One friday night, me and my partner were eating dinner, and we both heard a click. She perks up, "what was that?" and i said "the dryer is running, probably something in it" and she goes "no it was inside" (our dryer is like a back door outside porch kinda deal). I noticed it came from inside as well, in the kitchen, but mentally shrugged it off because lasagna. But now i know she heard it inside too, so i walk in the kitchen where the sound came from and don't see anything moving or on. I took note of where my cats were in case anything was being chewed on: one in bed, one on the couch, they aren't chewing on anything or are even near the clicking sound, so back to dinner. About 45 minutes later, dinner is wrapped up, my partner is asleep and i start turning off all the lights. When i turn the kitchen lights off, there is a light that stays on in the corner. I have a car battery recharger there: it has usb ports in case ya lose power, charger cables, and a flashlight attached on the side. . . . Which is on. I turn it off: exact same click that i heard earlier. Do i have a ghost?.

This is a recording of a homeless man in west oakland pushing his shopping cart down the street, stopping to rummage, and saying hello to a friend. A uniden phone recorded with a consumer camera with built in microphone, (sony-cybershot). This was listened to on a television set and it sounds like the actual thing! on the computer it doesnt sound anything like the real thing. You're welcome and good luck using this sound.

This sound was made by looping a snare and speeding it up to make a pitch, bc pitch is allegedly just fast rhythm. I made this on july 18 2019 and then forgot about it, so it might not have been a snare that i looped. But it was either a garageband default sound or something i recorded. I was filling a giant plastic bucket in the kitchen full of water using the hose attachment. I tried let the water hit the bucket in different ways to change the acoustics of the sound over time. If you can use this, go nuts - i'd love to hear anything you can do with it.

I'm making a spooky scary video game and needed a "behind you" whisper to play over the shoulder of the player. Didn't find anything so i made it myself by recording several whispers of "behind you" and then applying effects in audacity. Hope this helps someone. Go ahead and use this for whatever. Generative modular acid line sequenced with my own custom script that is specialized for non-quantized sort of strings of notes. I mangled the envelope quite a bit though so it just sounds more swingy than anything i guess. Not sure what the bpm would be. Would be better if it were cut up for one-shot sounds maybe.

This is a set of drum set interpretations of the baião pattern. Kit used was a 16" kick, dampened, but not stuffed to sound more like a surdo, a 14" ludwig snare, one riveted ride cymbal and hi hats. Simply recorded with a single sm57 but they are clear sounding loops. I'd be interested in hearing anything you use them in :).

Disclaimer: this may be loud. Check your volume. This sound is an experiment i did for a short film my crew and i are working on. I wanted to see if i could make a warning effect like the civil defense messages that play on the radio for storms and other emergencies, so i recorded my voice, and pitched it down, equalized it, put it through a high pass filter and lo and behold, i think it sounds pretty darn close. I then coupled it with a couple alert tones from my local noaa / nssl station and this sound was born. This effect could be used for an apocalyptic scenario or civil unrest, riots, looting, or anything else you desire. Not required, but it would be cool to hear if you use it for anything. Enjoy!.
