Standing on the dock at halesite marina in ny at approximately 11:00 p. M. On 8/26/19. Sounds include: the movement of a floating dock, water splashing, fish jumping out of the water, boat masts, wind, crickets/insects, a car being started, passing cars, and an airplane. Recorded with a sound devices mix pre-3 and an audio-technica bp4025 microphone (with a rode blimp windshield).

Lots of nighttime traffic and in the first two minutes, several loud vehicles pass and you hear three loud reports of distant fireworks followed by distant barking. There's about three more minutes of traffic and then the noise dies down to neighborhood hum in the last 45 seconds.

You know that high pitch beep you hear after something super loud, like an explosion? here's a five second effort to reproduce that sound. It fades out towards the end like the person either comes back to themselves or passes out. There's probably some on freesound already but i couldn't find them so i just made my own in audacity.

Spoiler alert - from the description, you might be led to believe that this is the sound of an old steam engine slowly chugging its way past you, under a bridge or through an old station. In fact, it is actually the sound of me scrubbing a textured shower-room floor. Nothing more, nothing less.

At closest to target it was recorded from about 33ft away from mower at farthest range about 40ft away. If you wanted the mower to be heard from an inside area you could add a high pass filter to the recording. Please note this wasn't taken with the average household mower it was taken with a heavy duty lawn mower used for cutting large areas of grass so it doesn’t have the same sound as a regular mower.

This is a background sound i've created designed to imitate the noise produced by a vast collection of typewriters being worked on in a large warehouse environment. All the noises within in have been taken from freesound. There are 8 different typewriters here. On some channels i stuck a lo pass and some big room reverb, and on others i added a little compression to bring them to the forefront. The whole had a hard limiter to -6 on the top.

Since the apartment was near the station, the train sound was unavoidable. But if this is used in a larger mix, it probably won't be noticeable.

The bell was cast in japan and had been installed in a free standing bell tower, as is customary in japan, and can be rung by anyone who passes by. It's timbre and sound reminded me very much of the bronze bell in hiroshima called the peace bell, which is in a tower directly across the river from the technical school ruins.

A semi-automatic rifle, pitched down 3 semi-tones. Made in bitwig, i used 10 different recorded gunshot layers that have been eq'ed and multiband compressed to form a new gun sound. Subbass was synthesized for the super low end. The process i use is to select frequencies using high pass and lowpass filters from a recording for the lows, mids and highs. This is a foghorn-like sound that i created using an accidentally recorded poot from a friend. I stretched the sound bite a few times while lowering the pitch, added a couple different reverb effects, and then finished it with some parametric eq, raising the bass, and using a low pass filter to cut out the high frequencies.
