We were staying at an eco hostel outside of foz do iguaçu in southern brazil, and i had a moment to go over to the edge of the forest and record the sounds of the animals on my phone. You can hear a faint wind overhead. It was a peaceful afternoon.

This is a sample of about an hours worth of recordings i got on this storm. Heavy rain and the lightning got so bad later i had to shut off my computer. 3am couldnt sleep.

Planted my iphone 6 right at the opening of a garage during some pretty heavy rain. Includes broad rain sounds, some close drips, some distant cars and an occasional bird noise. Pretty multi-purpose i'd imagine. Have fun with it. Or don't. I don't own you.

This is a recording of a church bell ringing before the evening service. Bell is playing a slightly flat b3 (around 240hz) with nice harmonics (very loud at d4). I was recording it on my laptop from the yard behind the church using two shure ksm32 large condenser mics and a rme fireface uc. Hpf at 60hz, no postprocessing.

Walyunga is a haven of peace and tranquility just outside of perth. It's one of my favourite hikes in the area, as it's only a couple of hours long and combines proximity to water, a bit of a climb, stunning views of perth's skyline, solitude, and gorgeous flora and fauna. Standing outside of the catedrala sfânta treime, an orthodox church in sibiu/romania. These samples come from a gakken sx-150, a small analogue synthesizer kit that was released in japan 2008 as part of the gakken hobby magazine series. The synth became very popular also outside of japan, mainly because it's a low-cost analogue synth with a great sound that offers lots of possibilities for circuit benders.

This is a variation of a hyper-popular wilhelm scream. Since it's 2017 outside, using wilhelm causes everything turn to a comedy. This one sounds fuller, richer, up-to-date. A thin wooden door, locked from the inside with a bolt. Someone forces it open from the outside. This is the sound of the bolt tearing through the wooden door-frame. I mixed the splintering of wood with a dull clang of metal on metal to simulate the situation. Recorded with a rode video mic attached to a camera. My first time recording a sound!.
