Just playing with the alesis vortex keytar i got at a garage sale for practically nuttin'. The guitar synth is revitar. And i ran it through amplitude. Timings a off and it sound fake. Okay if the sound you're going for is a drunk robot, i got you covered. Actually, i think a keytar and a good guitar synth would actually be pretty sweet. Best garage sale find ever. Better than that time i got all those pedals.

This is a somewhat funny little sound effect of a bounce. I think it would go good for when a player bounces in a game, but i'm sure people can find other uses for it, too. Nyc subway train arrives, doors open, announcement of direction, doors close, train departs. I stood on the platform at the montrose l station with a sony minidisc and recorded the entire process of a nyc subway train coming and going. Low noise, though you may wish to use a high-pass filter as there is so much bass in the material.

Some migrating geese fly directly overhead, going from the left to the right side of the stereo field. You can hear the doppler shift as they pass. Songbirds sing in the background. On a few samples there is this very high pitch sound. . . Seems not everyone is able to hear this. . My girlfriend was listening with me and she didnt hear anything like this!!!to find out what was going on alienxxx suggested to run the samples thrue an eq to see what was going on. After that i maxed out my eq at 14,8khz. Setting everything to maximize the peak that is so very very very annoying!!!. .

My friend and i had rented a minimoog model d (c1977, not the reissue). We were jamming out some ambient-type sounds, and my mate is just getting lovely tones out the moog, going through a deluxe memory man echo/chorus/vibrato for extra analogue niceness. These owls were recorded around 8:30 at night in the shawnee national forest using my trusty rode ntg-2 on a mic stand. Even though it was a mild night and the insects and frogs should have been vocalizing, they weren't. It was kind of neat -- a dead-quiet night with nothing but these owls. If you thought that owls only do "hoot-hoot" you'll be surprised. After about a minute into it they really get going.

Recorded this while going to the loo in a camping trip. The door was pretty creaky so i decided to record it because it could be a good sound effect. Of course i didn't have any equipment with me so the sound was recorded on my phone, which is why it's a bit echoey and shabby. After spending a weekend putting together a giant wardrobe (from everyones favourite swedish furniture store) for my girlfriend i thought i should reward myself by making some recordings of it. This is a close mic recording of one of the internal draws. For this recording i used my sennheiser mkh416 going into a sound devices mp-1 preamp and recorded to a tascam dr-680.

The clip was created using a synsonics "terminator" guitar with a built-in amp by running the output to my sound card and sound card's output going into to a secondary jack intended for headphones on the guitar. It created an interesting metallic noise, almost like a ring mod. . . There is a segment where i was poking the guitar's amp circuit board with my fingers which creates lots of grumbling/squelchy noises. . . The guitar is kind of crappy, but it makes a pretty neat noise synth! :b.

I created the beat using ableton. I recorded the guitar part on my fender strat, useing warping ableton to tighten up my playing. I used a peavey mic (away from comp will check model when i get home) going to a fast track ultra audio driver. Please credit me if you use it.

This recording is really not great. But i really wanted to capture the frog jam. . . As i was listening i kept thinking about how frogs can teach us about rhythm and wondered if some indigenous or any people ever patterned drumming after frogs. . . These frogs are going to town. . . Hope you can at least hear some of their music on here. It was a full moon night and just by chance we found ourself in a pretty quiet park because of the rains before.

While fooling around with the beat repeat plugin in ableton one day, i noticed it would do this cool rhythmic decrescendo whenever i would hit "repeat". But not when i would export! so i just kept messing around with a simple hi-hat loop with audacity running in the background. I've cut down and sampled this recording many times, think it's time i let it go to see what the internet can do with it ;).

The sound is going to an uoki-toki polivoks filter in band pass mode and to a vca. From vca to zoom ms-70cdr tape echo effect and back to modular and into the ladik r-330 reverb. From reverb to mixer and out module to computer and audacity. And to you :-).

Five glorious minutes of the sound of ducks! recorded on the woodland lakes holiday park near thirsk in yorkshire. Over 100 mallard ducks descend onto a small man-made lake in the midst of the holiday cabins and then proceed to quack loudly and splash about in the water. Just makes your ears hurt, doesn't it? could be great for something like a machine having a complete meltdown, or a robot going haywire. Created by taking a stock sound effect of guitar plugs being pulled and distorting, reversing, stretching, looping, adding phaser, flanger, vibrato, tremolo, i can't even remember what else, like there's no tomorrow. All done in wavepad. I also tried to make it loop, but it's up to you whether i succeeded or not.

