Several sounds combined to approximate the sound of someone getting smacked with the butt of a pistol. Whip crack with a metallic clank and a wet crack as it hits bone/flesh. Simulated by layering a whip crack, a punch, a metal clatter, and a squish made from stirring pasta in.

I needed a sound of someone falling down some stairs, so i grabbed a pelican case (took the camera out of it of course) and dropped it down the stairs a few times while my mate was holding a zoom recorder at the bottom. At one point the case hit my friend in the leg, but don't worry, he is ok.

I'm making a spooky scary video game and needed a "behind you" whisper to play over the shoulder of the player. After recording someone making a sound like "trrrrrrrrrrrr", i've applied the following effects :1)generate noise (red)2)i've modified the envelope of the noise in order to have it thin, then thick, thin-thick-thin-thick-. . . 3) i've put down the volume of the noise, and put the voice louder. 4) add a few effect with atom splitter audio : distroyr. 5)mix the tracks together.

I was making a short film and needed a specific sound effect, so i recorded myself trying to push something that's too heavy. I recorded the sound of my alarm clock using a zoom h4n recorder and a rode m3 microphone. I can picture this sound being used at the start of an audio documentary that discusses the morning routine of someone who has to wake up early everyday. Maybe even the start of a film; this loud and obnoxious noise is an instant attention-grabber.

This sound is a record of someone skating on cobblestones, so we hear the skate rolling on this ground. I've recorded this sound then i improved it on audacity, i reduced the wind so we can only hear de sound of the skate wheels. This is a long recording taken in the backyard of my neighborhood on july 4, 2021. There are lots of distant (and a few closer) booms and explosion sounds. Kind of sounds like a war going on! in this longer recording a plane also flies overhead, and someone drives down the street.

I had the sensitivity turned all the way up, and the microphone i am using isn't the best, but someone might get a use of it :).

Just a small creak from the chair in the office of a whalewatching captain i was interviewing. A bit of ambient noise. An long escalator i recorded in atlanta. The escalator was very noisy, and produced a kind of whining electrical sound that sounded almost spiritual. I do not know if the transcendent beauty of the escalator is captured sufficiently here, but i figured someone might be able to use it! there are a few faint voices in the background.

I was trying to make a subtle beat in the background of a song and turned up the cutoff and got this. It sounds like a robot frog to me, and i figured i might as well post it in case someone gets any use out of it. Changes pitch every four bars. 100 bpm.

I created this sound using lmms and 2 instances of it's zynaddsubfx plugin and a kick using the kicker plugin and some ladspa effects. I tried to emulate the "inception braaam " sound the best i could. Hopefully someone can find this useful to use in their project.
