My dreamtalk app picked up someone running past my window early hours of the morning, not sure if it's a child or adult. This app only activates when it detects sound and as well as dreamtalks it picks up some interesting sounds.

This is a long recording taken in the backyard of my neighborhood on july 4, 2021. There are lots of distant (and a few closer) booms and explosion sounds. Kind of sounds like a war going on! in this longer recording a plane also flies overhead, and someone drives down the street.

This is a short audio recording of someone cutting a very thick freshly-baked sourdough bread on a wooden cutting board in a big modern open home kitchen.

I needed a sound of someone falling down some stairs, so i grabbed a pelican case (took the camera out of it of course) and dropped it down the stairs a few times while my mate was holding a zoom recorder at the bottom. At one point the case hit my friend in the leg, but don't worry, he is ok.

This is one of my first experiments in audacity making a sound like this! i wanted to make a drone with my voice as a calming atmospheric background, but it turned out a bit creepy. I hope it can be of use to someone here!i'd love to see how you use it, but i don't require credit. Thanks!.

I was trying to record some "wind" noises with my mouth by blowing at the mics, when i came to close and my beard started to crackle against them. An long escalator i recorded in atlanta. The escalator was very noisy, and produced a kind of whining electrical sound that sounded almost spiritual. I do not know if the transcendent beauty of the escalator is captured sufficiently here, but i figured someone might be able to use it! there are a few faint voices in the background.

In this field-recording you hear someone (well, me) walking through snow. You hear the typical crunchy sound of snow and the leather boots squeak too. Since i have little knowledge about improving field-recordings i uploaded the files as they were, only cut off the switching on and off of the recorder (zoom h2n).

I've recorded this sound then i improved it on audacity, i reduced the wind so we can only hear de sound of the skate wheels. I've also tried to make that sound as clear as possible thanks to different effects.

Just a small creak from the chair in the office of a whalewatching captain i was interviewing. A bit of ambient noise. Not much of a contribution, i know, but i've been using little creaks such as this to recreate the sound of a 15th-century sailing ship, so thought it might come in useful for someone somewhere.

A helicopter circles overhead, a tv is heard faintly in the background, someone moves a dumpster in an alleyway, a truck backs up. Gentle traffic and background voices can be heard throughout.

My dream talk recorder app picked up my smoke alarm which went off for some unknown reason at 4 am. There was no emergency but thought someone might want to use the sound.

In this sound track, someone is handling a bag of crisps with strong intent on making rumple noises. The motion is holding and folding the bag of crisps. The sounds has a metallic quality to it, the motion is done at random. Useful for sample slicing. It is recorded with a simple tie microphone and then edited on audacity to reduce noise and isolate the sound.

This is the sound of a small waterfall i have that falls onto some rock steps and into a coy pond. You can hear the water plashing on the rocks and bubbling up through the filters. To create this sound i hit an apple with a pair of scissors in my bedroom. It sounds as if someone is being hit over the head with a hammer - i created it as foley for a student film for this purpose. I was making a short film and needed a specific sound effect, so i recorded myself trying to push something that's too heavy. It also can be used for someone who's trying to open something shut tight. I also added a scream because the character on my short fell after trying to pull, so you can use that too if you want :).

This is a sound i created specifically for a video a made a while back. It is heavily distorted, meant to sound like punches/blows to something or someone - sort of ip-man style. The original recording was done by repeatedly tapping a table with my fingers, so if you want to create something similar but without the distortion, think in that direction.
