Two dogs are barking in my front yard, with the longest-barking one being a 3-years-old fox terrier chihuahua mix with whom i have an attachment to but who isn't my dog. You can also hear crickets chirping in the background. I used my lenovo laptop's built-in microphone to record this (the same device i had used to record the alarm clock sound & the restaurant-cleanup field recording).

I cut as many incidental noises as i could hear on my headphones (cars, neighbors, etc) but there's still some residual hum from an electrical box that was nearby as well as wind. I recorded this sound on a beach in normandy. It is a close recording of waves crashing on the sand. You can hear the different sounds produced by the water, and the ambiant atmosphere of an oceanside. After recording this sound, i improved it on audacity. I reduced the noice and the wind, then i add a fade in and fade out to make it smoother. This sound is very relaxing and satisfying.

I live next to a car repair place and they have a couple of hot rods that they fire up now and then. This is a '55 chevy and to me the idle sounds like a dragon breathing. He does a couple of slight burnouts and you can hear the echo off the buildings. Recorded with my yamaha pocketrak and edited with sony vegas with one track duplication. Please comment on what you may use it for. :-).

I know a gentleman who started cutting his kids' hair and just never stopped cutting hair, long past his retirement as a farmer. I've never seen him take a cent for it, and he has friends; so he's never out of practice. You will hear an electric clipper used to taper hair on the back of the neck and to trim sideburns. He does not use a barber's straight-razor, but a small electric razor finishes the job.

This is a recording made in the living room of my apartment in the province of rieti in italy, while i'm having fun flying my wave razor drone and making it do a little running and even a little somersault all over the room, only that at a certain point i had not noticed that i had moved away a little too much, in fact you hear a crash. This recording was done with an asus stereo cellphone.

Tennis ball bouncing on a tennis racket: in this sound you hear a tennis ball bounce on a tennis racket. At times the racket makes a metallic sound when the ball bounces off it. Recorded using the zoomh4n and the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. I added a low shelf and and 2 bands to try and make it sound less metallic at times. The ball used is a wilson ball and a wilson tennis racket.

A 1-minute field recording of loyola high school in los angeles. There is a keynote sound of a bell tolling indicating that it is 8:00. There is also a sound signal of the school bell ringing that signals that class is about to start. You can hear people talking throughout the recording. There is a sound of ping pong, as well as the sound of tables being set up in the recording.

A handful of spaghetti cracked into half. I don't know how to use this but often an injury in film foley is just breaking a celery or something else. Recorded with a tascam dr-40. A bunch of weird and hopefully interesting noises. Created using the korg electribe 2 synthesis engine with alot of modulations and asynchron patterns. Post-processing in cubase. It was made with extraordinary plugins erhu guzheng yangquin and a sense of extraordinary expression, valley reverb, and glides. Authentic expression of chinese traditional instruments is hard to imitate so this scene is very short, but useful.
