Fireball explosion with natural rolling decay and delayed single reflection. The pyrotechnic explosion took place in the forest at el tejon ranch in late march 2013 during a film shoot. The sound was recorded using a schoeps mk41 supercardioid condenser microphone running into a sound devices 442/722 mixer/recorder combo. I cleaned up extraneous background noise using pro tools and izotope rx. Enjoy!.

Wrote/recorded a clean guitar, simple bass, simple drum loops at 130-bpm. Recorded in kanawha state forest in west virginia on a dr70r with shotgun mic. Some clean up and noise reduction with rx8 in reaper. It's a small mountain creek but it's pretty prominent in the sound, i'm about 10 feet away. I also have a version where i bring down creek noise, check the profile.

Today i was cleaning the house on a leisurely sunday, and came across a piece of thicker paper by my printer. When i picked it up to put it in recycling, it was rather loud. There have been many times on jobs where i needed such a sound, and thought it would be a good asset to record and share. Hopefully it comes in handy for others needing this element. Recorded in stereo with 2 at-2020s. Lots of variety in handling and plenty to pull from. Enjoy!.

Stopped in a tiny museum in kansas and the curator turned on the 1900s edison photograph for me and let me record the classic sound of music with all the hums and associated scratches. Car horn honking like a guy stuck in traffic (which i know all too well). Two versions of irritation. Recorded using a audio technica at891r with a scarlett solo preamp then cleaned up using izotope rx8 advanced to remove some ambient noise. No need to credit if you don't want to. An interesting sound from a house we were staying at. The outdoor exhaust for the clothes dryer made this jet like noise, particularly when the microphone was moved around it. There are some bird and mower noises in the background, but this really just wants to be the basis for some cool sound design jets, whooshes, turbines, etc. Play with it and make something cool. Faucet in a metal sink turned on and off. Hands are run through the water to simulate hand washing. Recorded in a tokyo apartment with a coincidental mic pair placed at a 90 degree angles it's basically a raw recording, but i ran an ssl hpf with the cutoff set at about 28 hz to take out the rumble of the train passing by. . . Since the apartment was near the station, the train sound was unavoidable. But if this is used in a larger mix, it probably won't be noticeable.

This is a small clip which i made playing the original video on my laptop and recording it on my cell phone. A short segment as i played along with the ramones' song: my brain is hanging upside down. I recorded it on my roland td-9 module and edited it in sony sound forge and sony vegas. The bass drum was generated using absynth 3, as well as the other instruments that follow it. Within the software, i simply just generated a quick drum patch (for myself), which i manipulated over and over till i got several varations. I just happened to choose this one for this loop. General techno-trance and suitable for almost any genre in electronica. The loop is set at standard 120bpm for easy manipulation.

A scary, weird sound effect of me saying "huh?" and that word being dragged out.
