This is a recording i made using my tascam dr-40 field recorder. Used the xy pattern, no post-processing, just some edits to cut off unwanted noise, wind puffs and stuff. It was recorded in santo andre, state of sao paulo, brazil. This sample has street sounds, with rain, people chatting (in portuguese), bird sounds, cars, bikes and airplane sounds.

As part of a class assignment, we were given the hindi pop track "simply falling," and were asked to slow the track down add heavy reverb to it. The result is this eerie, noisy ambience of screeches, groans, and whispers. I've used this track in a few horror projects.

Save A Little Dram For Me song from United States prohibition era. MEDIUM: 1 sound disc : analog, 80 rpm ; 10 in. CREATED/PUBLISHED Orange, N.J.: Edison. Lyrics: (spoken) In the middle of the sermon, Parson Johnson rose and started sniffing the air. There was a peculiar smell tricklin’ up the parson’s nose. That told him that gin was ‘round somewhere. And he closed his Bible gently in the middle of the psalm and started figurin’ mentally where that smell was coming from. His eyes scanned every pew, and then he did declare, he says “I announce this meetin’ through… (sung) …until you kick in with my share.” Oh Bretheren if you want more preachin’ Save a little dram for me. Glory hallelujah Why drinkin’ gin ain’t against my teachin’. Treat me with equality. (spoken) From this here smell it’s very plain to see That somebody here’s been holding out on me. (sung) For Bretheren if you want more preachin’ Save a little dram for me. (spoken) Now when they passed the bone dry law, I was the very first to say that it never would stay And neither did I think the law could regulate our thirst. That’s why I’ve got some stored away. Now since prohibition’s got us drinks is few and far between. Of all the stingy brothers you’re the worst I’ve ever seen. But I insist on my share. Don’t say it’s all run out Or else you’re going where-- You know that bad place I been preachin’ ‘bout? (sung) For Bretheren if you want more preachin’ Save a little dram for me. Glory hallelujah Why drinkin’ gin ain’t against my teachin’. Treat me with equality. (spoken) I’ve shared your joy and I’ve shared your sin And believe me brothers I’m gwine to share your gin. (sung) For Bretheren if you want more preachin’ Save a little dram for me. Українська: «Збережи для мене трохи драм», пісня з епохи сухого закону США, випущена в 1922 році.

This is the one minute narration of a sound walk i did on september 7, 2019 at the afternoon. I walked the streets of 8117 garden grove ave. , reseda, california, united states. During this sound walk, i heard multiple sounds around me. These sounds are as follows: a garden hose gushing out water, a dog barking quite aggressively, a car passing by, creating a doppler effect, the footsteps on leaves and branches, and the soft breeze of the wind.

A recording made on saturday march 30th 2019 right beside a creek at giant city state park in illinois. The beautiful, pleasant sound of the creek dropping over a small sandstone rock provides a nice background to the very "happy-to-be-here" louisiana waterthrush. The birds have returned, and spring is on its way. . . The annual re-birth in the forests of southern illinois. Equipment used:zoom f4 field recordersennheiser mkh-416 shotgun microphone.

A la Nanita Nana, is an eighteenth-century Spanish Christmas carol here performed by the chorus of U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own", led by Colonel Thomas Rotondi, Jr. (Leader & Commander) and CSM Debra L. McGarity (Command Sergeant Major) c. 2010. It is done bilingually, first in Spanish, then in English. The English translation appears to have been done in house by the Army, as I can find no evidence of any other usage. CSM Debra L. McGarity

This is the final piece for our final project of sound creation laboratory. We have made changes in several ways: erasing redundant information (such as spoken words), filtered a section of the piece in order to make a sense of outside the club or inside the club. We also introduced an echo effect to make the effect of a drunk state. Furthermore, a bed sound has been placed at the final of the piece. This is a good improvement related with the final impression the piece gives to the audience. It's a recreation of tired atmosphere and also of the desire of sleeping.

Hark! The Herald Angels Sing is an English Christmas carol which first appears in its modern form in 1850. The original lyrics are adapted from Charles Wesley's 1739 hymn ""Hark! how all the welkin rings", set it to the same tune as Christ the Lord is Risen Today. George Whitefield altered the opening lyrics to the more familiar "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing", and various others also made small alterations in the following years. In the early 1840s, Felix Mendelssohn wrote "Festgesang", a cantata in celebration of the presumed 400 year anniversary of Johannes Gutenberg's invention of the printing press. The tune to the second part of this piece, "Vaterland, in deinen Gauen", was adapted to fit the revised Wesley lyrics in 1855 by William H. Cummings, assembling the hymn tune into its more-or-less final form. It is performed by the chorus of U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own", led by Colonel Thomas Rotondi, Jr. (Leader & Commander) and CSM Debra L. McGarity (Command Sergeant Major) c. 2010.

January 30, 2014. A major ice storm moves in to the east coast of the united states. Sitting in a small cabin in the woods of north carolina, the sound of ice particles (sleet) hitting a stove-pipe can be heard. It's cold. It's bleak. The power has just cut off. Sitting on the floor with a zoom h4n, i recorded the soundscape. Enjoy!. - christopher c. Courter.

