A zoom h1n recorder was placed below the wind chimes and set to record in wav format. The high-pass filter in audacity was used to reduce wind noise. The recording was made in march of 2021.

This street corner is a common place for students to pass during the day, and these sounds are representative of what goes on in the city we go to school in, but they are sounds we may not always pick up on because they are so normal to us.

I believe this was recorded with a sound devices 702 and a neumann rsm 191 stereo shotgun in a concrete stairwell. You can hear the rain hitting the stairs and going down the drain. It's also hitting some junk at the top of the stairs. There are big thunder claps and more distant rumbles.

There was a busy street 50m far from the apartment building itself, a bit further there was a park. Rain at that night was heavy. Lots of nighttime traffic and in the first two minutes, several loud vehicles pass and you hear three loud reports of distant fireworks followed by distant barking. There's about three more minutes of traffic and then the noise dies down to neighborhood hum in the last 45 seconds.

A nice & sunny recording session at the airport! positioned right at the flight path of departing planes, this served as a test recording for the tascam dr-40x. At some point during the session i decided to point the recorder straight up, instead of towards the planes themselves, creating a nice stereo "pass-by" effect.
