Tonight, about 0:30 gmt+2 while recording in the middle of the woods (only 2 houses around) 2 dogs were harassing some cat. The cat is alive and safe right now (9 hours since recording have passed). Recorder: h1n + windshield.

I tied an olympus ls-5 recorder high in a tree and left it for half an hour. There are still quite a few people around and you can hear their voices alongside the birds which are getting ready to roost.

Zoom h1n recording from this morning's rainstorm in metro detroit. The original recording was from 5:02am to 7:26am, but due to a lot of secondary rain drops splashes hitting the recorder directly when the wind would shift i edited it down to 52 minutes after taking most of the knocks outs when i edited in movavi. Pretty steady rain for most of the track as you hear the hum from the morning commuters in their cars increase in the distant background. You'll hear some birds too throughout the track, mostly starlings i believe.

I spend hours tweaking and processing my sounds so it would be really nice if you can give me some feedback.

This sound was recorded while driving down the road on my way to school while it was raining. I was traveling between 0 and 60 miles per hour. So there is a variation in the intensity of the rain falling against my car. As-well you gain a slight acknowledgement to the acceleration of my engine.

This is a sample of about an hours worth of recordings i got on this storm. Heavy rain and the lightning got so bad later i had to shut off my computer. 3am couldnt sleep.

Walyunga is a haven of peace and tranquility just outside of perth. It's one of my favourite hikes in the area, as it's only a couple of hours long and combines proximity to water, a bit of a climb, stunning views of perth's skyline, solitude, and gorgeous flora and fauna. A summer evening in a vineyard by the german town of freyburg on unstrut. The recording abounds with natural background noises (wind in trees, birds, insects). In the foreground, a little bird is singing, giving it all it has. I am no bird expert, but if somebody knows what species it is, i'd love to know. At 3:22 into the recording, the tower bells of the keep of neuenburg castle, located on the hill opposite, toll 9 o'clock. They do this by tolling a high bell 4 times, once for each quarter of the full hour, followed by a lower bell tolling the hour 9 times. The recorder is located on the top of the vineyard, facing across the valley between vineyard and castle. These are the rear channels of a 4ch surround recording. Recording conducted with a zoom h2, mic's set to 120° dispersion.

Field recording of diamond lake a few hours before a storm hit that forced all boats to dock. This is in late may of 2022. On a hike at the north end of the lake, i stood at the edge of the water and held my recorder close to the growing waves.

I moved the zoom h1 n onto the window sill in the veranda. It picks up the rain beating on the thin plastic roof sheathing above, and on the glass windows next to the window sill. It is rainy weather - january winter rains on vancouver island. It is a hard driving rain. My recollection is that it was about twelve millimeters in one hour.