Good King Wenceslaus, is an 1853 English Christmas carol, set to the melody of "Tempus adest floridum" a thirteenth-century Latin carol for spring. It is here performed by the chorus of U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own", led by Colonel Thomas Rotondi, Jr. (Leader & Commander) and CSM Debra L. McGarity (Command Sergeant Major) c. 2010. However, only verses 1, 3, and 5 are performed, giving it a somewhat disjointed storyline, which is very unfortunate.
Author: Tune is 13th century, first published in the 1582 Finnish song collection Piae Cantiones. Lyrics are by John Mason Neale (1818-1866), in collaboration with Thomas Helmore (1811-1890}. First published in Carols for Christmas-Tide (1853) Performed by the chorus of the U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own".

Troopers Tribunal (1905), was a circus march written by Henry Fillmore in 1905. To conceal who it was written for from his conservative father and publisher, Fillmore intentionally misspelt "Troupers", as in, a circus troupe, as something that appeared, at first glance, to be military (according to the liner notes to Front & Center, a Collection of American Marches, U.S. Air Force Band). It is here performed by the US Air Force Band for their 1998 album Front & Center, a Collection of American Marches, conducted by Colonel Lowell E. Graham.

Recorded with the mic on the rear bumper of a 1974 mgb sportscar. Start, drive off, up through gears, steady state, and shut-off. Very throaty period correct exhaust note appropriate for british sports cars from the 30's through 80's. Recorded outside of car so would work best for driving follow shots, drive by's, or car entering/leaving a scene. Think of a fighter pilot driving up in his mg car to the airfield in battle of britain; yeah, that kind of scene!.

A beautiful call of the eastern phoebe. . . This call is also a very unique call in the bird-world. In the eastern and midwestern united states, these are usually the first to arrive in the spring. I have seen these many times as i hike in the deep woods, but this was a nice surprise for me to hear one, literally, in my backyard about 7 o:clock in the morning. I recorded this one in my backyard -- i live in a small town in a rural area. I caught this on my handy zoom h4n recorder, using its internal, built-in stereo microphones set on a record volume about 70. Enjoy. .

Wasn't intending to record this, but it was so intense i had to. I couldn't sleep with the 50mph winds hitting right outside the bedroom. Worst storm i've been through since moving to washington state in 1999. It came from the east through chinook pass. I was kind of expecting the roof to fly off. You can hear the flapping of a tarp covering my old mercedes right outside the window. The wind shredded part of the tarp. Also, the snow drift hitting the window. I used my yamaha pocketrak and edited in sony vegas adding two extra tracks. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thanks. :-).

Piano Roll recording of Scott Joplin playing "Maple Leaf Rag" in 1916. The original Piano Roll had been scanned and converted to a MIDI file by PlayerRoll, but the work remains in the public domain. This is one of a number of rare recordings by Joplin. It also demonstrates the deterioration of his health, specifically its impact on his piano playing. Midi conversion by PlayerRoll, and found at: http://www.pianola.co.nz. Re-recorded as audio by Major Bloodnok using Cubase with a different piano sound. Slight echo added.

McGarity Modifications Levels adjustment - a basic linear tweak, with the lower notes being slightly quieter and the higher notes slightly louder. Also removed a slight tapping noise in the beginning, before the singing starts.

Potable hoover (vacuum as known in the states) powered-on. Portable vacuum cleaner turned on. Short sample which can be looped. Two samples are included, the first is about 30cm away from the microphone and the second is a close-up to the microphone. I would advice using the end of the audio file to apply noise removal however have left this upload of the sound unedited so you can tweak this yourself to find what fits your project best. Noise removal may not be necessary at all depending on how you incorporate the sound. Also to be fair, how do you add noise removal to what is essentially glorified white noise?.

This anthem commemorates the Liberation of Azarbaijan on December 15, 1946. In one of the first episodes of the Cold War, Imperial Iran overcame the puppet states installed by the Soviet Union prior to their exit from Iran's northwest. The region had been occupied since the Anglo-Soviet Invasion in the Second World War. Nurtured by Joseph Stalin, the territory of Azarbaijan was infested by Communists with the likes of Baghirov and political outcasts with the likes of Pishevari. This anthem, written by the famed Hossein Golegolab, is an ode to the true regal spirit of Azarbaijan. It was played during the commemorative anniversaries of the territory's liberation and was performed by the students of the Imperial Officers' Academy.

2016-06-01clear creek metro parkrockbridge, ohio. In late spring 2016, seventeen-year cicadas emerged in a section of the united states that includes eastern ohio. The cicadas crawl out of the ground, shed their skins, and climb up into the trees. One cicada makes a loud and distinctive sound, but a whole group of them creates a dull roar. This recording was made on the cemetery ridge trail at clear creek metro park in rockbridge, ohio. I was standing some distance from the cicada sounds, trying to capture the pervasive roar from a distance. Sound recorded using the built-in mic on an iphone 5.
