You will hear a general mainstationhall with an increasing siren from a rescuevehicle, interrupted by a general security announcement for all passengers in the trainstation. To be continued. . .

We hear the size of the space at first then a passenger announcement and eventually trains letting off compressed air, trains arriving and departing and more announcements. Finally, some passengers passing by can be heard speaking.

An empty car of the metro of porto, portugal arrives at an aboveground empty station on a january morning in 2022. Recorded with a zoom h1n. This was a no-service subway stop so the doors did not open and there is no passenger noise. The audio travels from one side to the other as the metro passes because of the stereo mics. Recorded at cardiff central railway station, south wales, uk, 27 october 2007. Background station noises are also recorded, “western champion” is heard with the maybachs idling whilst the locomotive is at rest. The change in engine pitch is when “western champion” accelerates away from the station pulling a train of eight coaches. Recorded, hand held, using built-in microphone to a pentax opti 750z digital camera.
