Yet another "low, bassy thing". Will sound better once downloaded as the preview function sometimes adds compression artifacts. This one is loopable and might produce a mildly stupefied mental state in some listeners. So if you go and load it into your ipod don't try operating a vehicle or playing with power tools.

Quiet water dripping from a kitchen sink tap, with a rate going from approximately 99bpm down to 94bpm by the end of the recording. Captured with my smartphone's voice notes app. There's also some human voices in the background, possibly from another room or a tv.

Manipulated sounds, mainly dogs barking, recorded into a korg kaoss pad3 from a hp computer. The recordings on each pad edited to fit a time frame. Played on four pads on the korg pad and recorded back into the hp computer into cubase. Then manipulated further using standard eq and a tint of reverb. Location: reykjanesbær, iceland.

This is the digital belgian railroad crossing alarm sound. The belgian railroad company infrabel replaced all the mechanical bells at railroad crossings with a pulsating digital sound that they claim to be more efficient and safe then the previous analog bell sound. Infrabel made this recording available online as part of a media campaign about the replacement.

There are many ways to "listen" to a computer. The high frequencies are miles from what a human can hear, so you must divide and mix until you hear the computer "speaking". This one: simply placed the am mf coil close to a data cable to a pci slot. The sharp noise is not noise, but clock signals which are divided x times the rattling is caused by every move with the mouse.

Using thin double back tape, i taped the back of the mic to the back of the watch. This watch has cell phone option. I think the intermittent burst of static is the cell phone in the watch ranging signal, similar to a full size cell phone pulsing when they range signals. If anyone knows, leave a message.

While trying to get my microphone to work, it was having this unusual feed back buzzing pulsing sounds. Along with a strange noise. (this wasn't my voice, and the file hasn't been edited. ). "who's there?" and the "hello's" are of course me, trying to get the microphone to work. I decided to record it after i felt it was strange. The sound is of course free to use for whatever you desire, credit if you want and leave a comment below to be nice. :).

This is a 5 second rendering of the famous 1000hz censoring tone used on tv, movies and broadcasts. It can be cut, looped and used to censor audio that may be sensitive in nature or otherwise not fit for broadcasting. Made the tone using an analog tone/pulse generator fed into a focusrite scarlet 2i4. The sound is very clean (no noise). As this "tone" is fairly easy to reproduce and there is no copyright on it, i'm not going to ask for attribution or anything. Just use it as you see fit whether it'd be commercial or private. I drove my car into a wall; and recorded the proximity alert from it. I then washed it through audacity; slowed it 23%; and trimmed the edges. The result? -chilling. A few indistinct gulps cool the atmosphere a little more. It's not the making of a corpse - but it sounds a bit like it?. In my quest for that perfect sound that i'm looking for, i ended with something that doesn't quite fit the bill. Never the less, i think it has potential in the right hands. One thing i would like to point out is a single glitch at about 1. 907. I spent a couple of hours trying to figure it out. It may be a non-issue to someone that hasn't obsessed over it before, during, and after dinner. Use it and abuse it if it fits your needs. Some suggested sound design use cases: run this through granular fx for a nice drone texture. Use as an impulse response for a convolution reverb (then run tones through the convolution). Use as a trigger in vcv rack, allowing it's peaks to fire off samples or synth pulses. Or just use it plain within your next experimental acousmatic piece hit single.

The beautiful sounds of office life. This is audible interference from a cheap ballast in a florescent light fixture--or several in close proximity. (it's probably violating fcc regulations with rf output too. ) this was recorded with an iphone builtin mic, then processed to isolate the sound. It's a beeping / humming at around 3,800 hz. Each beep lasts about 1 second, followed by a half-second of silence before the next beep. Toward the end of this recording, it shifts slightly upward in pitch, to around 4,000 hz. Some typing on a keyboard can be heard in the foreground. (it's an office, after all. ).

A heartbeat sound i created. Fairly consistent through most of it, and then speeds up into heart-attack mode about 30 seconds from the end. To make it, i took a kick-drum sample and a snare-drum sample, and made a pattern of kick-snare, kick-snare, kick-snare, over and over. I then eq'd them to be less distinct and drum-like, added tape saturation to increase the low-end thumping, a small chorus effect and some compression to get rid of the drums' attack. . . Basically just over-processed the hell out of it. Then i used a plugin called wok m-st to get a fake hard-panned stereo effect. My goal was to make it sound like your heartbeat sounds in your ears when you've been running too fast for too long. I think it sounds cool.

