Found this ancient mr. Coffee making these creepy sounds whilst brewing. I could get some decent "coffee brewing" sounds out of it, but the moaning and heavy breathing is what makes it. Recorded at high bit rate, so there's plenty there to manipulate into a sucking chest wound death rattle or whatever you're into. This is the sound of setting a ceramic mug on the metal plate of a keurig coffee maker, hitting "brew" and letting it do its magic. Recorded with a boom microphone onto a p2 card via a panasonic hvx200 digital video camera.

The coffee machine at the office where i work makes a lot of noise during the 30 seconds it takes for it to brew one cup of regular coffee. The recording was made with my h2 an early morning in january 2009.

As my home brew beer is fermenting, co2 is piped off through an air lock. This sound is actually the bubbles of gas being released into a container of water but it does sound like drips. Recorded at 48k on a tascam dr-40 and sennheiser mic. I've added a bit of reverb.

Coffee at the cottage. Started a olympus ls-10 + cheap old sony microphone, then proceeded to load the auto-drip coffee machine with coffee grounds, 4 cups of water and hit the brew button. Then, took out the old toaster, put a leftover waffle from yesterday's breakfast in, and toasted while the coffee was brewing. Various sounds accompanied with this ritual. . . Coffee maker and toaster sounds. Unscrewing and replacing the top to the nutella jar. Squeaky old oak floors of this 90 year old house making noise while i walk around. Water running, old clock on the wall ticking etc.

These are the noises that accompany waiting in line at sassyass coffee, a local coffee shop in downtown charleston. During the recording you can hear an enjoyable interaction with regular customers toward the end, and general espresso noises and small talk for the rest.

Filling up beans in the grinder, grinding 18 grams of coffee, tamp it. Then i preheat the cup, flush before adding the portafilter and extracting, brewing the double espresso, while foaming some oat milk. Checking that there are no bubbles in the oat milk and then pouring a slowsetta pattern into the cup. Machine: bezzera bz10grinder: eureka mignon.

I saw this huge storm brewing, so i put my laptop next to an open window, thinking that i might record a nice atmospheric recording of rain and light thunder, and i caught this thing, no more than 500m away. I had the sensitivity turned all the way up, and the microphone i am using isn't the best, but someone might get a use of it :).

I stood quite sheltered from the wind, above me the rustling trees from the breeze that was just blowing. In the distance a dog was barking. Nice stereo effect :-). The recording is edited. For a podcast project i needed some coffee related sounds so i recorded our techni-vorm moccamaster, filter coffee machine as it brewed a full pot. Our version has a metallic thermos jug rather than the standard glass jug. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution.
