This is a sound effect i made by messing around in garage band. It started out with a sound-effect of me typing, but i played around with the fx and now we have something strange.

A sound which was supposed to be an item respawn to replace the original item respawn sound in half-life 1. Sound made with audacity and goldwave, completely artificially generated.

This was originally a friend's cat meowing but it has been processed heavily. First, it was put through a granulizer and the pitch was dropped -2 octaves. The sample was then panned l-r using automation, and bitcrushed. Lastly, to get a slight detuned feel, i added a chorus effect. This sample sounds even better with some convolution or hall reverb but i left this effect out since it's usually a effect users want total control over. The end result is a strange, alien sounding noise.

Strange noise that emanated from a barn that was being built on the somerset/wiltshire border. Possibly created by the machine laying the flooring. Also wind, some distant traffic, birdsong.

I created a sinusoidal sound of frequency 200 hz and amplitude 0. 4. I played with the sound envelope on the sides and the middle then i repeated it to create a radioactive sound.

Took this off a video i was making. There seems to be a strange click just before each time the crow makes it's "caw" sound. Maybe that's what they always do but i've not noticed before.

This strange sound was produced by sliding a empty bottle upside down through a glass of water, changing its resonance and the frequency of the sound. Recorded with focusrite solo, sennheiser 64.

I record the wind blowing under a métal security door. It was inside a theatre. I was with my hand recorder nagra lino. Strange ambiance.

The sound started as a drop of water in a pot filled with water. I then slowed it down significantly. It startet to sound quite melodic like a chime. I added some reverb and echo and thats what came out.
