This is from a fan audio recording of the 1967 doctor who episode "tomb of the cybermen". The sound is now in the public domain. In 1967, these cybermen were voiced by peter hawkins using a vocoder or an electro-larynx, a device used to restore speech to those whose vocal cords are damaged by detecting vibrations of the throat. At the very end of part 2 of "tomb of the cybermen", the cyberman controller is awakened and says "you belong to us, you shall be like us!" to the cast.

The air con unit in our office regularly begins to howl like a storm wind. It was pretty difficult to capture. . . Had to come in early and setup a tascam dr-07 and let it run until the air starts to swirl and makes the noise!.

I couldn't find the right sound for my video so i decided to break out the frying pan to get the sound i wanted and decided to share! i used this to emulate the sound of someone hitting a chicken in a video game recording.

Just slowed and pitched down immensely and then with some added reverb to give it the creepy effects that i wanted to. I think it would make a really great ambiance to a creepy horror scene in some creepy abandoned. . . . Wherever you would expect to hear these kinds of sounds. I wanted to create a better sounding womb environment, and so i created this sound in audacity by combining a recording of my breathing along with a heart beat at 60 bpm, underwater sounds to simulate the womb environment and to top it off there's the muffled sound of a female voice reading a story to her unborn child. This is the sync pulse generated by the monotron that is used to sync it's clock to other monotrons. If you send this to your monotron via computer software sequencer (daw), you can sync the monotron to your host sequencer (i've been doing this with ableton live). It works great.
