This is actually an odd sound my thermos makes when i don't close the lid properly. I guess it could be used for all sorts of abstract things, like ants talking to each other, alien sounds, organic things in general. It's just air going through a thin space. It was raining today and i heard the frogs, decided to record some ambience. So it's just the rain on the street outside my house with the occasional gray tree frog mating call going on too. A chicken yard in the transsylvanian village of țichindeal/romania. Some 300 chickens, along with 2 pigs and some geese are going about their business, a farmhand can be heard filling a water trough at the beginning. Slightly more wide-angle than the two other chicken yard recordings. Recorded with a rode nt-sf1 and matrixed to stereo.

So when i started the recording, humans arrives in the street with some music and the birds keep singing at the same time. Finally, birds keep quiet and surely flee from humans who goes further. I made a good comparison to jacksepticeye's videos and what happens in his house. Took about an hour to make because i was repeatedly adding 250% more gain to the intro(on audio mass) but i added so much that when i downloaded it it came out sounding like just static so i added way less gain. I recommend going to audiomass. Com to try this out if you like.

The source of the sound originates in an apartment. I recorded the creaking noise of the front door with a zoom h4n. I didn't change effect as i wanted it to be used naturally as background noise and give special atmosphere, like in alfred hitchcock movies. I remarked this was a very clear, resourceful sound when going out from home: i heard it and suddenly thought that would be a good sound for the freesounders's community.

To make this series of sounds, i blended a bunch of samples together, some recorded on my go-to usb mic, some synthesized in ableton. I thought they fit together nicely vs being isolated pieces. While recording birds at the south sutor above cromarty, black isle, highlands, scotland on may 7th 2014 about 3pm a raf sea king came along to practice cliff rescues nearby to my annoyance so recorded it instead. It hovered behind the trees nearby before heading towards the cliff did a lower and lift and then swept round in large circle before heading back over the sea to the base at lossiemouth. Recorded using a zoom h2n recorder and software provided with recorder called wavelab. No alteration or special effects used.

Tabla is percussion instrument with two drums 'daya' and 'baya'. Only the 'daya' drum is usually tuned. For checking the tuning the 'na' bol is played. Recorded using samson-go portable condenser mike at home. Placing the mike too close to tabla was clipping the sound and if placed away, it was not picking the extended resonance. Hence the mike was moved closer after attack, hence the apparent increase in amplitude and some doppler effect is seen.

Sound is a home-made circuit bent walkie talkie fashioned into a sort of opto-theremin. Main fx used to process it: boss xtortion and wattson superfuzz, with various other fx switched on and tweaked in the middle. Very much like a chainsaw in the beginning. . . That or a motorbike. The "reving engine" effect was created by blocking the amount of light going to the photocell (which was ripped out of a furby!).

Sounds of a fireworks show i recorded at a private party last year. While not the sound of a huge fireworks show you might hear at disneyland for example, i was right under the rockets being launced so i think it captured good sounds. It was over a lake with a crowd and boats coming and going but i think i was able to edit all those sounds out.

Sounds of people walking past, car doors opening and closing, cars pulling in and out, distant traffic on the surrounding roads going by including cars, trucks and busses. Occasional honks. Occasional audible talk-radio in a car parked near by.

Once a year, the farmers go in line through the fields and the forest, screaming and whistling, in order to send the sheep to the corner of the field, and take them to the farm for the sheep's shave. They can't see each other but can recognize themselves with their specific screams and keep in line. Oddly enough this man does not consider himself a baritone, and his speaking voice is not so deep. This was not modified except with noise reduction, because the air conditioning was audible. It just happens to be the deepest sound i've ever heard him make, and he wasn't awake. So it wasn't a moan, or a groan, or a gasp. Please tell me what you think it is. Mid morning bird song from the 50+ house sparrows that use our side garden to eat from the feeders, perch on the hedges and generally don't go too far away before coming back for another meal. The recent garden birdwatch survey has been published which shows sparrow numbers have increased but are still down from where they were when i was a lad. I'm 72 so that's a long time ago!.

I stood on the platform at the montrose l station with a sony minidisc and recorded the entire process of a nyc subway train coming and going. Low noise, though you may wish to use a high-pass filter as there is so much bass in the material.
