Whooshing sound, rather like the sound a stick makes when you whip it through the air. I made the sound accidentally by moving my zoom h4 fast through the air and quite liked the results. If you do us it, i'd be curious to know how, in the comments.

Using beepbox. Co, i accidentally made a sound similar to my fm radio being unable to pick up a station. I keep my radio in my basement, so sometimes it can't pick up some frequencies right away, producing this noise.

I opened the door and stood in the doorway to record the wind. You hear leaves rustling on the floor and every now and then the wind accidentally gets into the mic as i don't have a wind screen. You hear a little howling as well as some squeeking noise through it.

I copied the gem breath sound effect from the original ex and pt tv series. I modified a noise i made with phaser. I had accidentally not known that i should set the pitch-shift in delay to off.

This is a short clip of a chainsaw starting up, idling for a few seconds, then being revved up to cut a small log for a few more seconds before idling again. Contains idling and revving of a single-stroke engine. Recorded accidentally with an iphone in a pocket, so it's slightly muffled.

This is the sound of attempting to uncork a bottle of champagne with a saber, but, after a few practice hacks that hit the glass neck of the bottle, accidentally cutting off the bottle at the neck. Champagne explodes out and drips onto the ground, which is grassy and dry. Recorded with a boom microphone onto a p2 card via a panasonic hvx200 digital video camera.

I accidentally made this in audacity adjusting the tempo of a chime sound effect, but maybe it has uses elsewhere. Sounds to me like a game show "wrong answer" sound effect or a magic spell that fails to cast.

A few seconds of mistaken recording in a car. I believe it's radio commentary of a sports game of some kind, but you can't tell what the man is saying.

A cool and very much slowed down guitar note, recorded not long before my guitar broke (it was old and it cracked). I accidentally made it and i thought it sounded cool i guessit can be used for a jarring moment or a suspenseful sound or something like that. Im sad rn (´。＿。｀).

Something i accidentally got while messing around with voxal voice changer by nch software. It was a background noise of my mom closing a door, and i decided to put it in reverse and i couldn't help but notice that it sounded like a low "whoosh" transition. So i opened it in wavepad and added echo + reverb and voila.

A science fiction, space age sliding door noise made for my sci fi sitcom accidentally reckless. I think this one was made from me making a 'tsch' noise but then with lots of other things done to it afterwards. Scenario: dog is given a treat on a tempered-glass dinner plate, which he licks clean. Plate remains on the no-nap outdoor carpet, unnoticed, because it isn't terribly important that it be picked up right away. In the meantime the wrapped-up power cord to a shop vac falls to the floor, right next to it. As i walk by i accidentally kick the electrical plug, striking the plate. Woww gotta record that. . .

Some sound i accidentally made while recording something with my webcam mic. If i recall this was a sound i made after sipping some water. However, because of my webcam mic's lo-fidelity, it ended up sounding like a great menu accept sound for a game.

Urban rooster from portland, or calls at 0:01, 1:20, 3:08, and 5:25 with an array of sounds in between: airplanes overhead, cars driving by, assorted bird chirps and caws, and even some wind boom-noise to play with. An accidental bump of the mic at 0:08 (sorry) should be the only major blemish in an otherwise funny first field-recording.

The sound of a sword being withdrawn (with some difficulty) from a sheath, and then accidentally being dropped and hitting the ground. Also sounds like metal scraping metal. I was playing around trying to create a different sound when i accidentally created this sound which reminded me of a rocket flying by. I thought it might be useful and uploaded it. I kept it a bit longer so you can edit it into a loop or fade it out to make it seem the rocket flies away =). Made with fl studio with the free firebird vst plugin.

I was trying to make some floaty meditation type music like people use for hypnotherapy and yoga and stuff but accidentally made something fractionally too menacing. To me it sounds like something you might have in the background of a scene where viewer is contemplating an unexpected cosmic vastness or an ancient alien artefact or something otherwise mindblowing but also potentially existentially threatening.

I accidentally sneezed while testing audio levels but it happened to be self-contained with the right volume for an isolated sound effect! recorded on my new blue yeti nano with noise reduction applied. I wasn't really prepared when it happened so there might be some minor clicking/noise and i couldn't really remove it. This is a foghorn-like sound that i created using an accidentally recorded poot from a friend. I stretched the sound bite a few times while lowering the pitch, added a couple different reverb effects, and then finished it with some parametric eq, raising the bass, and using a low pass filter to cut out the high frequencies. If you would like the original poot sound, i have also uploaded it as fart sound 1.

While messing around in audacity i accidentally made this. I generated dial sounds and g-verb'd it. I then put a high pass filter on it and paulsteached it. And made this. The breathing sound wasn't there in the original. But when i paulstreached it again. It just. . . Happened. I uploaded this because i thought i should share this. A compilation of accidental recordings or recordings of terrible quality i made, with the pops and crackles and interesting parts all together. A sample that was made completely by accident. I was recording outside my local park and trying to capture the bird calls (with a semi-successful effort - too much motorway noise is a bit of a bummer) one morning and aimed my uchó pro at the ground as i stood on a sludgey leaves and wet sticks with the input too high - overdriving it but also somehow making a gore sound effect. When i imported it to reaper, time-shifting it - i spotted the unique flavor of crunchiness and wetness it gave.

