A light rain and some thunder recorded from the inside of my apartment, to a light open window on my shure mv88. Unprocessed. Some cars passing by, rain receding.

I was given a text to speech program to play with and this is what i came up with using audacity and some sound clips/fx from the library. All sounds are free to use combined on open source software. Short ditty 1 minute.

Mics are pointed upwards into the wooden box roof of the shelter, which has added a somewhat eerie and disconcerting lower mid rumble to the scene. This recording was taken with a rode nt4 mic and with a didge of mine in the key of b from northern queensland (kuranda). I have a tiled square enclosed shower so the reverberation is crazy, have a listen to my other recording with the same didge and mic (titled didge. Wav) but in an open room for comparison.

A soft and subtle, unedited sound recording from my studio in leeds. On the top floor of my terraced house, i have a large window that opens out onto a quiet street in north leeds. A school is nearby, so there are some elements of children screaming, but overall you get a nice wash of bird song, quiet car sounds and mild wind. This recording would be excellent for atmospheric sound for film, tv or whatever else. Feel free to use this sample and contact me if you want some extended recordings as i'm planning on recording a few more field studies from my area, which is lovely and removed from the main city.

On many days i take a two mile walk from my house to my job. One gorgeous day i took my zoom h1 and sampled audio at various points during this walk. To avoid footsteps, i recorded each location standing still. In this file i gradually crossfade between the different locations. The walk begins on a suburban street, goes past a park where children are playing baseball, then a busy intersection, then a factory with open windows. A couple planes can be heard overhead.