Hey!. I've made this for a friend's project. But the project is now stalled, so i decided to release my work to the world. The sound is created with multiple layers of zynaddsubfx digital synthesizer. Sequenced and rendered using lmms. This was my first serious attempt at creating high-quality game sounds. I've spend quite some time refining and adding detail to the sounds, so they are rich and convincing. I hope this is a production at top level, that could be used in a commercial motion picture. As with my other sounds, i prefer quality over quantity. Here is another sound file that i developed over a couple of days. Similar to ss's pulse cannons, this one features a military battle featuring tanks, helicopters, jets, and strafing runs using high caliber chainguns. A lot of explosions and rocket fire is heard as well, and the audio is a bit loud. Sounds edited in audacity, some sounds recorded irl using my dslr camera system, the mixing was done using filmora9. Electro-magnetic interference from a desktop computer, and an at&t; cordless phone handset cl82301 when held near the internal ferrite antenna on the back right of a 13-year-old boombox listening to the am broadcast band. Recorded 2 years ago so i forget where i was listening. Recorded with goldwave from line-in. You hear emi from the computer at first, then i bring the phone on standby near the radio and you hear a series of nearly pure tones. The phone comes on and you hear a distorted dial tone. I move the phone away from the radio for a few seconds and you hear the computer again, then i bring the phone near and you hear a distorted busy signal. I disconnect and the phone continues sending to the base for a few seconds so you just hear a hum, then the idle tones are heard, then the computer noise as i remove the phone.

A heartbeat sound i made, complete with some gurgling, blood-rushing sounds. Just uploaded a version without the gurgling, in case you prefer the way that sounds. To make this, i took a kick-drum sample and a snare-drum sample, and made a loop of kick-snare, kick-snare, kick-snare, over and over. After that, i eq'd out the more drum-like parts of each sample, added reverb to dull it, a chorus plugin and some compression to remove some of the drums' attack. . . Basically processed the hell out of them. To get the blood gurgling sound, i filled a water-bottle almost all the way full and turned it sideways, so i had a massive air-bubble floating around. I then tilted the bottle back and forth in front of my blue yeti usb condenser mic, so you could hear the air-bubble swishing. I had to be pretty gentle, because if you rock the horizontal bottle too much, the bubble moves too fast and makes a fake-sounding "gloomp. ". When i was happy with it, i mixed the heartbeat sound and the gurgling sounds so they'd work well together. Both the sounds were in mono, so i used a free plugin called wok ms-t on both of them to create a fake hard-panned stereo effect. I wanted it to sound like you'd been running, and were hearing the heartbeat in your ears. I think it turned out pretty cool. .

Electro-magnetic interference from the colorino talking color identifier and light probe when held near the internal ferrite antenna on the back right of a 13-year-old boombox near the bottom of the am broadcast band, from 530 to 580 khz. You first hear the device inactive being brought near the radio. This gives a low buzz of stacato clicks. At about 00:23 the light probe button is briefly pushed, you hear a quick boop of the light probe with low light level combined with the beginning of the white noise of the device active. If you put your ear near it after you use it, you will hear a slight hiss from the audio amplifier carrier idling for about a minute after last use. On the am radio this translates to white noise. At 00:26 there is a double click and a distorted voice says black. The voice is being picked up by the am radio. 10 seconds of white noise and i press the color button again and it says black. I put something else over the color sensor and it says a few more things. At 00:51 i hold down the light probe button and try to point it at the light above my desk while still holding it close enough to the radio to pick up the emi signal. You hear a warbling tone at 00:59 as the light reaching the sensor increases and decreases in brightness depending on how it's pointed. The signal fades in and out as the device is moved around. This has all happened at 530 khz. At 01:37 i step the radio up to 580 khz where you get a stronger signal. Wibw from topeka competes with the noise throughout the rest of the file. At 01:51 you hear the distorted error beep as i press the color button without anything but air and light in front of the color sensor. It must be pressed up against the thing you want the color of, or it gets in too much ambient light and errors out with a loud protesting beep.

What i hear in this sound is a crashing starship as you regain consciousness surrounded by chaos of the crew and emergency systems.
