Leaning on my computer chair that desperately needs some wd-40. This time, my mic is a bit further away, as well as an accidental thump. For reasons i cannot control, there may be noise.
Opening and closing an metal oven door a couple of times. Some wind audible in recording. This was an oven door in the ruins of the bakery in inneston ghost town, south australia.
I need a quick cough sound effect in the background of a video so i recorded this. I cough a couple of times on my build in computer microphone. Not the best quality but it gets the job done if it's in the background.
Mono. Recorded with basic uher tape-recorder, in sudan (by this time, in 1997). Close to khartoum, omdurman. Every friday, sufi are singing and dancing in large circles.
Raw audio of a street in bağcılar, istanbul at day time. Children playing and junkman yells on street. And birds flying. Recorded with rode k2 on the roof.
Recording of a telephone left off the hook. The tone is used in the mountain time zone of the us. Recorded from a cordless at&t; phone set on 'speaker', using an akg-c1000s.
A little party at my neighbour, most female, laughing loud talking. No music. They are speaking portuguese, but you can't really tell most of the time.
I was trying over and over again to open a file with my mouse but it kept on buffering! then i thought if i was going to click so many times i may as well make music with it.
We can consider this sound as constant or not constant because although a noise is heard all the time, there are moments when it becomes softer or even gets lost. Had to be triggered by someone trying to draw the curtain.
I took some matches, burned the whole package at the same time, then i moved it around the mic to get those lo-popping sound and all the hiss. I duplicated it on 4 tracks to get some stereo effect.
This is a soundscape of downtown athens. You hear the people walking by near a busy street with many restaurants there. It's located in the heart of athen's, the place with the most night life and activity during any time of the day.
Rain of varying strengh with thunder going on all the timerecorded at about 2am (local time) in my back yard. Recorder: zoom h1, no low cut or post-processing.
This is actually my favorite sound yet! there was a church clock going off at the time i was recording this, but, alas, i foolishly did not have my windscreen on, and i had to edit it out. Loopable.
While fooling around with the beat repeat plugin in ableton one day, i noticed it would do this cool rhythmic decrescendo whenever i would hit "repeat". But not when i would export! so i just kept messing around with a simple hi-hat loop with audacity running in the background. I've cut down and sampled this recording many times, think it's time i let it go to see what the internet can do with it ;).
A long trip with a touring bus from barcelona to germany. Recorded with mic of a sony xperia xz1 compact at 2:50 in the night, we are somewhere near lyon, the bus is driving approx 90km/h. Slight snoring sounds can be heard from time to time. My sounds are free. I'm always happy to see how they are used in your artowrks. Please enter https://freesound. Org/people/neolein/ in your references.
Gentle night time ambience. One car passes by, other then that, gentle blissful nighttime. The quiet winter gentle breeze carries itself over the roofs between the trees and homes where the lush forest once was. The car that drives by is a piece of sh*t you can totally tell hahaha. Hey btw, let me know if you use this. I recorded it for my song, and id love to hear what you use it for.
My great-uncle and great-aunt have an old grandfather clock. It doesn't quite work right and only chimes 7 times at 12 o'clock, so i had to record it at 11 and add another chime. Nonetheless, it makes for a great ambient sound, especially in a horror setting. I recorded it with my tablet (samsung galaxy tab a) and edited it with audacity (added in an extra chime, converted it to stereo, etc. ).
Please excuse the naming convention. It is for a university project that i had to begin with my student number. This is an ambiance recording of crickets during the nigh-time outside.
A sample i received from a person who went to india and recorded ambient sound there. This sample is of a man telling a children's story. It has been time stretched and edited for a more psychedelic effect.
This is a recording of me pressing a flat button on the radio couple of times with background noise deleted. You can edit and play with them and all that stuff. Enjoy!.
Stereo recording. I put an effect wahwah ( frequency 1. 5; phase departure 0; depht 70; resonance 2. 5, frequency wah 30%. I change the tempo (-12) and repeat the sound five times.
This is a mix i've done for the march contest. It uses a few short water recordings i made in my apartment which i convolved, mutated, phase vocoded, and time stretched in sound hack.
A new breath of an android, robot, a machine or an alien. Created with the plex synthesizer. This time: more fx. . . . Guitar amp, stomps, chorus. . . .
I did a ferry crossing over the little river mulde (was on a bike trip berlin-buscha ). The ferry is for pedastrians and bicycles only (some times a horse), it is without an engine, just power of muscles.
Brief sound effect of a zippo lighter being opened, struck and closed with ample time in between each action for all of them to be used separately from one another. Have fun with it!.
