First attempt at recording with audacity and my new keyboard. All sounds are bone-stock from the mx49. I've only added a little reverb in one 15-second section of the piece. I didn't intend to do anything in particular, just checking out sounds on the keys and getting familiar with audacity. I think of it as a 21st century version of the beatles "revolution 9". A simple recording of a metal drawer. Recorded with zoom h4n + sontronics stc-10 pencil condensors. This was recorded in my room so unfortunately the signal to ambient noise ratio isn't great, i think it's just passable though. The sound can be used for free (though it would be great to hear about what you do with it). It may not be re-distributed as it is, or as part of a compiled sound library.

This year has been a clumsy one, so i now am the "proud" owner of a giant bucket of broken glass. Here's what it sounds like when i take a hammer to it. What's up! this is my firts sample i put here. With some big spherical card tube i do some kind of ''brrrrrrrr'' with my mouth. So that give me this sample i have here for all of you. Casio mt-36 drum hits. A bit quietly and noisily recorded, but my soundcard can't do much better. Amazing analogue(?, some sounds sound like semi-digital) drum hits, sound kinda like sega genesis noises coupled with a roland 808 charm. I think you may find something worth preserving here - i think at least they're very worth preserving.

I produced this sound using massive exported through fl studio 20. Clean 808 bass sound sustained with no distortion, no bs, just that thing that makes your speakers jump. Feel free to use this any way you like. I am interested to hear what people do with it so if you post a link here i will definitely listen to it.

For a videogame we needed to create a sound in a scene where guitar players are doing sound check before show. Random chords, leaks, rips, tuning just for fun. Recorded using gibson les paul guitar, processed with overloud th2 plugin.

Getting in, starting, and driving my 2011 peugeot ion electric car. The door opens, i put on my seat belt, insert the key, start the vehicle (there's the ready-to-drive beep), i put the car in drive, release the parking brake, and drive away. I was playing with my mixed-breed dog, mia, the other day, and so recorded her doing things. An experimental sound i did while messing with audacity. Just like i did in that end sound, i just used my table to do the sound, but instead of pounding, i tapped it (man, my table is kinda useful for sfx. Xd). And after that, i added the vocoder, some reverb, and the echo effect then viola! this effect was born!.

Another one with 1 looping envelope and 2 vclfos in a dance. I start the recording with the looping envelope in non looping mode. After about 33 sec i switch to looping-mode. Records and hope that a pattern should emerge. So, what do you think? one more time i switch looping mode off and then on. Cool technique.

Every now and then i get on reaktor and jam out a load of abstract weirdness to cut up and be used or further processed, i am uploading some of the raw, continuous files for you to do the same. They tend to be kinda aggressive, but not always and not unusably so (in a commercial sense).

I have a lot of old hard drives, some of which are still working and others are damaged. My project is collect the sounds produced during start-up. To do this i use a digital recorder zoom h4n using the two incorporated microphones and two 'diy'ed contact microphones additionally. This here is the sound of a western digital caviar 32500 working fine.

This is a recording made in the living room of my apartment in the province of rieti in italy, while i'm having fun flying my wave razor drone and making it do a little running and even a little somersault all over the room, only that at a certain point i had not noticed that i had moved away a little too much, in fact you hear a crash. This recording was done with an asus stereo cellphone.

Sounds of a ceramic coffee cup being hit with a steel spoon, single hits and repetitive fast hits for imitating a bell of sorts. Caution: may get noisy and ear-piercing ;). Recorded inside a closet. Low noise, not much reverb. Sounds almost machine-like with a satisfying thump. Recorded on a phone. I messed around with it to get it to sound nice. In case you do something that mixes the channels: on the opening part i copied a 5khz to 8. 5khz band from the left to the right channel, so that frequency band is mono.

A very random jazzy little piece performed rather poorly by yours truly on my accordion. Recorded using my laptop's internal microphone, which is about the furthest from professional you can possibly get. Bowling: here we have the sounds of a bowling ball hitting the pins in a bowling alley. Not only do you hear the loud crash when contact is being made by the ball but you also hear the pins scatter. There are different variations of the ball hitting the pins to accommodate the user's preferences. They vary in tempo and amplitude. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg. Great to add some fun to a soundscape.
