A roar for a kaiju style creature. Lions, tigers, bears and a hint of whale song. Most of the sounds (a couple of bass instruments, several animal roars) come from garageband, along with some recordings of a human made on a zoom h1. All mixed together in final cut pro x with some pitch and reverb effects thrown on top for good measure. For attribution, please credit www. Laughingwiththestorm. Net.

I've encountered fantasicly squeaky screws when putting together an mdf cabinet. The screws were driven with a scredriver into pre-puchend holes in an mdf panel. Recorded with zoom h1 at 96khz / 24-bit. Converted to flac using sox. No processing or editing was performed for maximum flexibility nad retaiging highest quality. Also out of laziness. Enjoy!.

This is a squeak sound that i created by pressing a laundry cup together with my hands. It took me a very long time to replicate this exact sound as i had to press the laundry cup in my hands just the right amount to make this exact sound. I recorded this sound with my iphone. I am immensely looking forward to sharing more sounds with the freesound community, especially since i have been a part of this website for over ten years now!.

I was putting together a new under-bed storage crate and noticed the wheels made this awesome sound, almost like a laser gun or something. Granted, you'll likely want to do some manipulation to get to sound how you like, but i liked the sound so much i figured you might, too. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 and edited in audacity. I was looking for a sound in which a few high-pitched bells could be heard together with the spinning gears of the striking mechanism. I couldn't find a sound like that, so i made my own. The two bells are from a sample user 'nemodaedalus' uploaded (wuc_bell_high_and_low. Wav). I recorded the spinning gears myself. The sound comes from a 1920's junghans clock i saved out of a dumpster. It's pretty much broken, except for the striking mechanism.

A compilation of accidental recordings or recordings of terrible quality i made, with the pops and crackles and interesting parts all together. I think if rearranged this could be useful for making vinyl, analog sounding drum beats. I used a similar strategy for making my chai tea drums- https://freesound. Recorded on february 9, 2001 in an old appartment complex lobby on the 2nd floor. We held a fundraiser for a local charity and it included a place for people to get together, play board games and an n64 was set up. The sound features three people including myself playing a multiplayer level of donkey kong, people chatting, the heater running, elevator, faint backgroudn music and the sounds of the nearby hallway.

A quick and dirty sound effect i put together for a film school project. You could use this as a sound effect to accompany an arm or a neck being broken, or someone falling over and snapping a bone of some sort. I used this for neck breaking though. . . But you're more than welcome to use it on whatever you see fit. Technical details:. This sound was created with a twig and some tree bark, then mixed into adobe audition. Audio recorded in stereo with a zoom h1 on inbuilt mics.

A collection of sounds i recorded and subsequently mixed together in a composition. Here they are in their raw, unprocessed form. They include:. --continuous clicking from turning a removable screwdriver head--whispered breathing and grunting (recorded at a very high volume for intensity and boomy room tone)--a metal trash can clanging--a warbling falsetto climbing in pitch--faint taps--a plastic pill bottle being shook and twisted.

Recorded in july of 2019 at blue cliff monastery (pine bush, ny) using a zoom h1n and 3dio fs binaural microphone. At 9:30 p. M the"great togetherness meditation hall" was empty except for two meditators (one of whom can be heard leaving about three and a half minutes into the recording). The natural creaking of the building can be heard throughout. Additional sounds include outside crickets, cars passing on a nearby road, and an occasional airplane. The track volume was maximized using goldwave.

I initially created this snare using lmms ( linux multimedia studio ) and a single instance of the zynaddsubfx plugin. There were many effects and experiments done before exporting as an audio stem. Next i opened this stem ( single snare hit ) in bitwig studio and made a few copies of it and timestretched and chopped and then joined together in a group track the parts i liked to make the whole sound. Final effects included saturation, equalization , sidechain-limiting and compression.

Here's a sound of me opening a beer can. The stages are separated, but you can edit them together if you want to have the initial pressure release and the rest of the procedure. Or you could take each part separately and make something completely unexpected from this recording. Captrued using behringer b-1 microphone into presonus studio 24c interace into audacity using pipewire on arch linux at 48khz 24-bit. The audio is unprocessed, each bit straight from the adc. Layered out of an sks, ak47, uzi and a snare drum with a metallic texture. A short decayed 808 kick drum is occupying the sub frequencies. A bolt mechanic layer added before and after the shot transient. Two echo/reverbs were added for the stereo width. Shell eject layer added. All layers grouped together and lightly compressed and saturated. Made in ableton live. Enjoy.

