Hair dryer blowing air out, could be used for a vacuum cleaner sound too. Recorded dyson's supersonic hair dryer with zoom h5.

I am a non-smoker and usually never cough. I hate people who are always coughing. I could go days on end without needing to cough. My lungs are in great shape. I am faking it here.

School kids recorded in the cafeteria during their lunch hour. It was recorded using an iphone (extemporaneous, hence the low quality), converted from the m4a to ogg, but it could certainly pass as a background sound.

This is a sound effect by someone else, but the sound effect had a creative commons 0 liscense so i could legally use it. I just modified it so it can sound like someone took of their coat and threw it on the floor.

I discovered freesound thanks to my music acustics teacher and i tried it this morning. I think it's very interesting and funny so i created a file on audacity software and i could load it here: it's my chihuahua's bark.

A recording of a starting eurocopter ec-135. Distance ca. 20m. Due to noisy surroundings i could only use the sound starting from idle to takeoff. Recorded with the stereo mic of my h6-zoom, handheld.

Styrofoam on a carpet. Using the stereo-effect on a h4nsp. The sound was recorded in august 2016 in an old industrial hulk in leipzig, 10 metres below the surface. Because there were some raves now and then, there was a lot of stuff i could use for creating sounds.

Tiny waves lapping the quartzite pebbles (1-2cm diameter) on a beach at lake pedder. Recorded 21 march 2019, 3am, with the internal mics on a marantz pmd661. For noise reduction, capture a noise print around 0. 09. Exceptionally quiet night, no wind, no other sounds. The gordon river power station was 20 kms distant. Other mechanical equipment or vehicles greater then 50 kms. I could just perceive the electrical hum from the station (or from transmission lines), and so could my partner, but i can’t hear it on the recording. See also "tiny waves lapping #1".

I tried and tried and tried to find a genuine audio recording of a sandstorm, but all i could find were synthetic mixes. What genuine audio i did find always had some other noise or voice polluting the audio. So, i found a couple of great wind audio recordings, some wind rustling a dry corn field, and some low earth rumbling and combined all of that to create the closet approximation i could to the authentic sandstorm audio i was able to find but couldn't use. I hope others find this audio useful in any of your projects. Feel free to use with no worries.

Foosball table game recorded with a zoom h6 in stereo-48khz/24bit, could not found a sound like this so i recorded it for you to use it free. (recorded in an empty child's party salon so room tone is present as well as some voices).

I let both the vco (intellijel μvcf) and the uoki-toki polivoks vcf play a little melody, the same. The vcf is in self-oscillation and cv1 at 100%. It does not track perfectly, but could be useful.

This was taken in the watami restaurants off the taibei railway station at the christmas seasons. The dinner time had half finished, the conversations over the meals could vaguely been heard upon the background of the christmas music.

I tried to create a frequency response by means of eq matching, in the sound of the original tapes, and with the same sound using the optigan going to the sidechain of the eq matching, this was the most faithful i could do.

Just a purring cat, recorded with a zoom h6 with the x/y mic. It starts out a little soft and then gets more bass heavy as the cat approaches the mic. Unfortunately there is some audible cloth movement, but i guess it could still be of good use.

I thought i had a diy contact mic somewhere, but i did not find it. But i found another thing. A contact mic for an instrument tuner. But (again) it had a 1/4 inch mono plug. That meant i could not connect it to my computer mic in. But (i know) what if i plug it in to my modular synth. Surprise. . . Then i could add a little filter, pan and spring reverb. So clamped the mic on to my external 3,5 inch disc drive and recorded. This is my submission to dare 51.

Cycling the pump action on a shotgun. The audio is very generic and could even be used for a pistol action cycle. Recorded on a blue yeti microphone through audacity at 16bit 44000hz. Attribution appreciated but not required.
