A strangely sinister english male voice on a megaphone telling everyone to go back into their homes with a scary giggle.

Two minutes to midnight. Recorded with olympus ws-852 digital pocket recorder on my front porch where the only noise is coming from the neighbors. No audio effex used at all, this recording is pure.

Big reverb and heavy distortion. Very indy/alt rock type of riff. Some extra effects at the end of each chord. Probably good idea to break it up into smaller sections as the end goes a little crazy with some not so over the top playing and noise.

A coincident pair of mics placed next to a cage the mics were electro voice re510 through a shure fp24 into a tascam hdp2. The original recording was 24bit 96k, downcovertedto 16k at 48k. I cannot get the stinking birds to really sing, yet theydo it normally and drive me crazy. Some of them may die today.

When my band was allowed to record after-hours in an industrial space in west oakland, i took the opportunity to show up early to record some of the machines in action. This is a recording of an industrial embroidery machine as it sews on logos to eight sweatshirts. Unfortunately my recording of the glass etching machine in another part of the building didn't turn out as useful--it sounded pretty crazy. Glitchy robot scream, made for a game with robot enemies. I made it by using audacity's "import raw data" function to import random program files which creates all kinds of crazy noises. (all the sounds in this pack came from the files of an emulated ps2 game. ) i then put a vocoder on the sounds i found to make them sound even more robotic.

This is a casio sk-1 i did around a year ago or so from reeds book plus a video out and 18 on board rca jacks with another 25 pin dpi that can run through a breakbox. Noise and bent sounds as usual. In short: for a horror game when a monster spots the player. I made it so that it would "turn on" when the monster spots the player in a horror game i was working on, i got bored and deleted the game. I guess you can use it for a similar purpose. It's very trash but it's the first audio i've ever made, plus i had a "crazy weird insanity" audio in mind, so it kinda fits what i wanted.

Where we live the fireworks laws are pretty lax so people go crazy with them. Here is a recording from the day before independence day (yesterday) as people were blowing up part of their arsenal ahead of time. In a few hours i will be recording as things get really crazy. Our neighbors on three sides will light off the thousands of dollars of fireworks that they have purchased. Many of them are illegal (purchased from indian reservations) so there will be some big booms. Back to this recording. It is recorded with my "fake head" binaural setup, hanging from a tripod at the crest of the garage roof. There is a tree a few feet away and a light breeze is rustling the leaves. Here is a bit of a timeline:. 0:00 kids across the street light off a few fireworks4:05 the neighbors across the street were having a party, and the guests begin to leave. 6:30 the guest of honor honks and yells "love you" as she drives away. 8:00 the kids across the street go inside. Now all you hear are fireworks in the distance, all over town. 32:17 someone lights what must be a million firecrackers. They continue until 51:20 - 19 minutes!!!.