Created and formatted for the make noise morphagene, this reel is divided into three sections with like sounds clustered together for ease of navigation. The first group of splices are glitchy, percussive, experimental, modular snippets. The middle third consists of melodic and chordal washes. The final cluster is a series of field recordings taken from a recent trip to beirut, lebanon, with a cut up inspired splice at the very end. Collectively, i hope this sonic material will inspire the user to mangle, manipulate, and deconstruct to taste.

This is a piece i put together using maestro for android. It took me about 90 minutes to do. If you haven't heard of this app, you need to take a look at it if you are a musician. The voices are pretty good in the free version (which i used for this), but i've read that the premium voices are better. Still, some of the free ones are really good. Use this piece as you want, but i would appreciate credit for it if you're going to post the work you do. Please leave comments on anything i've done here.

This is a section of the pack with 50 bass drum varieties. Most of them are just minor changes and they resemble extremely "similar" sounds however they're based on different wave forms which are mixed together to form varieties. Other parameters were mashed, some may have distortions some may not. All the sounds you hear are synthesized. Generally these sounds are for dance music, some of them are well suited for more experimental music as well. But it should not be limited to just techno or trance. . . .

A pistol being dry fired once. I created this sound back in 2019 using multiple recordings of an airsoft browning hi-power replica that i mixed together until it turned into this early 00s video game-y type clicky dry fire sound. Imho, it's not up to my current personal sound design standards, but i've decided to upload it regardless because maybe someone else can find a use for it. Credit isn't required if you decide to use my sound, but it would be greatly appreciated if you do!.

This is another spoopy long background music type thing i've thrown together with pitch shift and time stretch and echo. This one is a bit long to sit through and feels to me like it often needs more space in it, but i have no idea what i'm doing so i'm stuck with what i've got. For background creepy mood stuff there are definitely some good 30ish second stretches in there that are different enough from each other to suit somebody somewhere though, i'm sure.

Test of how uoki-toki polivoks vcf handles sin-wave (ca 270hz) when the filter is self-oscillating. I bring the uoki-toki polivoks vcf to self-oscillation and tune the vcf to ca 270hz too. The vco is also tuned to 270hz. In this test i connect the same lfo to cv1 on the vcf and 1v/oct on the module i use as vco (intellijel μvcf). I let the lfo run. Cv1 on vcf pot at 100%. They are playing together. The vco is connected to the in on the vcf. Confused explanation. . . But at least not in swedish.

This is the result of my big work with some samples from freesound and some samples that i made by myself. They were mixed all together and edited using lots of vst effects and software, reversed many times and mixed again, sampled in lo-fi quality and then again and again. . At first i wanted to use it by myself but then i thought: "why not share it with people? that can be useful. ". So please use it as you like, maybe you're an ambient or avantgarde music producer as me, and that can help you in your music. . Could be useful as a background. Enjoy!.

I am playing a 9ft long log of ash wood (fraxinus excelsior) that i cut in half and hollowed out then stuck back together 15 years ago. While i play it i am remembering when i cut it and the place it was growing and the reason i felled it, and remembering when i revisited that place 7 years later and saw the tree growing back so well from the cut. I am remembering/dreaming about all the other times i played it and the reasons why. I am "future dreaming" of what will be its part in the space opera and what effect it will have as well :).

Before corsica_s's girlfriend started taking so many requests, she never cursed. And i wanted to take the samples of her moaning and breathing heavy and combine it with some dirty-sounding stuff. But it ended up way too dirty a concept and i got uncomfortable and never used it. Anyway to create this i took the following files:. 72251__corsica_s__fight77238__corsica_s__bring_me_luck80306__corsica_s__oclock. And edited them together in audacity to manually create her saying "fuck". Then they recorded her saying "sexy motherfucker" and other shit and i realized i have way too much free-time.

