Recorded at 6:30am on saturday 21 july 2012 in black hill conservation park, located on the edge of the city of adelaide. Dawn breaks with a morning chorus of magpies, new holland honey eaters, wattle birds, and more. Traffic can be heard in the distance as the city wakens.

This is a sample of a classic (diy) dubsiren build by me. Its a squarewave synth modulated with a squarewave lfo. The sample is dry. Add delay and some chorus, reverb, (resonant) (auto) filter or so to get the typical dubby soundsystem style.

My 1st recording with my marantz pmd661, with enhanced preamplifiers by oade brothers. I used my two matching stereo samson co2 microphones with the input level on 7. Recording made around 9pm at night on august 1st, 2014 in a small midwestern town. The chorus of cicadas and tree frogs is very steady on this one.

This recording features, what many would say is the most gorgeous bird-song in the midwest---the flute-like wood-thrush. Recording made in july in deep forst; a plane is lazily droning overhead, and the ever-present chorus of summer insects is heard. Made with zoom h4n using the internal microphones.

A short clip of of a screaming electric guitar lick i made on my 1982 gibson les paul custom with marshall amp. It was recorded on a multi track music program, i then added chorus effect, the microphone was hooked directly to the desktop computer with reverb from a 50 watt marshall amp. This lick was played by me on my guitar.

Fum, a 16th or 17th Century Catalan Christmas carol, here performed by the chorus of U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own", led by Colonel Thomas Rotondi, Jr. (Leader & Commander) and CSM Debra L. McGarity (Command Sergeant Major) c. 2010. The somewhat idiosyncratic arrangement appears to be created by the Army staff.

Thunder sound synthesized from a randomly generated tone, and processed (in audacity) with: multivoice chorus, harmonic sythesizer, tons of gverb, 2-second delay, and fade-in/fade-out where appropriate. Again, this is my very first attempt, i'll keep trying to make more realistic samples like this. Until then, tell me if you liked this (rate it, comment).

O unerschöpfter Schatz der Güte (Recitative: A) 20:55 6. Er ist das Heil und selig Licht (Chorale) 21:37 Soloists: Alto: Ingeborg Danz Tenor: Mark Padmore Bass: Peter Kooy Performed by Collegium Vocale Gent under the direction of Philippe Herreweghe. Recorded by Harmonia Mundi France in 1998. "Bach composed the cantata 'Mit Fried und Freud' for the feast of the Purification on 2 February 1725. Here, the opening chorus is in 12/8 time, which is almost always associated with a peaceful, pastoral mood. Here it is the expressive key of E minor, which, raised to monumental heights, will re-appear in the opening chorus of the St. Matthew Passion. The chorale is sung in long note values by the soprano accompanied by the lower voices of the chorus in densely textured imitation, and which takes up the serenely elegiac movement of the instrumental ritornello theme. Only twice does Bach interrupt the pattern: at the words 'sanft und stille' all the voices drop into a sudden 'piano' and even the lively rhythm of the vocal part gives way to a more tranquil measure. The contrast of the 'forte' on the next words, 'wie Gott mir verheißen hat' is all the more convincing in relation to the preceding words. Once again Bach leads the vocal part into a quiet, even tenor for the final line of the chorale, 'der Tod ist mein Schlaf worden.' Sound created from using the rings of saturn as a spectral source to a series of filters. When a 1 pixel high image of the rings is extracted it looks like a spectrogram (original: https://en. Wikipedia. Org/wiki/file:saturn%27s_rings_dark_side_mosaic. Jpg). The ring spectrogram was divided into three color planes, and the color intensity values were transformed into resonant filter cutoff frequencies. In essence one filter unit (per color plane) has 256 sounds playing simultaneously. The individual filters are placed along the x-axis so, that the stereo image consists of 256 steps from left to right. In this sound of the series the spectrum was compressed to a range of 20 - 1000 hz. A small variation in certain divider factor per color plane is introduced for a slight chorus like effect.

I drew this thx deep note imitation in photosounder by drawing several lines with the white spray with the harmonics modifier. I first had a look at the original thx sound and tried to reproduce what i saw. The final chorus sounds bad because it's hand-drawn, so the right notes aren't hit plus the lines aren't straight so the pitches keep moving around a bit.

In the range of three octaves, sung by me in 13 tracks. Not completely in tune. The first one is unedited sound. The second is transposed an octave lower. The third is transposed two octaves lower. In the fourth all the latter are sounded together (39 voices). The transposing makes a peculiar effect to the voice specially in the second (12 semitone) transposition.

I recorded a transformer with a guitar pickup then broadcasted it from a speaker, then re-recorded this sound, waving my mic at the speaker (like a light sabre). Add a bit of chorus and voila, it's that light sabre sound. Could be a bit more beefy, you can add some sub or something, anyhows, hope some of yous get some use out of it anyways innit???!.

I made this wonderful recording in july 2011 at about 9:00 at night on a hot, muggy july evening. This is the time of year when the insect chorus can get very, very loud. Pretty amazing volume for such small insects. The really loud ones seem to reside in the trees and not on the ground. Recorder used: zoom h4n recorder using its built-in stereo microphones.

