In farsi, for instance, i believe that the masculine gender of god is absent and is really non-specific.

This was recorded during a harsh storm here i stockholm. Harsh winds blowing thru a small forest. Details such as leaves rustling and hard stormy winds are key components in this recording. It sounds like a storm is approaching what do you think?. I honestly don't remember what i did in post. . . I think i removed alot of bass/rumble, added an expander to remove some unwanted noise to help the winds and leaves to stand out. I probably used rx to clean up some unwanted noises. Equipment:zoom h5 + sony ecm 6080s condenser mic. This was a test to see how the stereo configuration on the ecm 6080s sounded like. I really like it but i would prefer an ab configuration with 2 dpa 2011 or even 2 4060. . . I like the sound it was able to capture even if it may be a little to "centered". I probably will try to use it for my future hiking trips to capture rivers and general ambiances, if i get something special i will upload them here. Hope you like it.

A friend sent me an audio file that wasn't supported by windows media player. When opened in audacity, this is what it came out to be (but it was way louder. ) once i converted the original file into mp3, i was able to get the actual file, but i wanted to save this broken one too. The original file was her doing a vocal audition for me, so i posted the broken audio in wav form so no one could take it.

I wanted to escape the parade of our schützenfest, but suddenly i was in the middle of it. . . I was amused of the looks of these guys and how they wondered "what the hell is that grey furry in his hand?" but no-one was hero enough to ask me ;)well, the recording is a great one! but i guess i will never be that near to a marching parade again. Hopefully somehow useful for some of you!.

Recorded with a sennheiser mkh 416 (as far as i recall) through a focusrite scarlett 2i2 into cubase 6. 5 in 48khz 24 bit. The name describes what it is: eg. Dice (3) in cup on table = three dice are put in a cup which stands on a table. The sounds were all recorded by me and were to be used in a video game, but i don't think they were ever used, so here they are. Take them! use them!.

This was recorded on july 4th, 2013 in enumclaw, wa. I was not expecting the bomber to fly over and it was a tribute to one of the last surviving members (edward saylor) of the doolittle raid on tokyo on april 18th, 1942. He was in the parade too. I can just imagine the sound of hundreds flying over in ww2. There is a bit of distortion as the plane flew directly overhead. Please comment on what you will use it for. :^).

Whenever i'm bored i tend to beatbox, so i decided to multitrack myself one day in the hopes of creating a full song out of it. They just went on and on and i never heard them like this before except for maybe one or two squawking away at times. A bit of wind came up and a few background noises. Field recording of a train ride in the western outskirts of paris. I wanted to capture what passengers actually hear when they take that train. It's a bombardier regional train with diesel engine. This is simportant because it gives this particular train a distinctive acoustical fingerprint: you can hear engine bursts (a bit like a bus hitting the gas) no electrical train does that. . . It also has a nice roaring drone. Recorded with a zoom h2n in stereo x/y mode.

I recorded this with my yamaha pocketrak at the paramount theater in seattle on feb. 29th, 2016 with one track duplication. This is the applause for stewart copeland and the seattle rock orchestra. Copeland scored the music for the silent version of 'ben hur' and the show was great as you can hear from the final applause. This is the new talking traffic signal in town. I got the idea to speed it up from listening to some radio commercials where the person talks a mile a minute to cram as many words into the commercial as possible. They really are damned annoying when they do it, but i get a laugh out of my version. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak with one track duplication and edited in sony vegas. An edited version of freesound #162268 by eneaszthe intervals between the dog running are removed. It came out surprisingly well. No skipping or clipping or any of that whatsoever. As this is the very second sound effect i've ever uploaded, i could benefit from feedback. Just makes your ears hurt, doesn't it? could be great for something like a machine having a complete meltdown, or a robot going haywire. Created by taking a stock sound effect of guitar plugs being pulled and distorting, reversing, stretching, looping, adding phaser, flanger, vibrato, tremolo, i can't even remember what else, like there's no tomorrow. All done in wavepad. I also tried to make it loop, but it's up to you whether i succeeded or not.

Back again! this sound effect is of the lid of some kind of container (i don't even remember what!!) being popped on and off. This is a kind of dull, soft laser bolt or gun blast. Or perhaps just some sort of impact sound. I thought it was interesting, because what it really is made up of is the sound of me shuffling my cell phone around for a second. How it ended up sounding like this i don't know. But perhaps someone has an application for the use of this sound. Enjoy.

In short: for a horror game when a monster spots the player. I made it so that it would "turn on" when the monster spots the player in a horror game i was working on, i got bored and deleted the game. I guess you can use it for a similar purpose. It's very trash but it's the first audio i've ever made, plus i had a "crazy weird insanity" audio in mind, so it kinda fits what i wanted.

I made this little snippet in the free & open source music making application lmms. What does this suit for? i could only imagine. . . Everything from a dimension travel to someone hitting their head and tripping out into another world. It would be very fun if you left a comment on how you used this, i would be interested to hear. I was creating a kick drum sound using a model d synthesizer to see if i could and i realized the upper register had some very interesting percussive blips. I recorded starting with c or c# below middle c and upward for usable sounds and thought they might be interesting and useful for someone else as well. Please do what you want, slice and dice, these are original sounds by me from the model d and i give them freely for whatever use.

A lot of texture! yeah! even analog modular synths can create texture. . . Well not much of a surprise but i'm getting somewhere. . . !. Have to note what i have done. 1. Modulating a full wave rectifier at audio rate. Fixed modulating frequency. 2. I mix my the output of my two osc and clockmy clock divider with that and take /2 to mixer. Reverb is space hole on my zoom ms-70cdr.

I was messing around with some voice effects and somehow ended up with this growl. It sounds like a noise a dinosaur or dragon would make. Or like a clicker from "the last of us. "also, if you slow it down, it sounds like wood creaking. Let me know if it's useful for you, hope it makes for some good sound design with whatever you're doing. This is a recording i got sat outside a retro clothes shop on portobello road in london. Distant music combined with the market and people walking past creates a busy scene with the busy road that runs over the top of the market giving a nice base to fill out the recording. This sound is free to use but i'd love to see what it is used in!.

The title was what i told him. It wasn't that recent and nobody really got hurt, so why agonize? it was supposed to be just beer and chips i was serving. Shouldn't have ever repeated. Suddenly i was being handed my robe and hustled off to put it on. I guess he saw me trying to disappear into the hallway. Had to tell him something, and i wasn't really up for a war.

This sound would be suited for background atmosphere in a nightmare movie sequence, or to blast out of your windows to the neighborhood on halloween. It was created in audacity by using a piece the audio track from the end of the movie "my cousin vinny". It is the line marisa tomei says as she and vinny are driving back to n. Y. (oh my god, what a f'ing nightmare). It was then noise-reduced, pitch and tempo adjusted, reversed, and paulstretched.
