Big reverb and heavy distortion. Very indy/alt rock type of riff. Some extra effects at the end of each chord. Probably good idea to break it up into smaller sections as the end goes a little crazy with some not so over the top playing and noise.

The omnis on my humble dr-05 did a pretty good job capturing the sheer depth of zillions of people blowing stuff up together :-). You’ll hear: people having a party in the distance, a bonfire crackling on the right, a distant train blowing its whistle, and of course a lot of explosions. A couple of the big bangs clipped, but unsurprisingly, it made no audible difference. I reduced to 48khz, 24 bit and normalized to -3. 0 db. It really wakes up when you apply some eq to your liking. But i left it as is for everybody.

I tried to get a surround recording using mics, but there was a horrible street musician playing off in the distance. I thought it wouldn't be clear in the recording, but one of the mics picked him up quite well. The recording was ruined, so i did a little processing at home and came up with this freaky bit for your listening pleasure. Not sure if it's usable beyond listening, tho. . .

This is a short wavefile of really bad drums and a crying baby. To be used properly, it needs to be turned way up. This sound has a story behind it - i made this up for one purpose, and one purpose only - to temporarily blast my long-term loud neighbors into realizing that 'they' are now the victims. They "were" relentless at playing loud music continuously, and it was a hot humid day,no air-con, and i had a lot of wine. That's all it took - so i blasted them(at an amazing close range)with 200+ watts of drums'n'babies, just long enough for them to figure out that this just might continue, and that it isn't a nice sound. Bottom line - the technique was highly effective.

An eerie little tune i made in garageband for something called victors crypt!. Came up with a music structure on acoustic guitar. Did drums and added synth and brass and more to build up the atmosphere. We needed some drum cadences for julius caesar and i was unable to find any i really liked so we grabbed our orchestra drummer here at the theater and we came up with 13 different cadences for us including jfk's funeral march. Most are done on snare and then again on a single tom, easily looped for duration. They have no verb on them so you can add as you desire for your space. I used audacity to synthesize the five-tone chime made by the montreal metro's jeumont train element 41. Backstory: the train itself was an mr-63 type train modified by canron circa 1971, adding a current chopper to the train's started system. The chopper produced an 'idle' tone at around 45 hz, and as the train departed, five tones at frequencies of 90, 120, 180, 240, and 360 hz. Originally there were 3 'elements' (a set of 2 motor cars and 1 trailer car) with the jeumont-schneider current chopper (element 40, made up of cars 81-579, 80-040, and 81-580; element 41, made up of cars 81-581, 80-041, and 81-582; and element 42, made up of cars 81-583, 80-042, and 81-584). During the early 2000s refurbishments, element 40 was retired from service to provide spare parts for the other elements, which were then connected with elements of 'normal' mr-63 trains. Only the 81-579 car remains from element 40. Element 41 and element 42 were then retired in 2018 when the other mr-63 trains were retired.

I needed the sound of some keys that were put on a table. So i did the recording myself with a simple headset-mic. It's a very simple recording, hope you can work with it. The putting down was done in 3 different manners from quick to slow and picking them up again.

We do our internet at mcdonald's while having coffee and a group of kids and parents came in for a party. Also picked up some of our conversation and a little boy was pushing the 'wet floor' sign around at the beginning of the recording. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).

An imitation of an australian police siren using synthesizer and a big outdoor-style reverb. The siren consists of two oscillators, one of them loops at 4bars at 115bpm. The other is approx 14 times faster. They both move in same approximate freq range from approx f#5 up to g#6, about an octave.

So, i was messing around with audacity and made this little sound. I used a sound of me screaming (trimmed) and i messed up with the effects then kapow! it's here! xd. I really had no idea what is this but let's say it was some sort of laser though. Created with audacity.

Rooster crowing. Processed with silence at either end, because there was some random ambiance that didn't add to the recording. Not quite the cliche "cock-a-doodle-doo," but it's clean and it works. Taken at an animal sanctuary with a zoom h2 in 120* pattern.

This a sound i created for the 'scottish play' for the appearance of banquo. It is made up of sounds from freesound and field recordings of screams and sobs. It was intended to shock the audience as banquo burst through a trap door in the stage. I am happy to say the audience jumped every night.

Concrete foley performed with hands. Part of my ‘various hits’ pack - foley on concrete, metal pipes, and plastic surfaced objects in a 10 story stairwell. Recorded on iphone. Added fades, eq’s and compression for easy integration.

This night sound was recorded in south alabama in a bottom by a creek. It was recorded using a zoom h1 with the rode videomic go attached a dead cat windscreen was used. The clip was cleaned up in adobe audition cs6. The clip is edited so it can be used as a loop.

Quick flourishes of synth keys going up and down the pentatonic scale. Synth used was the korg ms 20 mini, analogue and monophonic. Subtle filtering and echo was placed on the recordings, as well as some reversing.

An entire country mansion was covered over with scaffold and sheeting to keep the rain off. Visitors were allowed to climb up the (many) metal stairs to an observation platform. I asked the helpful guide to be quiet whilst i recorded this odd environment! he obliged. Zoom h1 recorder.
