I was in my room with my blue yeti microphone and i noticed that i can make a sort of whistle/shrill with my teeth. Edited with audacity. A space-ship laser firing sound with a retro-y 8-bit effect. My work, feel free to use in any way however you'd like. To make this, i used a synth in cubase to get the basic laser sound, then exported to garageband where i applied and tweaked the bitcrusher effect to give it the 8-bit effect.

This is a tone that i generated using my electric fender strat through one of my vintage amplifiers in my studio. A science fiction, space age sliding door noise made for my sci fi sitcom accidentally reckless. I think this one was made from me making a 'tsch' noise but then with lots of other things done to it afterwards. I think it worked ok (much better than than the one i made out of me making 'zzzz' noises.

This is me playing the ancient (very rare) notes which bach created being really drunk. I'm a classics master, so i worked really hard to play it perfectly just as the note sheet says. Feel free to use anywhere, it's classic!(created with care using ableton, grand piano and 2-octave keyboard).

Two sustained voice samples i subsequently pitch shifted and layered for an ambient work (to achieve an 80's choir pad effect). The key is almost in middle c, but slightly off. . . Because i can't sing. The second, lower voice sample was recorded extremely close to the mic to achieve clipping; i wanted to get a buzzy, boomy sound out of it.

Left the lid of my top loading freezer open, you can hear the hum of the motor and also the crackle of inside the freezer. Messing around with a low or high pass filter can give a nice background white noise. Free for commercial and non commercial use as apart of a creative piece of work. Recorded with the zoom f4 and rode m5s.

Recorded from a balcony with 3dio professional binaural microphone in to an olympus ls-14 recorder. The microphone picked up a small cessna airplane that you can hear in the middle of the recording. The microphone did also pick up the whistle of a person. Both at the start (aprox 20 min in) and at the finish of the recording. I´m am very pleased with this recording.

I made 3 copies of each sample:a-stretch of 25% and passed in guitar cab simulatorb-lowered by 5-7 semitones and passed in a bass chorusc-passed in a very bland reverblayers and passed in the art vla2 compressor. . . I like them very much. . . Try and enjoy. . (also works with other percussive sounds).
