Made some chicken alfredo and as i was slapping the noodles with the wooden spoon it sounded great! works for some gross effects or if someone gets slapped you can supplement your slapping noise with some moisture for some comedic value ;). I wanted to record the fountain sound as well, but the fountain had already been turned off. You can hear some bird, rustling of the wind in the trees and traffic in the distance. Recorded with a pair of mics at 120 degrees.

A stereo wav recording from a zoom h1n during a thunderstorm today. One siren picks up followed by several more producing a convincing stereo image. I have done a basic bass roll-off, but have left it otherwise untouched. If you have a spectral editor you can probably clean out more of the noise, but i couldn't do so and keep the sirens sounding good.

Recorded under a long, dark, low bridge on my local canal. Me laughing. Slowed by 5% in audacity. The result? -a chilling, maniacal, evil laugh. Short stabs on a scale c,d,e. . . To. . G,a,b. Fm synthesis. One sinewave oscillator output gets mashed by a another that's outputting a triangular wav. The oscillators are fed back into themselves and each other and 40 voices unison added to create a ubiquitous growl/yoy sound. On large speakers, or a decent pair of buds, the sinewave osc fundmental can be heard as sub-bass. Flstudio was used to host the synthmaker vsti oscillators and render the wav file.

Inspired by ben croshaw's point 'n' click horror adventure games, i decided i'd try and see if i can make my own creepy whispers using audacity. This is basically some whispered lines and some really low-volume screams superimposed on one another, with some of these lines reversed. I made this on march 2012 and was recorded on my netbook's slightly damaged built-in mic.

I made this by playing a piccolino recorder and then adding reverb to it. There was a loop ready-made in garage-band that i used as a model but then changed it because i didn't want it to loop. I added flourishes so that it ends. This is the intro for an audio book i am recording but since i created the sound, i can share it. I would be happy if anyone else wanted to use it. No need to give credit etc.

This sound was recorded with a cm25 mkii condenser microphone, connected to a focusrite scarlett interface. The daw in which it was recorded is ardour and a guitar effects vst was used to add some distortion and delay. It was created with a photoresistor and a led lamp. The microphone was placed pointing towards one of the edges of the monitor, so as not to emphasize the treble and to balance more with the mids. Experimental recording idea i had in summer 2017, i buried two contact microphones half a foot deep in a rock beach and captured the noise ambience picked up in the rocks, as well as the tide coming over the microphones eventually. Here are the bells of our local town church of eglisau in eglisau switzerland as they strike 12 noon on august 23 2019. At the end of the recording you can just hear the children playing at the nearby school. 96khz 24bit stereo.

A mid-sized waterfall flowing into a gentle stream. This is near the road by the grand prismatic spring in yellowstone. The timbre of this smaller fall is higher than the roar of the large waterfall. And you can just make out the gurgling of the stream. But, in general, this kind of thing sounds a bit like static. Sorry it's so short, there was a lot of wind and people talking.