I walked through my neighborhood on july 4th, and many people were setting off fireworks outside their houses, so i recorded it. It was pretty chaotic. I walked through a park, which had a wet ground that you can hear me making my way through in some parts of this audio. Numerous fireworks go off, close and far, with crackles, sharper bangs, and more. You can also hear people yelling in the distance. Use this how you like, i do not need credit.

A horse harnessed with metalic chains is walking in a silent forest. The rattling of chains is getting closer, then we follow the horse and we can ear the lood steps on the forest soil of fallen leaves. Then the horse is going away and the rattling of chains desappears slowly in a silent forest of windy pines. France, january 2023. Sounds of a wine glass being hit with a steel spoon and wooden stick, single hits and repetitive fast hits for imitating a bell of sorts. Going into nice overtones in the second part. I needed a sound effect for an audio project, specifically the sound of someone moving around in a bathtub full of water and ice. Being too lazy to go out and get a carpload of ice cubes, i raided the ice-maker in the refrigerator and built up a stockpile, then dumped them all into the metal kitchen sink, added some water and a few empty ice cube trays for flavor, and stirred them about using a glass mixing bowl and a wooden spoon.

Indian hand pumps are manually operated water pumps that are commonly used in rural areas of india. When i recorded the pump is in operation, you may hear the rhythmic sound of the handle being moved up and down, as well as the sound of water being sucked up from the ground and pushed up through the riser pipe and in addition to the sounds of the pump itself, you may also hear other ambient sounds in the village, such as the chatter of people going about their daily activities, the sounds of animals.

I live on a lake and this is what my back patio sounds like every night. They live in the branches of the weeping willow trees that dip down to the water. The sound starts with one frog, then a few join in, and soon there as a chorus of them on all ends of the lake in all tempos going at once. Then when a crescendo is reached, they all start to stop one by one until it's silent again. But the silence only lasts for minute, and then the cycle repeats. I don't know if it's some huge frog mating ritual, or family reunion.

A sound i made in audacity, basicly a chirp going down from about 500 hz to 20 hz (with a fade-out to limit subwoofer use)and added some ambience by using white noise rumble on the background, also added a slight wah-wah as you might notice. Recorded on august 22nd 2020 using my sony pcm-10 recorder. An overnight recording going into early morning. A beautiful soundscape of a insect-laden overnight in a small midwest town. Fascinating to contemplate how, while us humans are sleeping soundly, preparing for our next day, nature, is performing this nightly chorus, under cover of darkness. Gentle, drowsy insects gently rocking the world. Washing over the world with the re-birth that night brings.

Kid excitedly yelling where the kid they were chasing was going, toward the end another kid keys his walkie heterodyning with the yelling kid. Recorded in goldwave from radioditty gd77s handheld directly in front of lifecam 3000 webcam.

This wa maybe my first attempt at doing something that i would describe as steve reich-y (not knowing very much about steve reich) which is a method i got slightly obsessed with. Basically (for me) it was creating a short measure for a few instruments (apso uploaded here) but then layering them, slightly and increasingly out of time, so that they go out of phase and create a huge trippy musical canvas that you couldn't have predicted from the opening measure (well i couldn't, but i know nothing about music).

I don't know what combination of (free (as in beer)) vsts, ni komplete audio 2 interface, and behringer pro~1 synth produced this but i thought it was very soothing and definitely worth sampling!. The bass note at the beginning is f# if you want to use that as well ;). Was going to wait to upload a samplepack after i finish these 3 albums/compilations but this is just too good to sit on. Note to would-be producers: this is what mindset you get into after burning the candle at both ends buyer beware :upside_down_face:.

Recorded with only a small digital video camera at a cafe in pushkar, india. As i sat by the lake one afternoon, two indians sat down on the ground in front of me and began playing this and singing. There is background cafe noises and the odd motorbike going by and beeps, people talking and its not great quality but, someome may like it. . . Where we live the fireworks laws are pretty lax so people go crazy with them. Here is a recording from the day before independence day (yesterday) as people were blowing up part of their arsenal ahead of time. In a few hours i will be recording as things get really crazy. Our neighbors on three sides will light off the thousands of dollars of fireworks that they have purchased. Many of them are illegal (purchased from indian reservations) so there will be some big booms. Back to this recording. It is recorded with my "fake head" binaural setup, hanging from a tripod at the crest of the garage roof. There is a tree a few feet away and a light breeze is rustling the leaves. Here is a bit of a timeline:. 0:00 kids across the street light off a few fireworks4:05 the neighbors across the street were having a party, and the guests begin to leave. 6:30 the guest of honor honks and yells "love you" as she drives away. 8:00 the kids across the street go inside. Now all you hear are fireworks in the distance, all over town. 32:17 someone lights what must be a million firecrackers. They continue until 51:20 - 19 minutes!!!.
