Beryl spring (a hot spring) in yellowstone national park, wyoming, usa. See photo: https://photos. App. Goo. Gl/1tifnpcnuxs4zgd19. Original recording is similar to b format ambisonic (horizontal only - no z channel), encoded to ortf stereo with harpex. If you want a higher resolution flac file (up to 24/96) of this recording, send me a pm. I could also encode a slightly different perspective, if you wish.

I was playing around trying to create a different sound when i accidentally created this sound which reminded me of a rocket flying by. I thought it might be useful and uploaded it. I kept it a bit longer so you can edit it into a loop or fade it out to make it seem the rocket flies away =). Made with fl studio with the free firebird vst plugin.

The crowd hasn't arrived, so the night clubs are very audible, lots of bass beats pounding. It's a summer night in the san diego gaslamp district. Recorded in stereo from high up in a hotel window. Some street sounds waft up as well. The other two in this series are different. Both have thick crowd noise. The no. 2 track has an angry crown cordoned off by the police.

Recording of footsteps on a wooden floor, wearing shoes (sneaky petes). I walk from a solid wood floor to a corridor, up a short flight of stairs to another room with a laminated wood floor, then back to the first room. The ambiance changes slightly in the different rooms. I used an sm58 and an irig pro on an ipad using garageband and mastered in cubase.

Sounds used in the game "unknown invaders". You can download the game at sourceforge from here:https://sourceforge. Net/projects/unknown-invaders-gamemost of the sounds were downloaded from "freesound. Org", so they should be already here. But these specific ones, were very remixed, changed, etc, etc. . . To fit to the game, and to give a "different" feeling. Could be useful for your projects, too. . . Hope that you like it. . . Have fun!.

Midi file of BWV 610 from the Orgelbüchlein adapted with different instrumentation from lilypond file on Mutopia. "Jesu, meine Freude" (Jesus, my joy) is a hymn in German, written by Johann Franck in 1650, with a melody by Johann Crüger, first appearing in a hymnal by Crüger in 1653. The hymn is the base for Johann Sebastian Bach's funeral motet, BWV 227, and his chorale prelude, BWV 610.

This is a basic drum loop featuring a performance on the udu, a middle eastern hand drum. The stereo sample actually consists of the same rhythmic patttern performed on two individual drums of different pitches assigned to the left and right stereo channels. This loop would work well for a bollywood-style production or anything requiring a little bit of mid-eastern flair. Enjoy! feedback welcome.

Recordings of some birds singing amongst some trees in leicester city-centre, uk. This is a composite of a longer recording. The second half of the recording focuses on another tree with different birds singing. Note the lo-fi soundscape due the noise levels caused by the nearby traffic. This is my recreation of the noise in the background of a video shot on a consumer grade minidv camcorder (a well used one). I haven't had a minidv camcorder on hand for a few years and nobody i knew would give me a recording of just tape motor noise so i went to create the noise myself. This sound is a combination of a very badly pressed dvd in my computer's drive mixed with a tone made in audacity (up one octave from the tone that the disc ended up creating), all mixed down and brought down in volume. I know it's not a prefect recreation, but i don't have a minidv camcorder on hand so this is about as good as i can get it. If anyone has access to an anechoic chamber, a fresh tape, and a well used consumer grade minidv camcorder, please get in touch with me. I'd like the real deal better than my recreation that i did in my spare time. Note on recreating the noise out of hdv camcorders. They have slightly different hardware and as such will create different bearing noise (most times, there's an extra whine on top of the familiar bearing whine heard from standard dv camcorders). I forget the exact frequency, but it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 840hz-860hz and it's a sort of sine wave, but a modest bit more jagged. You'll have to provide your own stock camcorder mic hiss as each camcorder is different (not for definite sure on sony camcorders, but canon camcorders have a pink-ish white noise in about that era).

Captured in a small she-oak forest on the edge of pink lakes, a salt lake in murray sunset national park , victoria australia. The wind sings beautifully through these trees. Recorded with a ms set up using a sennheiser 416 paired with sennheiser mkh-70 into a zoom h4n. I then synced this up with another recording from a different position using a zoom 4n.

This is a mono version of a sound taken from here:https://www. Freesound. Org/people/luckylittleraven/sounds/239122/. Here is the original description:the didgeridoo requires circular breathing, and it can create many different rhythms. It can take a while to learn and get a rhythm going and each time the song is played it is organic and unique. The bpm is unique and changes! this snippet works well at 115bpm and is two bars in length :d loop.

