit/48khz using the built-in stereo mics.

Birds which are called turnus vulgaris are singing on trees. On the background we can hear pigeon and other birds. It is a very nice and relaxing sound. :).