Approx. 0650hrs, early march 2021. Put my recorder in the open bathroom window. I had to have the gain up higher than i wanted as the sparrows are down in the side garden about 30 yards away. The crow sounds closer, perhaps on our neighbour's roof. Collared doves also cooing but faint. The sound of our boiler is in the background.

My friend and i had rented a minimoog model d (c1977, not the reissue). We were jamming out some ambient-type sounds, and my mate is just getting lovely tones out the moog, going through a deluxe memory man echo/chorus/vibrato for extra analogue niceness. Listen as he goes full-on john paul jones on in the light around the 50 second mark. Fell free to use in your productions and send me a message if you do!.

I made this pad sound by starting with a traditional saw wave and mixing various effects together such as reverb and chorus. The wav file also has pre-defined loop points that can be used in samplers that support the functionality. Note: there is a slight static noise that is present when the sound is played through the freesound player on the website, however, the static is not present when played outside of the freesound audio player. Made with fl studio 11. Enjoy!.

Recorded on august 22nd 2020 using my sony pcm-10 recorder. An overnight recording going into early morning. A beautiful soundscape of a insect-laden overnight in a small midwest town. Fascinating to contemplate how, while us humans are sleeping soundly, preparing for our next day, nature, is performing this nightly chorus, under cover of darkness. Gentle, drowsy insects gently rocking the world. Washing over the world with the re-birth that night brings.

There's two male ghosts, one of them more loud and more low pitched than second. They sing along some song without words and screams, they're just wail and howl. Ideally can be placed in any place related somehow to ghosts(abandoned home, castle, graveyard) in some suspense moments or as constant sound on background(though, i should notice, that the sound isn't seamless). I recorded it with my own voice, audacity's delay effect on every of two tracks(every track has one voice - logically).

This was originally a friend's cat meowing but it has been processed heavily. First, it was put through a granulizer and the pitch was dropped -2 octaves. The sample was then panned l-r using automation, and bitcrushed. Lastly, to get a slight detuned feel, i added a chorus effect. This sample sounds even better with some convolution or hall reverb but i left this effect out since it's usually a effect users want total control over. The end result is a strange, alien sounding noise.

I used 2 low frequency operators (lfo) on a low pass filter (24db) on a generic pink noise sound with medium resonance settings, one of these lfo's was manipulating the other one with a random ramp, to make it sound more diverse and realistic. I put an aditional long envelope on the q (resonance) also, not to mention some chorus at a low tempo to make it kinda binaural with a stereo delay at a short time setting. . . I hope you enjoy it!.

Free to use without restricition. No attribution required. 50 seconds of ghostly wails over a dark sub bass drone with wide stereo reverb. Produced by using two old school analog synths, a cs-80 and a dx7. All chorus, phaser and reverb settings were manipulated within the synths. An external hi-pass eq plugin was added in order to cut off the subs at 30hz. These old analog synths produce frequencies way below the tolerance of your monitors; thus the need for a bass cutoff, not to mention to also prevent involuntary bowel leakage xd.

This very happy bird-song was recorded in late winter/very early spring of 2012. It was a cold, partly sunny morning after a cold night, yet this red male cardinal was singing proud and loud. Recorded in a small town, with some traffic sounds in the back. Also, if you listen close enough you will hear some starlings in the background with their waking up chorus. Recorded using the handy/zoom h4n recorder and a samson c0-2 microphone mounted inside my home-built parabolic reflector.

Rumor has it that the core of the original thx-sound actually was programmed in csound in case you want to recreate the original. A google search will give you the right pointer. Fixed high-pass version without the dc and normalized. Individually packed for freshness.

A stereo field recording of hundreds of several species of frogs at spring in raleigh, nc. Recorded at a very large concrete stormwater retention pond. The tall concrete walls made a nice effect acoustically. There are a few other faint sounds such as my dog walking around, a bit of wind and a car door as the pond was next to a parking garage. But, the frogs definitely dominate. I recorded this with an olympus ls-11.

Good King Wenceslaus, is an 1853 English Christmas carol, set to the melody of "Tempus adest floridum" a thirteenth-century Latin carol for spring. It is here performed by the chorus of U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own", led by Colonel Thomas Rotondi, Jr. (Leader & Commander) and CSM Debra L. McGarity (Command Sergeant Major) c. 2010. However, only verses 1, 3, and 5 are performed, giving it a somewhat disjointed storyline, which is very unfortunate.

An early morning recording made at 7:30am on sunday april 2nd, 2017 in a large field bordered by heavy woods. . . . Beyond the woods is a large lake and, with headphones on, you might be able to hear the sound of boats on the lake. It was sunny, but, a typical cold early spring day. Temp was 43 degrees with a slight breeze making it feel like 37. But, that did not stop the birds from putting on a chorus. Recording made with a sound devices 702 and the amazing, audio-technica bp4025 stereo microphone. Enjoy this shot of nature waking up.