Plucking the rim of an empty wine glass with my finger. Recorded a bunch of samples then isolated the ones i liked into this file. Left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. While all the samples were initially recorded at 16-bit 44100hz, some of the later ones compiled into this wav were accidentally saved at 8-bit and have gathered some noise as a result. All samples recorded using a blue yeti microphone. Used audacity's noise removal filter to to remove background noise. Attribution appreciated but not required.

I accidentally came up with this sound when i was remixing one of my favorite songs on audacity. It sounds like a whole bunch of computer software and techy stuff sparking, beeping and crackling. Would be great for a movie introduction if it was overlayed with soundtrack. A rifle being dropped on the floor 3 times. Very metallic-y sounding drop sound with tons of bass. This one was sort of a happy accident. I was recording some ak foley with an airsoft gun i had when i accidentally dropped it. The sound it made turned out so good that i ended up using it for this. I actually really like how this turned out. Crediting me isn't required if you decide to use my sound, but it would be greatly appreciated if you do!.

I found two melodies in gis_sweden's excellent "you deserve it - friday randomness ii"http://freesound. Org/people/gis_sweden/sounds/362508/. And quantized them into a 92 bpm 4/4 thing. Each melody is presented panned, with and without a beat, then simultaneously. It's sort of an accidental counterpoint. I also messed up his nice analog sound into some harsh digital junk. There's a lot of high frequency energy here so watch it, and apologies to mr. Fletcher, mr. Munson and their daughter, curve.

Got a can of sriracha peas for my birthday. Accidentally plucked the pull-tab. Sounded good. Made everyone pause what was on tv so i could pluck it a bunch. Ate about 3-4 peas. I don't like sriracha. Much less on dry peas. My stomach got upset. Those few peas colored my burps for about an hour. The can lid was the real present all along. Incidentally captured: chair squeaks (funnily in time with the plucking), "hurry up", "(he's) documenting the sound", chuckling, "is that good enough?".

Recording of traditional sneaker with hard rubber sole stepping down on glasses on hardwood floor. Moderate room tone present. First takes are extremely near to glasses on floor, then followed by takes done about a meter away and at waist height. Glasses used were a pair of old metal framed earhook with polymer type prescription lens and an all plastic frame "blue light reducing" pair with plastic lens. Recorded on a tascam dr-05 linear pcm recorder around 11pm on 5/20/17.

Created in flstudio 11 with ni massive, flstudio effector, reverb, compression and eq. The note track is made by me for no good reason - i just thought it sounded pretty. *there is, now, a longer version on my harddrive.

This sound was the result of a scary accident. I was looking at the view in the webcam of an open doorway leading into a dark hallway in my house, when suddenly this haunting feedback faded in and looped repeatedly, until i pulled the volume down. It was unexpected, and quite unnerving. I had to laugh about it once i realized what had happened. But that first moment had me expecting some ghostly apparition to come in from the darkness. Anyhow, it's just an accidental feedback loop. I've had it in my archives for about 20 years now. I thought it might be useful to someone else. Enjoy!.

This is the ambience i created for my sci-fi sitcom accidentally reckless of a dropship of some kind approaching a battlefield (and certain death). The bare bones was created from a field recording of the x-1 bus going down attercliffe road towards sheffield city centre, during a period in 2017 when they were constantly resurfacing the stretch that goes past the swingers club, resulting in the bone shaking rattling sounds you can hear. I then layered on some laser and rocket noises (already uploaded) and some engine type sound effects and shuttle flypast effects that i don't think i've uploaded yet. Zip twisting mechanism sound, then a drop glug sound. Also sound like a bottle glug. Use examples: you can use this in a number of ways if you edit it. 1. Parking meter. 2. Edit/cut the sound so that it sounds like you are using a drink vending machine. 3. Use the end glug sound as bottle being put down. Quite simply a recording of me screaming in a humorous way (if you're looking for a scream sound effect for a project with a serious tone, i doubt this one will be suitable). Even though i'm a woman, i have a feeling this sound could be used for a male character too, probably one with a voice that's not too deep. I recorded this by mistake when i was just 14! me and my sister had just been recording something on my mp3 player, then when we'd finished, i accidentally pressed record again. I don't know why, but i responded by doing a silly scream before pressing the button to stop recording! weird reaction, i know. I was probably just trying to make her laugh. I kept the very short recording ever since and in more recent years, i showed it to a friend who found it absolutely hilarious! i realised this was a such a gem of a scream that i simply had to upload it as my first ever contribution to this wonderful site i've been using for years!. I've edited out one second of silence that preceded the scream in the original version of the file. Although it's not essential because i'm releasing this into the public domain, i'd love to hear in the comments about what you use this sound for :).

I made this sound in september 2003 - i used a fairlight mfx 3 - a direct descendant of the first sampler ever made - and the best ever to this day editing software for ground breaking features and functions. Clip based eq and level which you could cross fade between made the use of automation almost redundant in precise to picture editing. It also had a unique alternative jog function. You could loop 1 frame or so as you chose of sound at the orginal pitch which made it easy to find transient points. I then 'grind' the play head over a solo'd sound and play this into a reverb unit. I have many of these accidental experiments and one day i shall make the fairlight pack!. Until then enjoy this alien - from mars with love :). Ps - you can do this experiment today! i found that i can use sound flower as an out put in audio finder. If you open a sample in the sample editor - you can recreate the fairlight jpg by grabbing the playback head in play. You may then route sound flower thru an input channel and get some unusual effects that are difficult to achieve. . If you can improve on this method let me know!.