This is a simple loop of me playing some nice triplet delay textures on guitar. This is a stereo file with 2 guitars panned on the right and left, playing the same pattern in different octaves, offering a nice atmosphere. This was recorded with a hagstrom f200p (awesome p90 style pickups) on a voxac15, using a boss dd7 for the delay and a beheringer reverb unit (yeah, i love the lo-fi sound of that cheap box!).

Sounds recorded by me for my previous indie film. Weapons are live and firing blanks from different locations as part of the movie making process. Various echoes and other sound qualities reflect where the shooter is compared to the sound recorder. Sounds with street echo are particularly useful in sound design of street shootouts with automatic weapons. Weapon id: heckler & koch mp5a3 - 9mm.

Squeaky audio cable-to-speaker incomplete connection. One end is plugged into a speaker and the other is not plugged into anything. The squeaking sound is made from my fingers touching the tip and sides of the metal tip of the non-connected end of the cable. The variation of sound and pitch is from moving my fingers up and down the metal tip in different speeds, angles, and placements.

Channeling the /dev/sda1 hard drive partition into a file. At last i've imported the raw file properly as the 8-bit unsigned linear pcm. This is 8bit mono 44100 hz windows wave. Lots of strange digital sounds. Quite useful for noise and experimental musicians. Interesting that if we just do cat /dev/sda1 > /dev/dsp we hear different sound more like modem 56k. I also made a record of it. See my files.

Sony dvp-s530d cd/dvd player. A couple of takes of the disc tray being gently pushed closed. The first take includes the sound of the player spinning up a disc. The left channel is a sennheiser mkh-416 and the right channel is an akg c414 b-uls, both into a john hardy m-1 preamp into pro tools. Each mic has a slightly different recording position and overall sound.

Files labeled "ms" correspond to mid/side recordings. This allows for adjustment and separation of the stereo image. To makes the most of these samples, i suggest you do, or the stereoness could sound exaggerated. Most daws and audio editors have this capability, or you can use any of several free applications, such as voxengo's msed (set to "inline" mode). The pack variations correspond to different recording techniques and microphone combinations.

It's a recording of a modern portable cash register printing a daily report. Then the paper tape is ripped of. There are funny frequency effects caused by the paper tape getting longer and resonating different frequencies. The sound have not beet piped through any processing. Recorded with a hand-held zoom h2's rear mics. Originally 96khz/24-bit wav. Edited and converted to flac using audacity.

Recorded using jez riley french contact microphones, on a windy day on the south coast of england. I connected a pair of contact microphones to different parts of a metal fence and let the wind do the rest. Starts off gently and gradually the intensity increases as the wind picks up. You can hear the fence rattling and a ambient drone of the wind blowing.

A semi-automatic rifle, pitched down 3 semi-tones. Made in bitwig, i used 10 different recorded gunshot layers that have been eq'ed and multiband compressed to form a new gun sound. Subbass was synthesized for the super low end. The process i use is to select frequencies using high pass and lowpass filters from a recording for the lows, mids and highs. This forms a "layered sound".

I recorded this sound on a beach in normandy. It is a close recording of waves crashing on the sand. You can hear the different sounds produced by the water, and the ambiant atmosphere of an oceanside. After recording this sound, i improved it on audacity. I reduced the noice and the wind, then i add a fade in and fade out to make it smoother. This sound is very relaxing and satisfying.

Bowling: here we have the sounds of a bowling ball hitting the pins in a bowling alley. Not only do you hear the loud crash when contact is being made by the ball but you also hear the pins scatter. There are different variations of the ball hitting the pins to accommodate the user's preferences. They vary in tempo and amplitude. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg. Great to add some fun to a soundscape.

I really needed something that sounded like a group of horses galloping in the distance and couldn't find anything. So i busted out my zoom h6 and set it on my futon comforter and then just tapped my fingertips on the surface right next to the stereo mics. Then i put that track in premiere and made four layers, all offset to get different rhythm and i thought it turned out pretty good so wanted to share it.

I forgot i was recording! in one and a half hour. . . This is from that recording. It's an vcv-rack patch generating suspense music or call it anticipation music. Is there a good word for it. Maybe you interpret the sound in a different way? some sort of back ground noise anyway. . . ?the sound is time stretched, eqed, compressed and i added a little reverb.

This is a knife i use often at my workplace cutting different materials. It’s called an ofla knife- they’re pretty small and can retract and come back out again with a drag of a switch. This is me dragging that switch up and down, slowly for each individual tick and then all at once. I know in this recording the background isn’t completely silent, i’ll try to reupload a recording when it is at some point.