An old project (2017, 4 years ago) i never uploaded anywhere before. I hope that others will take inspiration from this. This is practically a sequel to "muffled warfare" that i never released, and have titled it so. Inspired by this war of mine. A collection of sounds muffled and mixed together to create a warfare soundscape heard from within a church. A lone individual sifts through the scraps of war, and checks the worldwide news from his radio. The war marches on around them, however, and he must move on.

Sang with inbuilt laptop microphone into protracker v2. 3d's 8-bit sampler. Used audacity to elongate the samples. This is part 2 out of of 5 parts:hare krishna (part 1)krishna krishna (part2)hare hare (part 3)hare rama (part 4)rama rama (part 5). When put together properly (part 1 played twice, part 2, part 3, part 4 played twice, part 5, part 3) it constitutes the hare krishna mantra. Note that in this particular set, part 4 and part 5 are sampled one note lower than the others.

This sound is created with two sounds that i recorded at the university. First, the sound of the zip of the pocket and then the falling keys sound. First of all, i cut the two fragment, from two different track, that i wanted for my mix. After, i first worked on the zip sound, which was pretty bad recorded but, after reduced noises, all seemed better ! i made the same thing for the other sound, the falling keys one. Then i ad the last one at the end of the first one, mix a little bit to make the two sounds seemed natural together. After, i normalized the track. At the end, i saved and export my track !.

I composed a fairly long midi loop of chord progressions & let each section repeat twice. Then i layered a bunch of return tracks of the same line with arpegiated outputs played with straight, quarter note swing eight note swing, 16th note swing, & 32nd note swing all played together. The output was then compressed, heavily chorused through multiple fx devices, and stereo panned into the nonsense you hear. If you use this please comment a link, i don't need/want credit i'd just be super curious to see what you did with it!.

Making a happy occasion piano freestyle with the bright of bells. In my search, i was playing one and by mistake played the other together in the freesound page, it rhymed, so i did this. The piano is unmodified, the jangles had cuts of pieces, invert, volume envelope, and paulstretch (which makes the whoooosh, sidereal moments). ** all credit to >> symphoid <<, author of the original sounds here combined. This is my own kaiju i made last year, i first start with the concepts. And now getting to the part on the sound on what will it sound like, so i watch any behind the scenes on how any kaijus like godzilla sound where made. So i use wooden chairs i found around my house slowly drag it that makes these noises, after every sound recorded, i go with a empty tuna fish can and after washing it, it makes a interesting sound, so i recorded that as well and mix both of those sounds together which makes this. And yes i'm working on a project that base on this kaiju.

Made from taking two large atx (the form factor, the chassis) computer panels (that i havent used in quite some time), rubbing the entirety of them together quite brashly (one is on the ground), keeping the recorder on xy setup in my other hand in unison then dropping them onto each other. Inside of reaper, i begin changing the rate and pitching them down and applied saturation, distortion and reverberation gave them a very clean effect of a decrepit gate shutting down. Good for trapping your enemies in a battle to the death for which the title is inspired from; one of those tension moments a person in a film/game finds themselves in.

Something i threw together for a personal project i was working on. I couldn't find any high quality samples of a dragon so i decided to make my own. This was created using ableton and contains the following sounds:a dog growlinga lion roara horse gruntingan elephant vocalisinga flamethrower sound. All sounds used were obtained from royalty free websites and manipulated using software so that the original samples are not identifiable. The combining, layering and processing of the sounds were all done by myself within my daw. I hope those of you who find this are able to make great use of it. Feel free to link me to projects you may use this in!.

Sometimes, my imagination goes here, and further. I never offer explanations for the bits and bites i ask from him, and clearly, he doesn't check it out later. So i put this together out of thin air. Probably. My mom used to caution that i shouldn't watch those horror flicks, they would warp my mind. Well any fascination with the macabre came directly from her. Right, dad?. Anyway, she should never have said that. I took it personally. She won't do it again. There's just a chance that this guy took it personally too.

Various sound effects from children's toys edited together. All are on a low quality speaker, but are usually unique. All spoken word sounds as well as specific things like laughs or animal sounds are in different sounds. They range from real sounds like cowbells and car horns to blings and ascending synth sounding noises for a correct answer. (some tags describe one or two sounds in a long list, so listen to all of them if you're looking for something specific).
